Customer Reviews for Best Western City Hotel Moran Prague
Our Customer stayed here in May 2011
I stayed 2 nights at this excellent hotel on a short visit to Prague. The building is a large old building which has been very well converted into a hotel. The location is very handy if getting the bus & metro from the airport (Bus 100 from the airport to Zilcin Metro station and then a 20 minute metro ride to the Karlovo Namistry station which is very close to the hotel). Check in was very fast and everyone was able to speak english. I had a nice large room at the back of the hotel on the 1st floor. There was free Tea and Coffee making things in the room, and a good sized TV with plenty of channels. The room was nice and quiet at night with no noise coming in from outside. (This hotel has a older clientelle - luckily no sign of rowdy stag, hen or school parties). The windows looked out over a annex roof and then to some neighbouring buildings.
Breakfast was excellent - fresh meats, rolls, and cheeses. Also a very friendly staff making sure everything was replenished. You can help yourself to coffee and fresh juices.
At check in , they also give you some brochures about Prague and a handy city map.
There is a small alcove in the reception area which acts as a little shop (for things like crisps and soft drinks and general supplies). This could be handy if its wet or late at night, though at other times there are plenty of shops and supermarkets near the hotel anyway.
From the hotel its about a 15 minute walk to the centre of the old city. It’s a nice stroll going along the banks of the river and the area around the hotel seemed very safe and pleasant even later in the night.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone going to Prague for a short break, or on business, and I hope to go back again myself another time.
