Athlone Hotel Reviews

This was my second stay in the Hodson Bay and once again I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay. Great food, great breakfast. The bar is nice and the leisure facilities and grounds are top notch. I found the staff extremely helpful too, although I did get a pain in my ass from having to traipse downstairs several times a day to get my room key reissued - the magnetic strip kept fading and my key never seemed to open my door more than once! My room as spotless but a little small, the TV was pretty poor but that is just about the only thing in my whole stay that was substandard. Its a great hotel, go for it!

I was at a wedding in Hudson bay it was a fabulous day the reception was top class the staff couldn't do enough for everyone .the bridal suite was out of this world

We found that the Creggan Court was a lovely clean hotel. We intended to use it for the sole purpose of somewhere to put our head down. We found ourselves late in one evening and the hotel agreed to keep the chef on to serve us dinner. I found this extremely good serve. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the beds are a little soft for my liking!!!

This was our second time staying at the Shearaton. On this occasion we opted for the inclusive dinner package and we were very impressed with the standard. The room was clean and spacious and the staff genuinely friendly. The Sheraton Hotel would entice any visitor to Athlone with their competitive rates, free parking and discount vouchers for the shopping centre. Already booking our next visit to the Sheraton.

A group of 5 women stayed the night and we all had a fantastic stay - couldn't praise it high enough !! Definitely recommend for couples, families and groups of friends - you can't go wrong !!

Central location, clean room, perfect for a short stay

Very nice stay. Great location in the town and right beside the shopping center. Had evening meal in the restaurant and very impressed with the food and service.

I thought that the hotel was very nice, very clean with very helpfulstaff. however one thing did annoy me, it was the cost attached to bringing your breakfast to your room. €14 to carry two plates to a room is just disgraceful. They surely cant possibly stand over that but apart from that the rest was class, I would recommend, just not the breakfast in bed part. lol!
