Due to the age of the building the rooms vary considerably in size. On average they are small to medium sized. They are simple and cosy in style with low ceilings and lots of attractive, exposed woodwork and solid, rustic furniture. Both the rooms and the simple, but clean and functional bathrooms are in good condition. It should be noted that some rooms are located in the hotel's equally charming residence building which is opposite the hotel. The main restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is rustic in style. Groups take breakfast and sometimes half board in the historic group dining room on the first floor however. The hotel is a charming, traditional Swiss chalet style building with colourful flower boxes and hand carved woodwork. The lobby is very small and cosy with a traditional Swiss rustic atmosphere. The hotel is located on the quiet main street which leads from Interlaken, through Wilderswil, and on to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Interlaken is a 05 mins drive away, but Wilderswil is a charming village in its own right.
