The three star rating is in my view exceedingly generous, the absence of the "Hotel" name being clearly displayed outside made it difficult to locate and from there things got worse. We were located in a basement room adjacent to t store room, there was a strong aroma of cleaning agents in our room and the hallway outside. The room itself was clean but very small for the hotels rating and price. The breakfast was self service,to the point of boiling the water ourselves to make coffee.
This hotel is well worth missing.

Nicely decorated at entrance, lounge, breakfast room. Overall clean appearance and freshly redecorated. Room was very small and facing Cromwell Road, noisy traffic but was not a problem by bed time. Bed was comfy, fresh clean linens, but room was so small the bed was pushed up against the wall on one side. Didn't mind for the discounted price we paid. No mirror in bathroom (odd), but large mirror on wardrobe. Blind wouldn't open, but could be pulled up. The breakfast was practically inedible. For such a nice redecoration you would think they would upgrade the food slightly. Very poor quality bread for toast, instant coffee. How hard would it be to get some cafetieres, or a coffee maker? I'm not much of a breakfast eater, so didn't mind, but if you are, you will want something else to eat. I would probably stay again in a pinch and with the discount, because cleanliness is important to me, and this place was clean. It could be so much more of a lovely experience if they did something about the breakfast. Just a few small gestures would go a long way here.
