Really nice hotel, friendly staff, great value, great location......
Could not find fault. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really nice breakfast. Would recommend this hotel if going to Cork.
Although this hotel is expensive I think it's well worth every cent. Beautiful location fabulous staff and very plush.
We really enjoyed our stay at this fantasticly run hotel. We were there for our friends wedding. On our arrival we were greeted at the main door by a manager and our bags were taken by the concierge. The check in area is a lovely area with individual check in desks. We were then escorted to our room. You couldn't fault the room in any way, being spotlessly clean and tidy with the usual comforts, the bathroom is spectacular and un expected finished to a super standard. Every Staff member you meet is very friendly and helpful. The reception hall was designed and set up beautifully, everything finished off to the highest quality. To sum up the hotel, one would have to say that it is a lovely hotel well run in a gorgeous area of Cork.
We stayed in Jury's Cork for 2 nights in March . First impressions from the outside were quite depressing . The reception area is also a bit dated . However we found the receptionist and the rest of the staff very helpful and friendly . The hotel is spotlessly clean , as are the bedrooms . The bedroom itself was grand , basic but clean , the only problem was that there was no net curtain on the window and as we were overlooked by offices and apartments we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time , it was also very warm even when we turned off the heat . Breakfast was excellent , great selection and cooked food was nice and hot . The bar is quite nice , a bit quiet but fine for something to eat or a late night drink . The restaurant food was pretty good not a great menu though . . Overall we enjoyed our stay in Jury's and would stay there again . Top marks for cleanliness , friendliness , location , and value for money .
We were on a w/end break to Cork City and Jurys Inn definitely a great hotel choice. Located only few mins walk to city centre meant all the shops, restaurants and bars only a stroll away. Room very clean and tidy and the food downstairs in the restaurant excellent. Parking at the hotel can be limited though...we were lucky! Overall will most certainly stay here again when visiting Cork.
I brought my U.S friend with me to the Clarion Hotel in Cork. She thought it was very efficiently run and we had a good time there. She loved the breakfast(including delicious brown bread!) and thought the staff were very helpful. Its in a marvellous location as its within walking distance of the city centre(including The English Market)!
Clean & tidy. Helpful staff
brill, had a great day at the wedding and a lovely room
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was working in the area and it was so pleasant to come back to in the evenings. Staff were very friendly and rooms were very well kept. I thought that the weather update and lavender scent left in the rooms was a very nice touch. The gym and pool were also to a very high standard and were a great way to unwind in the evenings. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and I would definately return.
Good value hotel but a bit noisy. We stayed in the Montenotte hotel for one night on the Friday night of the May bank holiday weekend. The hotel was relatively easy to find and was not too far away from Cork City centre - though, be warned, it is probably a taxi spin to the city centre as it is up a very steep hill and approx 20 mins form the city walking downhill. The carpark beside the main entrance was very handy, but, be warned, if arriving late in the evening the overflow carparks are quite far away down quite an incline - bit of a nightmare in the pouring rain with crying baby. We had both a single room and a family room booked, all of which were fine, a bit basic but very clean and well kept. We had booked a room only rate so we didn't eat in the hotel. For the money, this was a good fit and the staff were very friendly and very helpful at check-in. Later in the evening, we found that the radiators in the rooms were switched off (yes, radiators, not aircon) and upon switching them on (screwing the valve) the room became quite warm (and then we had to switch them off during the night as it was far too warm - explains why the radiators were switched off in the first place maybe). We were awoken a number of times during the night however, with people shouting and moving about the hotel. The walls are not really well soundproofed and we were all woken on quite a few occasions during the night, for extended periods as arguments etc continued... As I said, we stayed on the friday night of a bank holiday weekend but still, you would expect to have more soundproofing than we experienced. We were also awoken early in the morning by what sounded like teenagers playing some game loudly at the back of the hotel. My wife made commented to the staff at the hotel about the noise while holding our 5 month old daughter at checkout. One staff member laughed and said "wasn't that gas?" while another staff member apologised and hoped it didn't inconvenience us too much - full marks to the second employee who wasn't serving my wife but did overhear and offer an apology. Overall, it did what it said on the tin, was a good fit for the budget and our requirements, staff were (for the most part) very helpful and friendly, noise was an issue.
my husband and I visited for the St Patricks weekend and had a very enjobable time. We found the staff very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the rooms very clean and bright.the only downside was the parking, we had to park at the back of the hotel and it was a bit of a trek back from the car to the lobby.
The Ambassador is a very friendly hotel . Staff are very pleasant,Room was very comfortable , breakfast was expectant. Over all stay. Very pleasant! "will be back" .
We stayed for 1 night to meet up with friends. Very nice, clean hotel. Beautiful big and comfortable rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and very good value. Would stay again.
Good hotel. Friendly staff and central location. Absolutely value for money and will stay there again.
Everything was as expected. The room was clean and quiet. The staff were professional. The room was small and was fine for just one person but would be a squeese for two. Pool is lovely and quiet also. Great location for shopping or theatre weekend.
Stayed here for 4 nights over St.Patrick's weekend. Nice hotel in an excellent location (probably Cork's most central hotel) close to shops, bars, restaurants and bus station. Room was nice and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Ate in the restaurant one night, which was very good. Overall, very good stay, for a fantastic rate I got with Roomex :)
Not sure if this is a 4 star but really felt it was a three star. One issue i did have is that the car park is not attached to the hotel and so if was a good 5 minute walk from the hotel. Dont mind walking but if the weather was bad and i had no brolly, i would be soaked getting to the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was grand, not the best but not the worst either.
