Beacon (Room Only) Hotel Dublin

The room was beautiful and the bathroom was lovely and spacious. We stayed on a Room Only basis but had breakfast and dinner at the hotel too at very reasonable rates. The thai restaurant is fantastic - Well worth a visit for dinner. The hotel is nice and close to Dundrum Shopping Centre and easy to get to from the M50. I really enjoyed my girlie night stay, catching up with an old friend, at this hotel.

Fantasic boutique style hotel - the friendliest staff I've ever come accross in the hospitality industry in Ireland, they were so helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The bedrooms were modern and beautiful with your every whim catered for. The My Thai restaurant had beautiful fresh food full of spices and flavour. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is wonderful - you'll thoroughly enjoy your stay!

We had a superb stay in the Beacon, the room was beautiful, breakfast was fabulous and the Thai restaurant was amazing, highly recommend the Beacon, definitely going back!!

A hotel definitely not for the business traveller, it is a boutique hotel for relaxation only and appears to actively discourage business use due to lack of/inaccessible plug points; a chair (small, solid perspex) which is the most uncomfortable ever sat upon; a glass desk which is far from ideal to work at. In addition several health & safety issues such as the very large mirror leaning against the wall, unsecured, behind which there is a plug point; and the tea and coffee tray which contains the kettle which to be able to use has to be moved to plug it in either behind the unsecured mirror with the tray on the floor or to one of the other 2 plugs which are behind another fixture and due to the very short flex it is difficult to plug it in - again it appears use of this is not encouraged!

Real Miami Beach style to the hotel which was unusual but enjoyable at the same time! Staff were very friendly and amenable and the service was very good. Food and beverage was of a high quality too. Location was great too. Only thing I'd have improved upon is that our room didn't have AC which meant it was a little stuffy without the windows open and also the curtains didn't block out much morning light so black blinds would have been good. DVD player in a hotel room of this quality is also a must. All in all though, a place to be recommended.
