A bit noisy, but to be expected in a city centre hotel but great value hotel and a good breafast

The Auto Hogar Hotel was very accomodating.......... staff was very attentive........... breakfast was good.......... and we were given a room with a small balcony. We would have preferred a location that was closer to the Upper Ramblas Avenue, but overall for the price it was an excellent value.

I highly recommend the Auto Hogar Hotel in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter because of its central location within walking distance of many of the best sight-seeing spots the city has to offer. With good-sized nicely furnished rooms with balconies overlooking mountain or harbor views, after a great free buffet breakfast you can stroll to the Christopher Columbus statue, the Cathedral de Sevilla, the Olympic Port or the La Rambla.

The location was very central and the staff were very friendly and professional. However the rooms were cold and the heating is not turned on until December despite the chill.The remote controls for the tv are reatained at reception and not in the rooms which was awkward. The rooms could do with some modernisation and some tea making facilities.The breakfast buffet was very tasty and plentiful. However some fresh fruit would be welcomed.
