The bedrooms are all in very good condition and range from small to medium in size. Some have special features such as being split level or having exposed wooden beams etc. They all have rose and gold bedspreads and blue and gold curtains, with rosewood effect furniture. The bathrooms, which only have a shower, are also in excellent condition, with granite floor and hair-dryers. This is an extension of the lobby and serves breakfast only. It is designed in the style of a train restaurant car with banquette for tables, decorated in green and wood and with pictures of trains as well as luggage racks and a train track along the floor. This is a traditional building in keeping with its neighbouring buildings in the typical Dutch style. The lobby is small and narrow but completely refurbished and very attractive with a mahogany effect reception desk. There are train tracks painted on the floor which lead to the breakfast room and elevators. This hotel is without doubt one of the best 3 star hotels in Amsterdam, and with an excellent, central position is perfect for all markets. 040208JG

Excellently located in the centre of Amsterdam, opposite Central Station and so within walking distance of all major attractions and shopping and entertainment areas.

Our Customer stayed here in October 2008

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. It was our first visit to Amsterdam and the location of the hotel was fantastic. Everything was on our doorstep. The hotel was very unusual and it certainly lived up to its name.Our room was clean, staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and we would certainly stay there again.
