I unfortunately was embarrased about the condition of this hotel. First they wanted to give us a room in a building across the road, but we even didn't get there because we couldn't use the steeping stairs without any rail. Then we got a double instead of a twin room, which formerly must have been a kitchen (with blinded windows i.e.) and it, though renovated, still hat this atmosphere. It even had various lacks like the "kitchenette" had no fridge (but a washing machine) but not the facillities to use it, the bathroom was so small that it caused physical injuries etc. So I cannot see where the 2 stars are, the hotel were given. But I don't blame the hotel for that, but the fundamental problem is, THEY DON'T KNOW, how to run a hotel. The stuff tried to do everything to satisfy us (gave us a second bed the next day and a fridge) but they were overcharged with everything they did. They stuffed one hole with another, as we say in German, and nobody wins with that approach.
BTW, breakfest, though only continental, was more than average - it could have been a bit more diverse, (only one sort of jam i.e.) but it was rich and comfortable.
