The Burlington is a great hotel in a great location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice and spotlessly clean. My only complaint was the temperature in the rooms. I didn't sleep well because of the heat..

We were attending a Christmas party .The rooms were shabby and the heat was turned off when we arrived. The food on the night was awful and the breakfast was no better. The bar/floor/security staff had a degree in ignorance. The venue was also overcrowded to the point of concern for one's safety had there been an emergency. This is the second year that we used this venue ,last year was poor ( had to move rooms 3 times ) We were told at the time that the problems we had were due to some renovations that were taken place at the time. The venue is convenient for us so we decided to use it again having been assured that it would be up to standard this year. BIG MISTAKE This Hotel falls well short of it's 4 Star rating .

Found staff at the Burlington very helpful. I arrived at 8 p.m. all car park spaces were gone as there was a party night on the concierge kindly lifted the barrier and allowed me park in a reserved spot which I was very grateful for. The hotel itself I found to be very shabby for a four star hotel e.g. chips out of coffee tables in reception and frayed carpet in breakfast room. It felt a little bit on the grubby side. My room was a little cold but clean and fairly basic for four star. Breakfast was very good and location to city centre was excellent.

We stayed for one Saturday night and found the stay ok. The reception area was good with friendly and helpful staff. However our room was not ready (this was 2.30 in the afternoon). The room when we got there was adequate for our needs. We had a snack at the bar but found the food to be pricy. Breakfast was excellent with a large variety for all tastes. Location meant a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to Grafton Street or €8 taxi ride Roomex secured an excellent overnight rate for us which more than compensated for any shortcomings we encountered. Overall the Burlington was a good location for our stay.

Staying at the Burlington was great. It is conveniently located, the airbus stops right in front, nice and welcoming reception and lovely bar with friendly personnel. Disadvantages: no vegetarian food in the restaurant and we had room nr. 400, which was a very, very long way from the reception. The room itself was perfect though. Good beds and pillows. Very good price/quality ratio.

I stay in the Burlington Hotel everytime I visit Dublin as its location is excellent and have never had a bad experience. This visit was the the same except for some minor incidents. Upon arrival I was surprised to find that the Carpark was full and even though I was a resident of the hotel this did not mean I was entitled to parking space. Luckily another car was leaving just as we were talking to the Parking attendant and I was able to get a space. The only other bad experience this time was that the bar staff were extremely poor. The service was unbeliveably slow so much so that we left immediately after the first drink. Everything was great, The room was fine and the breakfast was superp. I will be staying in the Burlington again but the next time I will be bypassing the hotel bar and heading straight to Baggot Street.

Overall our stay in the Burlington was very good. The room was nice and we got a good deal. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choices. The staff were also nice. The only criticism I would make was that the front desk could not be contacted at 4.30am when we were lying awake listening to a group of lads singing very loadly in the corridor for ages, it would have been good if someone could have just come up and moved them on. I did mention this to the staff at the front desk when we were leaving the next morning

This is in a nice part of the city, not too noisey, well serviced with public transport, and not too far away, walking distance to St. Stephens Green. When we checked in the guy on the desk was extremely polite, and our room was really nice, fine big comfortable bed, and tea making facilities. Breakfast in the morning was great too, definitely will be back here to stay!

We really enjoyed our quick stay at this hotel, up for the Dublin City Marathon. You couldn't fault the room in any way, being clean and tidy with the usual comforts, the way all 4 star hotels should be. Staff very friendly and helpful at reception.

Have stayed here many times and never had any real problems, however I did notice this time that there are far too many breakfast items put out at one time, consequently some of it becomes a little dried out during the last hour of breakfast (especially the bacon, black pudding, and eggs. Having said that, the breakfast, choice, and quantity of everything is still very good. A few other plus points are the speed of the lifts (compared to some others), and the relaxing feel of the lobby, with plenty of sofa chairs to chill out with a coffee and people watch! Still MUCH preferred the old bar, before it became Bellini's.

I have stayed in the Burlington Hotel on many occasions and have always found it to be very satisfactory. On this occasion there was a constant loud noise from the bathroom vent and which could not be turned off. This made sleep extremely difficult. It was room 607. I completed a customer rating card for the hotel and left it at reception. Otherwise everything was to my satisfaction. On my last occasion using the hotel the t.v. in the room wasnt working.

Check in was satisfactory. Hotel nice and bar staff friendly. Fire at hotel which was no fault of the staff but on check out there was no apology and no compensation. I feel the least the hotel could have done was apologise as we were left in the car park during the early hours of 31st Aug for a few hours..and perhaps offer a discount voucher or free stay...Is this a 4 star hotel???

The rooms were excellent and of a very high standard, especially given the price paid. Hotel was ideally located for our requirements and facilities in the hotel were also very good. Compliementary parking was an added bonus. The only issue was rooms were not ready when we tried to check in at 2pm even though 2 O'Clock check in had been confirmed by phone in advance. Overall a very enjoyable experience and have recommended your site to others.

I found this hotel to be great value at less than €90 on a bank holiday Sunday for a double room with breakfast and overnight parking. As we were heading to Croke Park, we arrived at 11AM and called to reception to inform them that we would check in later and that we had parked the car. They offered to check us in there and then, and had a room ready within 10mins. The room was very clean and fresh, with flat screen TV, proper double bed and a good selection of toiletries. Although it wasn’t an issue for me, it did not have air conditioning facilities. The hotel is located in within walking distance of the city centre, and we had no issues with walking back late at night. The breakfast was a self service buffet and ran until 10:30, there was a good selection of food, but there was a bit f a wait for the self toaster. Overall we found the staff to be very plesant and helpful. Having stayed in some of Dublin's other landmark hotels, I would consider this one to be top of the pile and would definitely stay again.

My sister booked a room for the same night. She got a room on a different floor- it was lovely and modern with a safe and a mini fridge, more spacious and comfortable seating. We got put in a room on the fifth floor that was older with none of the above and a disabled bathroom. I don' know why. Therefore we didn't have a bath, which I was looking forward to. Doesn't seem fair

Although, for some reason our mini bar wasn't stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful. There was a bit of confusion with our booking to begin with, but it was sorted quickly with no major inconvenience. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone. We enjoyed our two night break in the heart of Dublin. Hotel was bright, clean and spacious. Reception staff very quick, courteous and polite as were all staff we encountered. The banqueting hall and reception area were well laid out. There was a good choice of food in the hotel, however the one fault was that food was cold reaching the table. We attended a function in the hotel on one of the nights and again the food did not reach the standards of all other areas of the hotel. I would certainly use the hotel again as it is central and within walking distance of all city centre attractions. However I may be enclined to dine elsewhere.

Although I stay in Dublin Quite a lot I had never stayed at the Burlington. I honestly expected it to be better. My instant thought on driving in was average and my room on floor two was nice but i needed more lighting in room or bathroom to do make up so had to retreat to main bathroom.... This normally wouldnt be a major issue but it was a big event. I stayed the folowing night via.roomex at the best rate ever even though I had combed the internet. I did ask to change the room on the following nite as there was a generator going all nite on floor two so was moved to four floor. So overall I would recommend the burlington

This was a most enjoyable few days as the hotel itself was satisfactory in every respect but the staff really made it for us. From the reception staff ,I did not get names, who were most efficient and courteous and gave the impression that everything was under control all the time and nothing was any problem. The men at concierge always had a smile for everybody and one really felt welcome on entering. I would particularly comment on the dining room staff who were most helpful and friendly and seemed to enjoy "going the extra yard" to make our stay that bit nicer. I would pay particular tribute to Nuala and Tom in the dining room who were very good to us. Wishing them the very best,

The Burlington is one of those hotels where you can sit and watch the world go by. It is a large cosmopolitan hotel that is always bustling with activity in a low key sort of way. I have stayed there on and off going back many years and I was a bit apprehensive this time that it might have changed for the worst as I know it has had a change of ownership in recent years. Not at all, it was even better than ever. The rooms and public areas were very well maintained and the service was excellent. Above all the Burlington has the unique atmosphere of a long established Dublin hotel. I managed to book bed and breakfast for a very reasonable price through Roomex. I would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Breakfast was included in our overnight rate. We ordered it to our room the night before. It was supposed to arrive at 10.30. At 11.10 it sill hadn't arrived, we rang reception and were told that it was very busy and we would have to wait, it could take 15 mins or half an hour. We were alarmed at the attitude of the receptionist. Breakfast didn't arrive. We mentioned it when we were checking out, both receptionists we spoke to at that stage were very apologetic. We weren't happy as breakfast was included in our rate but we didn't receive it. We never experienced this in any other hotel.

The front Lobby of the hotel deserves the 4 stars that this hotel has but I'm afraid once you go up the lifts to the rooms you leave those stars behind. The concierge was very friendly and helpful, the rest of the staff could learn a few things from him.We were located on the second floor, the room was basic and in need of refurbishment. The heating was on up full so we guessed if we turned the knob on the radiator the opposite direction then it would turn off, which it finally did. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the carpet was thread bare in places. But it was clean other than that, there's only so much the cleaners can do with these old rooms! The beds were clean and comfortable. That night when we tried to go to sleep we heard, Thump Thump Thump of the music below us. I rang reception and was informed that the music stopped around 2am, this turned out to be closer to 4am. He checked the system but the only rooms left were in the same area we were already in but he said he would pass on the information to his manager in the morning. I never heard back from the manager the next day. Our neighbours were obviously at the function and nearly came through the paper thin walls into our room, I would not have felt safe if staying there alone. Security was called to another room on our corridor as well. I got up early to take a shower after no sleep and the water was brown! Seemingly the water was cut off overnight for conservation but nobody was informed and reception staff were less than helpful. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the coffee! Back to the rooms and had a quick, shower just before checkout but the water was still slightly brown and prone to turning scalding hot at times. Overall I would not recommend this hotel unless you are guaranteed a new room away from all function rooms and nightclubs!

We spent a weekend in Dublin for our wedding anniversary and had a very pleasant stay in the Burlington Hotel. The staff were very friendly and even upgraded us to an executive rooom for our anniversary. We had some very good food in the very stylish bar with breakfast on both mornings very fulfilling with a wide selection to choose from including the traditional fry, cereal, meat and cheeses and a fine selection of breads and preserves. The room was very clean with temperature controls allowing to regulate the heat in the room. Bathroom was very clean and if I had to pick one thing out I'd say that two single beds stuck together does not make a double bed!!! a large crack down the middle of the beds also develops over night which is not the best for creating an atmosphere on an aniversary weekend!!!. There is a very nice 10-15 minute walk to the top of Grafton Street through St.Stephen's Green or a short taxi drive down to O'cnnel street. In general we had a very enjoyable stay in the Burlington and would definitely return again.

To whom it concerns, I must admit that my experience over my 3 night stay was fantastic and i believe the value was outstanding, environment was great as it's set up in a way to meet loads of interesting people. The food was also very good and as i spend a bit of time on the south side of Dublin i will be staying again in the near future and of course i will book through Roomex.

The Staff, food, and drink were lovely. The staff seemed to be all trained to a very high standard, making it impossible to pick an exceptional staff member. The room was adequate but the bathroom was shocking for a hotel in it's class! Tiles were falling off the wall and the grouting was mouldy and dirty looking. The carpets and walls in the corridors on the 2nd floor were tatty!

We travelled to Dublin for the Ireland rugby international and there is only one place to stay and thats the Burlington. I stayed there about 10 years ago and as soon as i walked into the lobby the memories came flooding back. So did the tears of my wife but thats another story. The Hotel itself is fantastic. From the roaring fire in the Lobby, Bellini's Bar, the great rooms and the fry the next morning. Everything you could ask for and then some. Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Craic !

It was very easy to hear people in adjoining rooms, particularly when it was a group of teenage girls on one side and a couple arguing very loudly at 1:30am. I was not very happy as I was in Dublin to do the marathon the following morning so 5 hours sleep was not ideal. However after 2 nights of this these people checked out and subsequent nights were generally quieter. The bathroom ceiling and grouting around the bath were very mouldy and could do with some repair. The room was generally comfortable and well cleaned. Breakfast was fantastic.

We had a really enjoyable stay in the Burlington Hotel. The staff were very pleasent and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and very spacious with a nice view of the Dublin mountains. We had some food at the Bellini bar which was very nice but a little expensive . After a good nights sleep we had a delicious breakfast which was freshly made and there were no queues or delays in recieving it. Overall I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good quality hotel in a central location in Dublin. Well done the Burlington Hotel !

A super deal from Roomex- almost 100 euro less than the hotel's own rate. Great breakfast - the muesli and yogurt was Swiss in it's flavour, the pastry true Danish and the bacon, sausage and egg was the full Irish. We got plenty of exercise as our room was no 701 and only room 700 was further away from reception. But I'd go back at this price so keep up the bargains.

The exterior and lobby, public areas were very pleasant for this 4 star hotel. However, the rooms themselves we found very disappointing. Having booked a double room here, I called and asked if they could give us a nice room as it was a special occasion. The man I spoke with said he would see if he could upgrade us to a small suite. Arriving at the hotel, the room we were given was fairly small and very average with a view of a big grey dull carpark! When I asked about it, I was told to them (meaning the hotel) a nice room means on a higher floor! We were booked for two nights, so I asked for a different room for the second night. We were moved to a slightly bigger room with a view to the main street which was fine. The net curtains however had a big rip through them, from the top down to the center and looked very shabby- The towels in both rooms were worn to a thread, one actually had a hole in it. All in all, a very disappointing stay for a hotel which once had such a good reputation.

We really enjoyed our stay in the burlington hotel. The 2 rooms were well equipped and spotless with all the essential requirements. The childrens room had three beds and they found it great that they did not have to share a bed with each other. we had not planned eating there in the evenings but we found the bar food to be more than adequate with lots of choice,(even for our 18 year old vegetarian daughter). I would not hesitate to book with Roomex.com again because it is the way to go! We enjoyed our stay in the Burlington and would definitely opt to stay there again ahead of many other hotels in the city. It's a very relaxed, comfortable and convenient base for many activities in Dublin. The accomodation was first-class and the meals were excellent. The only small quibble we would have concerns the service in the bar area, which we found to be quite slow. It's a beautiful big bar,but we felt that the people serving were not aware and alert to customer needs even when the bar was not that busy. Otherwise we had a great time and will be back again.

This hotel I'd say was the worst hotel all year I have stayed in through Europe and including Egypt ! I think the staff are catering for groups and forget their own individual customers . The attitute at reception was very bad and the room bathroom was grubby to say the least with corners of bottom door missing ! I had just returned the night before from a wonderful hotel in Athlone and the smiles on all the staff when greeting you was infectious where on the other hand the staff at Burlington treated you as if you had an infection ! ! I have stayed in Dublin many times but I will never stay hare again this was a treat for my teenage daughter and she even commented on how bad things were. The staff need to remember that the Irish guests are justs as important as the groups from other countries !

By booking through Roomex I felt I obtained good value for money. This was an overnight stay for a business trip- the room was a decent size and comfortable, although the decor had seen better days. It was quite a walk to the lifts but then it is quite a large hotel. Breakfast which was included was excellent with a decent choice. My only concern really was the lack of car parking spaces and I had to wait for someone to leave to be successful. I would think that residents should be catered for first. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel and in particular its location- recommended, especially if you can obtain a decent price! Will be here again.

I stayed in this hotel on the 17th of April 2010 after attending a ball in the hotel. The hotel room was clean with twin beds as requested. The hotel was fully booked due to teh function / concerts in Dublin and stranded tourist due to airport closures and yet there was no queue for reception as there was plenty of staff working. Two quick critism - there was a charge of €4.50 for a ice bucket - this seemed very expensive. Secondly some of the rooms are a long walk from the reception / lifts so for anyone staying that this might cause a problem for I suggest ringing in advance to ensure you are near the lifts. Hotel is very central, has a large bar. Well situated for concerts in Aviva/RDS/O2. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to a friend.

After few drinks it was time to retire to our rooms where a comfotable bed awaited. Breakfast next morning was very good. Reception was really busy due to International rugby match the day before but check out was quick and easy due to staff being very efficient. The reception area and bar are extremely modern and very pleasant, however the drink prices are extremely over-priced in the bar compared to recent price drops in Dublin City Centre pubs , but maybe given the location of the hotel this is to be expected but I cannot see these prices doing the hotel any favours. The room we had was quite old but spotless and had an excellent shower. The 10-12 year old TV does nothing for the room which could do with being modernised. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very good. We arrived at 15.45 and our room still was'nt ready for check-in but this mas only a very minor issue. Overall I would be very satisfied, but if I had of paid the 5 star rates quoted on the door of the bedroom I would be far from satisfied with such an old fashioned room and late check in.

Appalling. Absolutely dreadful. I was put in a room next to 'guests' who were at their Christmas party in the Burlington. I was kept awake from 2 to 4 with shouting and fighting. I went to reception at 4 to say I was calling the police. I am a Company Director staying on business. I got no sleep at all as even when the noise subsided somewhat I could not get back to sleep. I was never asked if I was attending a function yet I was put in a room next to party revellers on all sides and across from me. No one apologised or evev asked about my stay the next stay. Please pass my comments on to the Burlington. Im disgusted. This hotel has gone downhill rapidly in my estimation.

The Burlington is a nice hotel in many ways but some of the rooms are dated including the one we stayed in. The walls between the rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything. The problem appears to be the doors that sit in between the rooms. They are sealed closed, but it makes no difference. Also the shower in the bathroom was pretty annoying. There was plenty of power in it, but if you were taller than 5ft then you had to stoop down to get underneath it. The reception and the bar are very modern and nice places to be and there is an old world charm about the restaurant where we had our breakfast in the morning. Breakfast as it happens was a buffet and was pretty good. Thought it was a little strange that fried eggs had to be ordered as they are normally the most requested type of egg. They had poached and scrambled on the buffet. Access to the city centre from the hotel is perfect and you can be on Stephens Green within 15 mins walking. If they updated some of the rooms this would be a fabulous place to stay.

We stayed there recently for a function and extended our stay by one night. The room was excellent, if a little far away, but in such a large hotel somebody has to be far away from the elevator. We were dissappointed to return to our room late one evening to find housekeepong staff had not even closed our door not to mind locking it. I was simply pulled out but off the latch. On speaking about it to other family members I was told it was a common occurance around the world, this is shocking and hotels must improve on their security if they are to stay in business.
