We had a large room with kitchen facilities. The hotel has a free parking. The breakfast is basic. Considering the price, it is a very good choice especially if you have a car. If not, it is close to a train station.

This hotel has to be the cheapest rate in Zurich. I paid only $37.29 per night! The location is 1/2 hour away from the center of Zurich by trolly car. Trollies run every 7 minutes so it is easy and relatively quick to get to the center of Zurich. Also this hotel is only about 8 minutes by trolly from the airport. It is easy to find as it is on a main street and only a 1 1/2 block walk from the trolly station. The rooms are small and simple but clean. The food in the restaurant is good. The staff was ok, but nothing great.

The room was OK for our requirements. However the light switch on entering the room didn't operate any lights in the room, we had to find and plug in the only light available which was at the far side of a dark room. On arrival the landing lights outside the room were not working and when rectified only one bulb worked. No lights were working in the shared bathroom and again when rectified only one bulb worked. We were disappointed not to have en suite facilities as this was not made clear when making the booking but this was not the end of the world until we saw the state of the shared bathroom which was appalling. It obviously had not been cleaned for a long time and was filthy (floor and shower cubicle, the latter was falling apart). We have actually stayed at the Bahnhof before on a similar basis and had a room with en suite facilities which was fine and there were no problems but based on this experience we will not be staying at the Bahnhof again.

The room was nice and clean, big bonus for the free towels! The house itself was a bit worn down but okay anyway.

I suggest improuvements in the bathroom and shower. Whilst the water was running, il lacked sanitazing product, the fan looked bizarr and all in all the aspect of both rooms was nearly gory. But overall we had a brief but pleasant stay at the Glattbrugg Hotel in Zurich. For an overnight stay as ours it was ideal, not too far from the airport and giving us the posibility to go by tram to the center of Zurich to visit.The room itself was renovated, tiny but clean.

Before there, I thought it was far away from the Zurich HB.But the location is nice and if you take the train S5,it is only 3 or 4 stops there. I didn't expect that I can live in such a nice room since it was only 22 euro. There is even a refrigerator in the room The breakfast is also good although there are not so much choice but bread, cheese,milk, yoghourt,fruit and coffee are included. The reception is also helpful. And the downstair is the restaurant. if you have meal or buy some drink there, you can have 15% discount with your roomkey. A little weakness is that room I living is close to the main street and it is a little noisy if I open the window.

When we tried to check in, there was no one in reseption. We asked 2-3 times from people at restaurant site to ask somebody to come, but no one came. So, I had to call to phone number of hotel before we got somebody to check us in. Weird... Room were big, own kitchen was also nice to have, but there were no dishes or cauldrons at all... so we couldn't use the kitchen. Breakfast were satisfactory, but on weekend there was only one person to take care of it and he/she didn't... anything you wanted you always had to ask like coffee, bread, juice, cheese... Also no one cleaned tables when a customer leave after breakfast, so during weekend we had to clean them ourselves to make some clean space to have breakfast. That was very annoying. But on Friday evening we ate at hotel restaurant and then everything went like they should and we had a good service. After all, hotel was ok, but workers could do it way much better.
