Apogia Sirio Hotel Venice Mestre

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were there to visit Venise. We've had a little problem with the shower and bad smell... The staff kindly proposed to change and then it was OK. The Staff was very friendly, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay !

the hotel was located about twenty minutes from the main train station in Venice Mestre. the bus to Venice did leave from outside the door and and dropped us back pretty close too, which was very useful. the staff were polite and spoke excellent english but were not friendly and were quite disorganised at check-in. the room was good, clean and bright, with good air conditioning. Breakfast was pleasant but waiting staff were quite rude. Overall the hotel was adequate but did not deserve it's four-star rating. three stars, being generous!

This was an absolutely fantastic hotel - it was listed as a 3* but certainly matched any 4*s that Ive stayed in. The location was brilliant, abouut 20 minutes bus ride from Marco Polo Airport and even closer to Venice Island. The Sirio's exterior was decpeptively plain and dated. The recption area was beautiful (marble floors and sheek finishings) and the rooms were finished to a really high standard. Double windows also prevented any noise from the busy road outside disrupting our stay. All the staff were friendly, and we had some laughs at my befuddled attempts to speak Italian. We found ourselves enjoying a coffee in the hotel bar every evening, which I think was in no small part due to how welcome the staff made us feel. This hotel was exactly what we wanted, giving us the luxury of a high spec hotel very near Venice without the extorntianate prices you pay to stay on the island. It certainly helped to give me and my girlfriend a one year anniversary to remember.
