4 out of 5This hotel suits our needs every time. The last time our room was not very comfortable; it had only twin beds (we are a married couple) and the bathtub leaked, but since we really only stayed there for about 5 hours to sleep before a long drive after a flight, it was not overly inconvenient. The hotel is a bit like a labyrinth; make sure you don't need to go back to your car once you've found your room! And the wireless only works in the lobby (as of late 2010). However, the convenience of parking and sleeping right on the hotel grounds before/after a flight will keep us coming back again and again.

4 out of 5Very convenient to get to f rom m50. Great Shuttle service and carparking service and good quick food in the bar. Most of all excellent rate from Roomex !!

2 out of 5Firstly the room key didn't work and we had to twice go back to main reception for a new one. Then when we got into the room it turned out to be a smoking room when we had asked for a non-smoking room. The beds were hard and unyielding, the air conditioning didn't work, the bathroom was cramped and very dark, there were lightbulbs missing and the carpet had cigarette burns in it. There was no telephone in the room and the t.v. remote control had no batteries in it. The fridge in the room didn't appear to work and overall the atmosphere was uncomfortable and shabby. The restaurant food was over-spiced and had an extremely limited menu. Unfortunately we had booked for two nights but we will never go back.

1 out of 5I am a regular guest at the Clarion, not that the staff would know. I got the further room from reception, yet I had four bags and a set of stairs to tackle. The heating was off, it took over an hour for the room to warm up. The sheets were too small for the bed. I didn't receive a keycard as the keycard system was broken. I had to validate my car park ticket twice, crazy system. Unhelpful staff. An unpleasant experience.

3 out of 5Rooms fine, beds comfortable. Bar a complete rip-off, although the Guinness was good so we didnt mind paying a bit extra we were shocked at €6.50 for a very basic sandwich.

4 out of 5I chose this hotel entirely for its location: on the airport site. The room was comfortable and well-furnished. The courtesy bus is hardly worth taking, because it takes a mere minute, but then drops you somewhere wet and windy between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, which is all but pointless. You could almost walk there as quickly. Briefly: hotel toom fine; courtest bus: useless.

4 out of 5Staff very helpful. Overall very convenient & reasonable. Thank you & will stay again,

4 out of 5We just needed to spend a night at the airport after a late flight and this did the job perfectly. Quick check-in, good beds, tea making facilities in the room. We did not take breakfast but this was available as an extra if needed as was a packed breakfast take-away which can be ordered by leaving a list outside your room door during the night. This is my 2nd time staying there and I would do so again. The only negative was the apparent lack of an elevator to the lowest floor.

2 out of 5I arrived with my two daughters for an overnight on Tuesday 3rd January in Room 170, prior to a very early departure to the USA on 4th. The room was cold so we turned the temp control to maximum. We went to the restaurant to eat, but were told it was closed and only bar food was available, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the waitress serving our table was most helpful, as one of my daughters is coeliac and she double-checked that her dish was suitable for my daughter. On returning to our room we found that it was still below a comfortable warmth level. We tried to turn on radiator but there was no improvement. My daughter decided to have her shower before going to bed and reported that it was about the level of a garden hose, and certainly not hot enough. The room remained below a comfortable heat level for the night. The following morning my other daughter showered and was equally unimpressed. She then tried to dry her hair with the dryer provided, but it kept cutting out! We dropped my travelling daughter to her flight (paying €3 for the privilege) and went to the restaurant for breakfast on our return. The breakfast was satisfactory, and indeed the staff was most helpful in providing my coeliac daughter with the correct bread. So no complaint there. Overall, our experience was very much below standard, which was disappointing, as the hotel is perfectly located for an overnight stay, as we must travel from Cork. I did hand in a questionnaire at Reception on departure.

2 out of 5The section of the hotel in which we stayed was below ground, which may somehow account for the moldy smell in our room. The heater barely functioned and our comforters were thin, so we were all cold given it was early January. The toilet seemed on its last legs, barely able to flush. The shower head sprayed water so that the floor got very wet. We wouldn't stay there again, although the proximity to the airport is convenient for caching a flight out. The van to the airport is not complimentary but costs a euro per person.

4 out of 5I stay at the Clarion anytime I have to catch an early flight out of Dublin. I have always found it to be very satisfactory. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very suitable for overnight stays. As my flight was very early I did not have the pleasure of enjoying a hearty breakfast in the restaurant, and to meeting and greeting staff there whom I have known since as far back as 1994. I shall be staying there again - very soon - I hope.

3 out of 5It was good. the food was good. the room was good. Nothing is perfect ever.

4 out of 5Hotel is very convienent for the airport as we had an early morning flight. Good buzz in lounge with live music. Room and bathroom clean and comfartable. would stay again.
0.3
3 out of 5Our room was fine, but very small. The restaurant was closed because it was a bank holiday so we ate in the lounge, which was fine. I paid for dinner by credit card and did not notice until it was too late that the waiter converted the bill to dollars. This gave me a much higher bill as the dollar rate charged was $1.35, when the actual dollar rate was $1.30 on that date. Was not happy about this. I will be more careful in the future and make sure that the bill stays in euros. Normally people ask if you want to pay in dollars or euros.

3 out of 5Within walking distance from terminal 2, A fabulous lobby area, very helpful staff,check-in was hassle free. Was delighted to avail of a smoking or non smoking room. Room was clean, but bathroom although clean was out-dated...bath/shower head. And the shuttle service was available every 30 mins, which leaves on-time. Would stay again

3 out of 5As always, we found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly and the hotel itself is very well situated with good and reasonable parking. However, we did find on both recent (wintry) stays that our room was quite chilly and the heat control did not seem to help much. Also, the food variety is very limited and we went across to the bar at the Radisson to eat(much better variety etc).As 15 euro is not exactly cheap for breakfast, the food might be prepared closer to consumption; both the eggs and the bacon slices were there ages! Not good enough when coming back from Szeged where 2 coffees and 2 cream cakes cost us less than 760Ft ( roughly 2.60 euro).

3 out of 5Good points: shuttle bus to airport terminal. Restaurant food very nice indeed. My girlfriend has a nut allergy so the staff were very good at asking the chef if this or that contained nuts. Both of us ate well and enjoyed the experience. There was no plane noise I noticed, and that surprised me. Bad points: The Room looked as if it would need a makeover as desks were worn looking. Overall the hotel was pretty cold, though our room was warm. The building looks dated. I didn't like paying for parking, even at a reduced rate. As a guest in a hotel I should not have to pay for parking.

4 out of 5I have stayed in this airport hotel on several occasions prior to catching an early-morning flight. For this purpose it is ideal, being within a few minutes by hotel mini-bus from the terminals. At the same time it is quiet and the rooms, while quite simple, are comfortable. Sooner or later, however, a bit of redecoration will be necessary, especially the carpeting could do with being refreshed or replaced. Every room I have stayed in has had an adequate bathroom, albeit small, but with a splendid shower - great when you have to get up in the middle of the night to face a long day's travelling. In my experience the staff, from reception desk to lobby bar to restaurant, have been unfailingly pleasant, courteous and helpful. I shall certainly be staying here again.

5 out of 5We use this hotel each time we fly out of Dublin Airport. Living right on the North coast spending the night at the Clarion helps take the hassle out of travelling. Staff are welcoming and rooms are very comfortable. As yet we have not been disappointed. Thank you, Clarion!

4 out of 5Priced properly. Comfortable. Friendly.

4 out of 5Stayed overnight at this hotel before early flight to Rome the following morning. This was our second stay at this hotel as we find it to be first class. The location is excellent within the airport grounds. It is only a stroll to terminal 2. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We had a beautiful meal at Kudos and enjoyed a nightcap at the comfortable bar. Our room was comfortable and clean and we will definately be staying there again.

4 out of 5Clarion hotel is a very good hotel, ideal base if catching an early morning flight from Dublin Airpoer. Staff are friendly, restaurant and bar menus are interesting and the food was good. Bedrooms comfortable. Ideal location when using Dublin Airport, within 5 minutes walk of the terminals and the courtesy buss is punctual.

4 out of 5Clarion airport hotel is convenient for early morning flights. i usr it a few times a year staff very efficient and the rooms are comfoetable and clean.

3 out of 5Very convenient for airport. Think the 1 euro for the shuttle to be annoying
0.3
4 out of 5Hotel is well priced, in an excellent location, with a very efficient shuttle service to the airport. Restaurant meals are excellent, the bar has a good atmosphere, with very friendly bar staff.Rooms are in very good condition with excellent amenities. No lift access to downstairs rooms at back.Rooms are excellent,as is the evening meal in dining room.

3 out of 5We stayed here briefly while getting early morning flight so our stay was very limited. Reviews i had read were all very negative so i didnt even expect to sleep as i was on the lookout for every fault. We paid €49 for a room special and i have no faults to find. If this is rated as a four star i wouldnt rate it as it is definitely a 3star quality. The rooms are basic, clean and bright. Reception area was inviting and many people were eating here and it looked ok. Next morning everyone seemed to be exiting rooms at 6am just like us - obviously used for early morning flights which is perfectly located right close to the terminals.

4 out of 5When I leave the Country, and fly from Dublin Airport and my flight is early leaving or i cannot get connecting transport home I like to stay at the Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport,As it is very convienant for me,the staff there are very courtious and professioal the rooms are clean and relaxing, and the Hotel is verynice and friendly This is my view of Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport, And I will stay again when I travel in the new year.Thank You

2 out of 5The reception was lovely - fast check in,and friendly staff. i walked to terminal 2,as it was less than 5 mins walk away. they charge 1 euro each way for a shuttle bus. really, there was no need to take a bus-the airport and hotel are very close, and as the hotel is on the airport complex, the walk to the airport terminal was safe, on a good footpath, and had several pedestrian crossings. but, parking was 7 euro a night, which i found expensive. the room wasnt great - not for a 4 star hotel. i would class this hotel as a 3 star maxiumum. better quality 4 star hotels nearby for same if not a better price. I wouldnt stay here again, unless it was a gift voucher or a competition prize, simply because it is not the quality a 4 star hotel should be.
0.3
4 out of 5Conveniently located and easily accessible
0.3
3 out of 5Room was clean.smell of smoking on the corridoor was unpleasant. Breakfast had poor choice, contential breakfast was not available. tea, cereal &toast cost 9 euro.this was not value for money. Location was good for the venue we were attending
0.3
3 out of 5The Clarion was satisfactory but their hotel parking charge should be included as long as one was staying there overnight. Customers parking their cars for a few nights should be given the Internet rate of €5.50 – the same as the other airport parking companies (via the Internet). Otherwise no complaints.
0.3
2 out of 5I was very disappointed that a dble room was not available - a twin was offered on reception level floor, then they told me they had a dble and single bedded room downstairs, we took this, but alas three single beds, TV remote was not working so reported that, eventually duty manager came and was then able to offer me a dble on upper floor which I assume was an exec room or similar?? howeve, by this time, we had unpacked and ready for bed for very early morning flight. it was a first time that the Clarion were not as efficient as they could have been and i was not impressed. usually very pleased with Clarion but not on this occasion. thank you.
0.3
4 out of 5The hotel itself was very nice, but we had a long wait for the shuttle bus. This is a free transfer from the airport but there is a charge to return to the airport and a ticket must be bought from a machine in the lobby. I was not expecting this.
0.3
3 out of 5nice and clean but bad beds. Very small and couch bed was poor for children. Staff lovley and food was gorgeous..

3 out of 5Food great. Beds desperate. Nearly fell out on ground because of size...

4 out of 5My stay at the Clarion was as usual extremely satisfying ,the staff corteous and efficient. My evening meal was a very delicious Thai curry served hot by a cheerful waitress. The bed room and particularly the bathroom were spotlessly clean. My stays at this hotel have always been excellent when I travel from Dublin Airport to U.S.A.and is only minutes via the cortesy bus from Terminal 2. I will continue to use this venue
0.3
4 out of 5Had an overnight stay has we had an early morning flight, so booked room only, room was adequate for price we paid, carpets where stained in places. We had our meal in the lounge bar, food was excellent my only complaint was the lack of heat while sitting in lounge /bar area, it was October so extra heat would have been nice.
0.3
3 out of 5The hotel was very busy, it took a long time to check in ,at least 20 mins. there was a total of ten people in the line, but only two receptionists, I got a smoking room but as reception was so chaotic I just opened the windows and stayed there. As their computer system crashed, a friend of mine had another guest enter his room when he was asleep. The courtesy bus we now have to pay one euro for to the airport, however it was on time, the rooms were clean and quiet but they only have laundry lifts to get your luggage up the stairs, and these can only be operated by a staff member.Otherwise it is a convenient location to the airport. The early morning staff were very helpful.
0.3
2 out of 5there are so many hidden charges at the Clarion. They give you a great deal on the room, then charge you €7.00 for your car, and €1.00 to take the shuttle to the airport. The shower drain was all blocked up. Was wading in at least 8 inches of water by the time I finished my shower. The staff were very nice and helpful, but overall I have had much nicer rooms and better value at other airport hotels.

5 out of 5I really enjoyed in this hotel, the staff are very friendly

3 out of 5I have stayed in the Clarion many, many times and always found it to be excellent. However, this time I was disappointed at one aspect of the hotel. We arrived around 4.00 pm . We had travelled from Shanon and wanted something to eat. The restaurant does not open un til 6 pm, but in the past that was not a problem, as the bar food was excellent. However, on this occasion they had very little to offer. Needless to say we decided to wait for the restaurant to open. We went there at around 6.30 pm. only to find a very limited menu, where we had to pay for two courses - regardless of whether we wanted it or not. The menu was similar to the "once upon a time" bar menu, but at restaurant peices. Otherwise everything was fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable; check-in staff were , as usual efficient and friendly. On this basis, I shall return again - however my friend does not intend to stay there again

4 out of 5WE really enjoyed our stay. This is the third time we stayed in the Clarion, and each time the staff were lovely, and the rooms warm and cosy. It is the nearest hotel to the airport so very handy. Great value in the room only service.
0.3
4 out of 5wonderful service for me as I live 2hours drive from Dublin Airport. So when I have to go to the Airport on early morning flights which is what I prefer when I am traveling this service by roomex and the clarion is just terific. The staff are so helpful and friendly it is like home from home hence my reason for booking the clarion. Thank you keep up the good work. Even when they are very busy they still are helpful and friendly that to me is the real test.

4 out of 5Just spent one night here in preparation for an early morning flight. From my pick-up at airport to shuttle back next morning I was very impressed by the courteous and professional approach of all staff. On arrival, I enjoyed a very pleasant light meal in the foyer-----an excellent place to "people watch" !! My room was brightly furnished, clean and very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending the Clarion to others especially at repeat Roomex customer rates----A Bargain !

4 out of 5Had an early morning flight so only stayed one night ,staff very friendly and room Clean and comfy. Very tasty bar food and regular shuttle to the airport departures area every half hour. Special room rate that includes eight day parking. Perfect for convience and value.
0.3
3 out of 5The hotel was satisfactory, but I would be reluctant to book in the future. I found that the fact of paying for the shuttle( though only 1E pp) was extraodinary in that we were informed we would not be dropped at Terminal 2!.
0.3
4 out of 5I had a very pleasant nights stay in a double room prior to an early morning flight. The room was very clean and quiet. Parking was also available and shuttle bus so it made it very easy for the early morning start. Free WIFI was also in the room. I would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling abroad for busisness using Dublin Airport.
0.3
3 out of 5Difficult to give an overall view as we were there only one night. Checking in was quick with minimal fuss and the memebr of staff concerned was polite and eager to help. The room was clean, tidy and presentable, although it felt like walking through a labyrinth to get there. Good to see that the bar was still open late at night to have that fianl relaxation beofre going to bed.
0.3
5 out of 5We arrived tired from Italy and were delighted to be picked up at the airport by your shuttle bus and also to enjoy a few quiet and relaxing drinks before going to rest. The room was very comfortable with all the needed facilities. We would definately stay there again and also recommend it to others.

4 out of 5On a good day this hotel is close enough to T2 to walk within 10 minutes. Excellent staff, rooms are comfortable, overall the hotel of choice for early departures.
0.3
4 out of 5I stayed here one night to catch a flight out of DUB. The hotel is very close and has a convenient shuttle to the airport. The room was nice and clean, with comfortable beds. I didn't use any other services, but would recommend this hotel.

4 out of 5Well managed very friendly & competitive.
0.3
4 out of 5The reception staff were really friendly. I arrived very late, no issue with late check in and no problem getting a late drink from the bar. I have stayed a few times at the Clarion and They are trying hard to modernise the hotel. The staff on for breakfast were brilliant and very efficient. Parking was ideal for terminal 2 and at €7 for the day was good.
0.3
3 out of 5Average describes my stay I find having to pay to park your car for the night of your stay unfair. I understand paying if you are flying off somewhere and leaving it at the hotel Rooms are ok. No snacks available in room or in the hotel Also extraction fan in bathroom not working properly if at all. Staff very friendly, helpful and well mannered. I normally stay at the Clarion but will have second thoughts for my next trip in October
0.3
4 out of 5I always enjoy my stays at the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel. Staff always friendly and helpful, and hotel housekeeping standard is high. Hope to return there again soon.
0.3
4 out of 5I enjoyed my stay at the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel. It is so very nice to see the same staff again and to be welcomed back again. The room is well appointed and clean. I shall be reurning there again in the very near future, and will be accompanied by a friend. Hope she enjoys it.

4 out of 5The Clarion hotel is an ideal location for passangers using Terminal 2. It is only a five minute walk. There is also a hotel shuttle available for €1. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and professional. The bedroom was very comfortable. There was computer access. Our only crib was that the fridge was filtly.

4 out of 5Stayed at Clarion overnight while flying realy next morning. Everything was fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff pleasant and helpful.
0.3
4 out of 5Great location, literally 10 mins walk from Terminal two. I stay here all the time and find it to be a nice clean comfortable quiet hotel. Staff are always helpful. Don't normally have time to eat as I regularily catch the red eye flight ex Dublin, but there is a nice buzz in the lobby and the bar and restaurant. It has a much better atmosphere than most airport hotels I've stayed in.
0.3
4 out of 5The hotels is a great location for the airport. We had something to eat in the bar and I have to say it was beautiful. However the rooms wouldn't be to the same standard as other Clarion hotels, also I thought it was a bit cheeky having to pay €1 for a bus transfer to the airport when you are paying for parking.
0.3
3 out of 5Everything was fine, apart from the fact that the heating in the room didn't work.
0.3
3 out of 5The bedrooms are very small and quite dated

4 out of 5My stay at the Clarion was very comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful and the hotel's location for the airport is just perfect. Thank you.

5 out of 5We enjoyed our stay very much. Yhe staff were very professional, friendly and helpful and all without exception exhibited a great sense of humour. The restaurant was excellent in both choice and quality of food as well as the service.
0.3
3 out of 5It's a little more than a slingshot from the terminal building - but the shuttle is just outside the door! Restaurant staff were very pleasant and breakfast at €12.50 per person very reasonable. The room was a good distance from reception and no lift for those travelling with weighty luggage. The room itself was clean as expected basic, and for the room only rate we paid more than adequate. It was however very noisy and for a light sleeper maybe not the best - I slept very well oblivious to the noise. Unfortunately not all the guests in our room had the benefit of a peaceful forty winks!! I would stay again but would request a room nearer reception and be advised that the light bites on the bar menu are just that!!
0.3
4 out of 5We arrived at 12.55pm so our stay was short. We were collected at Dublin Airport Clarion Bus,the driver was very helpful with our luggage. The guy at recption was also very nice and made us welcome and had our luggage taken to our room.the bedroom was very clean and comfortable.Next morning we had a very good breakfast with plenty to eat.Our luggage was taken down to foyer,we checked out and hotel bus left us back out to airport to catch bus to train station. We had a very enjoyable stay and would return again. Only fault was no Lift and as pensioners we found the stairs tough at the late hour

4 out of 5Efficient, clean, excellent shuttle service to airport building.
0.3
3 out of 5Good hotel- great staff very friendly & prompt. Be aware there is no lift available to guests- we were asked would we like someone to help us with our bags but declined without realising we had to climb stairs! The hotel bar food & drinks are extremly over priced. Breakfast was delicious & served at 6am. Rooms comfortable & clean.
0.3
2 out of 5we arrived there at 9.30. we went to the room. everything tidy and clean. went to the bar for a night cap. staff very friendly and helpful. went to bed. at about 4 o'clock we were awaken by some continually over and back. assume it was someone over head us or it could have been next door. only conclusion walls must be paper thin not to be expected from a 4 star hotel. this disturbance lasted for 3 hours until we got up ourselves. also kids could be heard talking and playing on the way to their rooms.
0.3
4 out of 5clean, comfortable hotel. friendly staff. good food. handy for early morning flights. bedrooms very warm. pity no lift to lower floor especially if you have heavy luggage
0.3
3 out of 5The hotel is being renovated and the finished areas are very pleasant. It is THE hotel for those who want to be within walking distance from the airport. Good breakfast, clean room, and friendly staff.

3 out of 5Very nearly at the airport. Not very quiet (you can hear the neighbour, but not the outdoor). Bedroom with great comfort. Staff had not given the right information about breakfast, but try is best to delivery soon in the morning.

4 out of 5This hotel was a delight to stay in. We stayed here the night before flying off on holidays to greece. It was really convinien as it was the closet hotel to our terminal, and with the free shuttle service to the terminal we had no worries. Staff were extremely polite and helpful, food was lovely. Overall very relaxing stay would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing day/evening before flying out or returning from a journey. Will be booking with this hotel again in the future.

4 out of 5nice room, staff very friedly and helpful

5 out of 5we had a very short stay at your hotel as we had an early flight. it is a beautiful place the staff were so polite and friendly and were ever so helpful. i would most definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to strongly recommend it to my friends and family.

4 out of 5service in the Clarion Dublin Airport is superb. The staff are brilliant...especially staff at check in desk...special word of thanks to Mindaugas....so mannerly and so polite, and most eager to please. One little problem, and this is certainly no reflection on staff, but I feel that all bedrooms should be designated "non smoking" in this day & age. I think most people would understand this policy, and I do not think it fair to expect staff to have to clean out smoking rooms Breeda from Tipperary
0.3
5 out of 5Ideal relaxing stay before my flight. Room was immaculate and service was of teh highest standard. Thai red curry was brilliant. Then I could just walk to the terminal in the morning.
0.3
5 out of 5really pleased...the staff were so obliging and helpful....especially the guy who checked me in...i meant to take note of his name to ask but unfortunately I forgot to. i hope to book clarion Dublin Airport again for this coming saturday night.

3 out of 5Only one comment - I needed a top sheet! I had to be hot or a bit cold all night. LIght on the long table wasn't working. Otherwise very satisfactory.
0.3
5 out of 5As always the hotel was brilliant! Comfortable rooms and right next to the airport! They even allowed us put our bikes in an empty room for safe keeping! Always stay here when flying from Dublin and they are always fantastic!

2 out of 5My wife had said to me this Hotel was fairly new. I myself thought it was built in the 1960's. Our first room was quite small, but not too bad for the weekend. However, taking a shower the next morning with one hand because the main shower head wasn't working, so you had to use this shower hose to bath while the other hand you'd cleanse with. Poor plumbing no dought!! The next day we asked for another room with a shower that would work 21'st century style, and we got it. But while putting our food in its refridgerater,we had both noticed it has not been used for quite awhile. Not only did it not operate,it had collected mold and rust inside the unit and smelled when you opened the door!! You would think in a 4 Star Hotel they could atleast put a working fridge for its clientel?? The restaurant Manager was a surperb gentelman, and its staff. This is the ONLY good opinion I have to say about our stay. When in Dublin next time, I'll stay far away from the Clarion Hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
0.3
3 out of 5Having booked three rooms 7 months in advance, I was very disappointed to have been allocated rooms on what seemed like a basement floor. Rooms smelled musty and were dull and needed a facelift. However, staff were very courteous and helpful and the reception/restaurant area are very nice. I would not hesitate to stay here again, but would be cautious and request upper floor rooms in future.
0.3
1 out of 5We checked into The Clarion due to it's closeness to the airport and car parking in the hope of some sleep before an early flight. The bed and the pillows were awful, no support and very uncomfortable. I'll sacrifice convenience for comfort next trip and will never grace the door of this hotel again. A surly night manager didn't help with issues on car parking on our return. The terminal building would have been better!
0.3
5 out of 5Just arrived back from our stay at the Clarion Dublin Airport! We had booked a twin and double room and were given the option of smoking or non smoking when we arrived! The hotel is so easily accessible by car and by bus! It is literally the first hotel you see on entrance to Airport! If travelling by bus there is a shuttle bus too and from airport! They have ample carparking available at an overnight charge of 7.50 Euro. This is second time we have stayed here and went to a concert in Croke Park! Taxis range from 18 to 25 Euro into City! Bar food was really lovely and reasonably priced and the hotel even served food until 2am for returning from Concert! This is our second visit and would recommend to anyone - we will definately be back! Rooms well equipped with everything you need from a fridge to a tv.

3 out of 5Food was good the room was comfortable but the lack of an elevator when we had 3 cases was a big minus.
0.3
4 out of 5Our overnight stay was very satisfactory---the staff were efficient and courteous and the evening meal was reasonable value for money. I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.

4 out of 5I booked this hotel as it is ideally situated close to the new Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport and was very happy with our stay there.
0.3
3 out of 5As a stopover hotel this is handy but basic
0.3
5 out of 5Quick check in, comfortable room anf good food. Staff were most helpful and courtesy coach was excellent.
0.3
2 out of 5How on earth the Clarion hotel is classed as a 4 star hotel beggars belief. The reception and bar area are very nice, but the rooms are really tatty, the curtains were torn, I know we asked for a smoking room but the bedroom absolutely stank.

4 out of 5Stayed in Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel the night before we travelled abroad to Dubrovnik. Very comfortable. clean but shower not powerful. Very close to Terminal 2 walking distance. Car park very convenient and good value at €7 a day. Will definitely stay in this hotel again
0.3
3 out of 5Staff do their job but lack a customer friendly approach. Check-in slow and no lift access which makes luggage movement to bedrooms very difficult. Had to request help and initially staff too busy but cases did eventually reach the room. Customers should not have to feel that they are being done a favour - after all the problem is caused by the hotels lack of a customer lift. Courtesy Coach drivers dont seem to see them themselves as having any responsibility in assisting customers in loading or unloading luggage. Rooms clean and adequately equipped. Shower difficult to operate - due to stiffness/tightness of tap some customes might have to give up. Value for money? Yes but some minor improvements could greatly add to the the guest experience.

4 out of 5PITY WE HAD TO QUEUE FOR SHUTTLE BUS AT 5.30 IN THE MORNING AND HAD TO WAIT FOR 3RD BUS.
0.3
4 out of 5We had a lovely stay although I dont agree with the charge of a Shuttle Bus
0.3
4 out of 5Very convenient and have used this hotel several times. It is clean and simple. The restaurant and bar are great to have as an option. The shuttle was quick and efficient for getting a large crowd to their needed destinations early in the morning. We used the parking lot for 10 days as well and it was very reasonable. Great experience.
0.3
2 out of 5To be honest, absolutely no problems with the hotel, the room or layout, staff left a lot to be desired, however. In the evening no-one would give us change to organise the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport and ended up having to get change in the airport to pay the driver on the way back. Only reason we got on the bus was because of the driver, who said he understood the change issue .... breakfast in the morning was a complete and utter farce. The dining room was empty-ish but we were told to wait for a table, when we got a table, it was explained that this was a buffet situation .. no worries with this ... but when we informed the restaurant manager that there was no milk for cereal, this was not taken seriously and we had to wait 15 minutes for milk to be brought to the urn, whilst she proceeded to inform people that there were no tables, etc, etc. Then the orange juice had run out, didn't even bother to notify anyone on this. No white bread for toast. We had been asked if we wanted tea or coffee but actively had to chase someone to get some. The Day manager spent his whole time chatting to a customer at one table, the under manager did not seem to know what was going on, and the most efficient person in the dining room was the lady clearing the tables, who had a better ideea of what was required. If it had been one incident, we would have laughed, the accumulation of inefficiencies implied an overall disatisfaction, which left a bad taste.

3 out of 5Very good for one nights stay will stay again

4 out of 5the hotel was good. the staff was excellant. the location was great so near to the airport. my daughter got married the week before. the hotel was very clean and was enjoyable. n.b.and have recomemded the hotel to my freinds.
0.3
3 out of 5staying overnight for an early flight very professional check in. It really is so close you really dont need to catch bus to airport its that nearby. I stay at this airport quite often its not luxury but is clean, bit dated and tired but it is very good value for money.
0.3
2 out of 5Booking was confirmed on arrival. First booking ran without a hitch, however on second visit I was approached by staff in restaurant who advised me I had not paid for breakfast. This was despite me having written confirmation from Roomex that I had. Hotel had NO elevator!!!! Excrutiating for one with luggage. Arrived in from airport at 1.00am and after check-in and dragging suitcases to room, I went for a cold beer to find bar shut at 2.00am - No discussion would be entertained.
0.3
4 out of 5I cant imagine why it took me so long to book into a hotel the night before a long distance flight sometimes you just dont think of the obvious, the hotel was so convenient it reduced the stress of having to travel so very early. The staff were very friendly, the room very clean and had every facility that one would want. An additional bonus ( ground floor) was been able to look out the window in the morning to see some newly hatched ducklings wandering around the garden - priceless.
0.3
4 out of 5perfect, clean , comfortable airport hotel accommodation.
0.3
4 out of 5The price was reasonable for the convenience of the location right beside the airport. Much better to stay there and be fresh for the morning flight than to travel up really early! The only thing I was not 100% happy about was having to pay for the shuttle bus over to the airport. But the room was great adn clean and pretty much perfect.
0.3
5 out of 5Our room was very spacious. They already had a cot set up in the room for us, as we had requested one for our one year old. We arrived quite late and were flying out the following morning but the staff were fantastic. They rustled up some sandwiches for us even though the restaurant was closed for the evening. We'll definitely stay here again when we have an early flight.
0.3
5 out of 5We were taking a flight in the early morning,so the hotel was ideal. Staff were very pleasing and charming. Would definitly stay with you again. Thank you for looking after our car too,for the 10 days we were away.
0.3
4 out of 5great hotel and location
0.3
4 out of 5Always stay at the Clarion when going on an early flight. Always comfortable with tasty evening meals and an excellent breakfast.
0.3
3 out of 5I have to say that this time I was disappointed by the whole experience. I know there is a recession (who does not !!) but the room I stayed in was not as clean as I would have liked there was a strange smell (damp ??) and the staff were not as courteous as they usually are. Maybe they were having an off day !!I will have to think about staying there next time I travel which is a pity as it is very handy for the airport and I have always enjoyed my stay there in the past.
0.3
4 out of 5very nice and location for travel excellent

5 out of 5The hotel is excellent, Staff very helpful

4 out of 5Stayed at this hotel for one night as we had an early flight the following morning. The hotel was busy that night and we found it difficult to get parking. We were greeted at reception by a very pleasent girl. Our family room consisted of two double beds . It had a nice bathroom and ample soft towels were also supplied. We were happy with the room. We had a drink in the bar and thought the price of drink was very expensive. Breakfast, the following morning was very good. The staff were also very nice to our children. Overall a postive experience in this hotel, I do agree that the hotel has that "tired " look and the carpets could do with being replaced but it's fine for a one night stay. We also had to pay to get the courtsey bus to the airport--I really thing that we should not have to pay for this. Would I stay in this hotel again?--Yes I would.

3 out of 5Arrived at hotel late Sun night.. check in prompt and pleasant. Had bar food and staff were all excellent... food very average and grossly overpriced!! Triple room in lower ground floor... long dingy corridors with peeling paint and stained carpets..very grotty looking. Carpet in bar old and stained too! Room adequate though very small. Bathroom old with some cracked tiles. This hotel in my opinion does not deserve 4 stars. Bus to airport costs 1 euro... most other airport hotels provide this for free. Will definately not return to this hotel!
0.3
4 out of 5I am a repeat customer to the Clarion Hotel, Dublin Airport. I like this hotel for it's proximity to the airport and the prompt bus to the terminals. This is my second stay there. I don't get a chance to sample the breakfast, as my flights are always early morning. I would prefer to stay in a room closer to the reception area...my room was down a short flight of stairs and off a long corridor. All in all, it's been a hassle free stay both times.
0.3
4 out of 5Very friendly staff and a great location close to the Terminal
0.3
3 out of 5As always any stay in the Clarion hotel group was clean and friendly. The only comment I would have to say on the hotel was the lack of entertainment in the bar. We stayed for one night and went for a few drinks in the bar. There was no music and the tv was broken so we couldnt watch the golf masters in the bar. Staff were friendly and courtious and our wake up call was bang on time at 5 in the morning. I would recommend staying in this hotel if you had an early morning flight they just need a bit of entertainment in the bar.
0.3
4 out of 5Close to Airport, quiet comfortable and friendly staff, food was very nice, and courtesy bus available for very early flight.
0.3
4 out of 5Clean efficient Hotel in convenient location
0.3
4 out of 5We have stayed at the Clarion many times and we find it very pleasant and friendly. I have allergies and they accommodate me with the required bed clothes. It is so convenient for travel and with terminal 2 now open it is even closer and you can actually walk to the terminal if you only have hand luggage. Of course there is the shuttle bus that runs back and forth very promptly. We will be seeing you again very soon.
0.3
4 out of 5Enjoyed our stay. It was excellent value expecailly since we had kids with us. Rooms were lovely and very convenient to the airport.
0.3
4 out of 5Everything was as we expected!
0.3
4 out of 5Stayed overnight for an early morning flight. The Hotel room was comfortable but the carpet was covered with coffee stains. The staff friendly and helpful and shuttle bus very convenient, will stay again.
0.3
4 out of 5the hotel and staff were excellet except for checking in. This was very slow. The check in staff were very friendly and professional. but they were over worked. i noticed while sitting in the reception area that check in was slow for most people due it seems to me to understaffing.
0.3
4 out of 5room and bathroom was clean and tidy, bedlinen was very nice. bathroom could do with a facelift.
0.3
4 out of 5Nice hotel, location is key if getting an early flight, rooms well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities. Can park the car in the hotel car park and collect on return at a reasonable price, but you have to pay €2for shuttle bus to get to the airport which is not a lot but I feel this should be free as the collection upon return is free, but can be a delay in getting picked up upon return. Overall not bad.
0.3
4 out of 5Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and service was very good.
0.3
4 out of 5enjoyed our stay. We were getting a flight very early in the morning and found the bus service from hotel perfect. The room was spacious and very clean. We will definitly stay here again.

3 out of 5All that I needed for a quick business visit to Dublin
0.3
4 out of 5Very handy, nice and clean. Food was lovely and great location.
0.3
3 out of 5The room was small and was somewhat run down. There were cobwebs on the ceiling. We couldn't get the heat to work. There wasn't a hairdryer in the room. However, the bed was clean, comfortable and warm and the shower was fantastic! The people at the reception were pleasant and helpful.
0.3
3 out of 5We stayed for one night as our flight was late in. The hotel was very nice except for the smell of smoke along the corridor on way to our room. The room itself seemed to be smoke free, but I did not expect to have the smell of smoke in a non-smoking area. I did go back to reception and the receptionist said she would change our room if there was a smell of smoke in the actual room.
0.3
4 out of 5Quiet room with very comfortable beds. Welcoming reception staff. The restaurant serves excellent meals, and the staff there are fantastic - friendly, witty and interested in their customers- we always eat dinner there because it is always enjoyable.
0.3
4 out of 5Good hotel, very convenient to the airport. Excellent staff. The €1 charge for the airport transfer is new and not advertised on check in.
0.3
5 out of 5we only stayed one night but it made the start of our holiday verry special. Hotel was great. Food good and staff verry friendly and two min away from airport with shuttle bus made it stress free
0.3
4 out of 5front desk , check in staff were excellent but very few on the ground. bus one euro transfer is a joke and should be reversed , parking is great value , rooms are ok for the price , early morning call is done by automation but there is a follow up done by the night porter in checking the room , by knocking , excellent touch
0.3
5 out of 5Great location if catching a flight. Lovely clean rooms. Terminal 1 and 2 just a short walk away.
0.3
4 out of 5I found the staff in the hotel very welcoming and helpful. The room was cleaned and comfortable. i would highly recommend it
0.3
4 out of 5Very comfortable very friendly once again I was impressed by the efficiency of the staff

5 out of 5Enjoyed my stay here.
0.3
4 out of 5Clean room and friendly staff. The only good value option in the airport grounds.
0.3
3 out of 5The hotel itself was all lovely, staff more than helpful. Our triple bedroom on bottom floor next to fire exit, looking out at the Aer Lingus sign was absolutely freezing, the radiator was ice cold, it was so cold the bed linen felt wet. The hotel was full to capacity and it was only a 1 night stay for convenince to catch an early morning flight, so I didnt make any formal complaints. I did mention to staff at the reception.
0.3
4 out of 5Great hotel. Locations superb, very close to airport. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. The hotel was extremly busy and lots of guests needed to get away early in the morning to catch plains. Considering that Dublin Airport had been closed because of snow the day before we were due to fly we wanted to make sure we got an early start and got up to catch the couch service. Unfortunatly their was about 40 people with us at the same time and they only had a wee car to take 7 at a time. Everybody was extremly worried to make it in time as one journey took about 10mins. So you can work out for yourself how long it will take if you are at the end of the queue. Turns out that the bus driver was sick and therefore the 20seater bus could be used. Thought it was a bit poor for a hotel that size to only have one bus driver. Anyway the frustration could have been a lot less if we were told this on reception so we could have arranged taxi's. We made it in the end, but I'm sure there was other people that weren't that lucky. Therefore my only critisim is that the hotel didn't deal very well with an unexpected situation. Since I think this was an exception I would still rate the hotel as very good and would stay there again.
0.3
2 out of 5Very disappointing stay at the Clarion. Arrived for a late check in and the smell in the room of cigarette smoke was terrible. Comlained the following morning but got very little response from receptionist.Quality of the breakfast was poor also. It was overdone to say the least. Shall not be returning to this hotel if i can avoid it.
0.3
5 out of 5We were very pleased with our stay in the Clarion. The room was lovely and we could turn off the heating which is a big bonus. We had a meal in the resturant is was super. We always stay in the Clarion when we have an early morning flight, which always seems to be the case. They are getting earlier!, and have never been disapointed. I consider the moment I step into the Clarion I am on my holidays. Thanks to all the staff.
0.3
4 out of 5The Clarion is my hotel of choice at Dublin Airport and I was last there overnight on 22nd Dec. While most of the country had come to a stop due to the snow (including Dublin Airport with its shiny new terminal 2) the clarion was going full tilt. Due to the weather I twice changed my reservation at short notice through Roomex.com without problem. Don’t be put off by the slightly faded décor in the rooms – the beds are comfy and the public areas including the foyer, bar and restaurant have a nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly and very efficient. The excellent breakfast makes a great start to the day. The three check in pods work well and the shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes to the airport terminal – or if you want some exercise the terminal building is only an eight minute walk away.
0.3
4 out of 5we enjoyed our 1 night stay-good food, service & lovely room.
0.3
2 out of 5For me it should be 3 star hotel!!!! I did not sleep at all because of the noise from the radiators.I could have turned them off but then it would be cold.I was not feeling well after sandwiches i bought at the bar. I do not think i would ever go back there.Sorry
0.3
4 out of 5Excellent hotel very close to Airport with Shuttle Bus service every 30 minutes. Clean rooms and very good bar food. Reception Staff very efficient, helpful and friendly
0.3
5 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were there for an early morning flight departure of our daughter, the shuttle bus proved very useful at 04.30am, it allowed us to leave our car at the hotel. After the flight's departure we were able to return to our room and later enjoy an excellent breakfast. You couldn't fault the room in any way, being clean and tidy with the usual comforts, the way a 4 star hotel room should be. Staff very friendly, all in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay ! plus great value for money We certainly would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
0.3
3 out of 5Perhaps a more varied menu with some simple choices without so much sauces. Staff are polite and helpful and rooms are clean and adequate for one or two nights.
0.3
4 out of 5Clarion is always great to stay at the airport. Close to the terminals, staff friendly and rooms always clean and fresh.
0.3
3 out of 5The rooms were satisfactioy. I was in one and my parents in the other. Their room was cold on arrival and mine was too hot during the night. The sink tap in their room was loose but worked efficiently. There was sufficient hot water, the shower was easy to use with washing aids. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It helpedv make air travel les stressful during the bad weather. On the whole the rooms were very good value.
0.3
3 out of 5Was shocked to see it cost 1 euro to weigh my case. Ireland is in a recession and this is way above a realistic and sustainable cost. I saw a similar one in Vienna for 40 cents.
0.3
4 out of 5The room was very comfortable with all of the facilities I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The price was also very competitive. The breakfast was also very good. I only stayed there one night but based on this I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend it to other travellers. It is also located on the airport complex with a very good shuttle service to and from the airport.
0.3
2 out of 5Our check in took quite a while as there was a long queue. The staff were very efficient and courteous but unfortunately the first room we were given had a terrible stale smell and also smelled of smoke. We went back to reception and were quickly given a room on third floor which was very nice. We were disappointed that the hotel did not have a lift. We had a meal in the restaurant on night of arrival and it was a lovely meal and again the staff were very nice and had our meal served promptly. Our breakfast the next morning was excellent and set us up for several hours as it turned out to be a long delay for our flight this being the start of the snow and cold weather spell!!
0.3
3 out of 5The hotel room was very far away from the foyer with no elevators but it was a great location.
0.3
4 out of 5Ideal for my short visit to Dublin on business with a late arrival and early departure
0.3
4 out of 5Receptionist gave us a room on ground floor as I had a small child with me. Saved me using the lift all the time. Bar food was good.
0.3
5 out of 5Needed a room because flying out early following morning. Room itself was perfect. Shower was excellent, great pressure in the water. Staff very helpful. Had buffet breakfast which was spot on and great not to be getting ripped off being charged by the breakfast item. Parked my car in hotel lot for duration of my trip for a fiver a day, great value. Frequent shuttle bus to terminals made it easy to check in well before flight departure. Will definitley use The Clarion on next trip. Room rate was also very competitive.
0.3
5 out of 5due to weather conditions we decded to stay the night before we flew to Pisa. Best decision we ever made. Staff very friendly and efficient.
0.3
2 out of 5Fridge in the room smelled terrible. Staff in the bar were slow but friendly when they finally took our order. Shuttle bus drivers and reception staff were good but I wouldn't stay here again and would pay the extra for the radisson across the road.
0.3
3 out of 5The room was cold and I could not get the heating to work. Everything else was fine.
0.3
3 out of 5Clarion Dublin Airport is a brilliant location and great value. I usually park there and walk to the terminal. Couldn't be better from a convenience point of view.
0.3
4 out of 5Better than I expected, rooms clean and fully functional. Other facilities were excellent such as bar and menu. Very friendly staff throughout and the buzzer in the bar was a great feature. Close to Airport so very convenient for early travellers. Only area of improvement would be the installation of a lift/elevator. Great stay and great value.
0.3
3 out of 5Room was nice, small but nice for one night. Food in the evening was ok, some staff were unhelpful and seemed like we were in the way. Breakfast was lovely, the staff were great this time a lovely gentleman served us tea and the food was excellent, very good variety. The atmosphere wasn't great, maybe its not always like this but for us this was the case. Overall it was an ok experience
0.3
4 out of 5Have stayed here before, and as usual, a good value, room is nice, bedding comfortable. Service is slipping a bit, though. What previously was an excellent restaurant menu, much reduced in size, less Asian entrees, just not as good. Shuttle from airport takes too long to come - called and was told 7 minutes, it was more like 20, and 3 shuttles from nearby Radisson came in that time. To return to airport, you have to pay a euro for shuttle -- a nominal fee, but most airport hotels provide service for free (its why we stay near airport). Better to raise room rate 1-2 euros instead. Sad to see the place fall on hard times - perhaps a victim of recession, cut number of staff, so service suffers.
0.3
5 out of 5I HAVE STAYED FOUR TIMES AT THE CLARION THIS YEAR AND I HAVE FOUND STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL AT ALL TIMES, I ALSO HAD MY DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY LAST WEEK AND THEY LOVED IT ALSO.
0.3
4 out of 5I usually stay at the Clarion when catching an early flight or upon a late arrival. I have always found this hotel to be welcoming with a very professional yet friendly atmosphere hotel. My room was, as always, clean and well supplied, although it did feel a little colder thsan usual. I shall use the hotel again.
0.3
4 out of 5Booked a family room for a one night stay. The bar staff were excellent and even after leaving my jacket after me while having dinner, the bar man rang the room to inform me and even delivered my jacket up to the room. The room was lovely and clean.I would have given the Clarion a superb review if it was not for the fact that we had to pay €5 to keep the car in the carpark overnight. As residents I think this facility should be free
0.3
5 out of 5We had a clean quiet room at the end of a corridor. The bed was very comfortable. The parking fee was 5 Euro. We felt that it represented excellent value for money and will certainly use it again.
0.3
5 out of 5Easy to book through Roomex, Welcoming lady on check-in. Quiet room tastefully decorated, Comfy bed, friendly wake-up call ( at 0430 hrs), powerful hot shower in a spotless bathroom, smiling face to greet me at check-out, prompt transfer to the terminal building.... all for € 54......you just can't beat roomex and the Dublin Airport clarion hotel... I'd be a fool would go elsewhere....
0.3
4 out of 5Have stayed here numerous times, and have been quite satisfied every time. One slight disappointment this time is that the menu in the Kudos restaurant has changed. I am sure the recession had a lot to do with paring down the selections, but it used to have more asian inspired food -- now just fried Vietnamese spring rolls (good but not very healthy) and a stir fry. The food is still excellent, but I miss the Malaysian dishes that there used to be. A caution to travelers who have difficulty on stairs -- there is no lift so very possible you will get a room 1 flight up or down from main level. Bellman will deliver bags using utility lift, but you will need to use the stairs. A great value place to stay, nonetheless.
0.3
4 out of 5Location and service could not be faulted. The rooms need a good 'make-over' though.
0.3
4 out of 5Everything was first class Thank you

4 out of 5We enjoyed our stay at the Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport, The staff are allways very pleasent and helpfull with cases etc. The room was nice and warm when we arrived we could not find any fault with the hotel , we allways stay at the Clarion when we fly from Dublin
0.3
1 out of 5We stayed on a Tuesday night as we were heading for a 0600 flight. Arrived & checked in, no issues. Room was number 166 in the older extention of the hotel. The room itself was fine. 2 large double beds, excellent shower, clean and comfortable. excellent value if we had been able to sleep. Our problem was the room above us..... The people banged and banged on the floor, moved furniture, kids jumping from bed to bed. We rang reception twice and each time the stopped for 5 minutes but then it started again. They then got up at 0300 hrs and started again and left their room at 0355 hrs ( must have been going for the 0400 hrs shuttle bus) We ended up getting about 2 hours sleep.. ( we were travelling with 2 young children) by the time we got to the plane we were like zombies from the tiredness. We would have been better off staying at home and sleeping and getting up in the middle of the night and driving to the airport. I did bring this to the attention of the man on reception when we were checking out at 0500 hrs... apologies etc ... but not much use to us. The room we were in is an 'old' extension to the hotel and the floors and wooden. This is way the noise was so bad. I would never stay in this part of the hotel again and would recommend that when you are checking in at reception that you do not accept these rooms. HOWEVER the price you are paying is extremely low so if we had been able to sleep it would have represented excellent value !!!!!!

2 out of 5When you enter the parking lot, you park your car and there is no signage as to where the reception is. You have to find your way around the front in the dark. The entrance to the lobby is one of those revolving doors. However, it is not automatic so you have to push it around yourself, not very easy when carrying luggage. When you check in they do not have a queue or line system. They have 2 to 3 desks manned by a receptionist. You need to wait on one and if someone wants to push in front of you they can, so if you get a slow person someone who came in later than you but went on another queue or line, can register first. VERY DISORGANISED. The TV did not work. When we went to take the shuttle to the airport in the morning, the receptionist did not tell us we had to pay to use the shuttle. The shuttle driver told us, so one of us had to stay on the bus and the other had to run out in the rain again to go to the front desk, struggle with the non-automatic revolving door, and pay the 2 Euro shuttle fee. Then when we returned to Dublin Airport, we had to wait 15 minutes for the shuttle - no seats at the bus stop. There were three Radisson Hotel shuttles arriving before anyone from the Clarion came. Guess where we will be staying next time! Typical Irish inefficiency all around.
0.3
5 out of 5I would highly recommend the Clarion hotel - lovely accommodation and we also availed of a fantastic breakfast. Many thanks
0.3
1 out of 5Much smaller than expected, hardly any parking facilities for the number of guests. I had to drive around and wait for someone to leave before i got a space. No elevators in the hotel so had to drag suitcases up two flights of stairs. Not at all what i expected and i have stayed in the Clarion in Cork.
0.3
5 out of 5I always stay at The Clarion prior to an early flight. The rooms are quiet and have every comfort. Staff are friendly and helpful and food excellent. Their reduced prices make it even more of a good idea now.
0.3
4 out of 5perfect for airport
0.3
4 out of 5So Convenient for our early flights. Staff are excellent and rooms are always in ship shape - comfortable clean and surprisingly sound proof considering their proximity to the airport.
0.3
3 out of 5Room was clean but bathroom a little dated. There is no room service here after 10 which is only pizza prior to that anyway. I enquired about ordering from a local take away and was told by the front desk that the hotel wouldn't give me any numbers or recommendations. And said if I wished to bring food on from outside the hotel I would have to fill in some kind if form. I have stayed in all type and grade of hotel all over the world and have never been asked to fill in a form to eat something in my room. This is a very busy hotel and do bar food until 10pm and food is served a little later in the lobby. Bar prices very pricey. There is also a one euro fee for the free airport shuttle which takes 4 minutes.
0.3
2 out of 5The room was on the small side. It was not possible to close curtains and one of the lights did not work.I reported these but they were not fixed.I expected better from a 4 star hotel.I have stayed in a much nicer room in a hostel.Location was good.
0.3
4 out of 5Check in was easy and simple. Excellent shuttle service to airport and very good advice on getting into Dublin by public transport. Rooms comfortable if slightly in need of upgrade,
0.3
4 out of 5Room excellent, staff freindly and efficient however as we were traveling over the weekend we availed of the parking in the Hotel but on our return the fee came to €69.00 instead of €21.00. We then had to queue at reception in order to rectify this situation which took some time. Perhaps it should be standard to be asked when booking in if you are availing of the carparking facilities in the Hotel.

4 out of 5Didn't get to spend very long here as we arrived in the evening (just enough time to grab a bite in the bar and go to bed) and we were up at 5am to catch a plane, so we didn't get to enjoy breakfast, but the price was very good, the hotel comfortable, the staff friendly, and the food very good! Would definitely stay here again.

4 out of 5this is an excellant comfortable hotel on the airport grounds. great to have access to a shuttle bus to and from the airport terminal. the bedrooms are spotless and comfortable. the food in the restaurant is good. the staff are very friendly. if i had one complaint, it can be a bit cold in the reception area/bar in the evening/night

3 out of 5On arrival we requested a nonsmoking room and initially we were given a room that smelt of smoke- this situation was quickly remedied. The room itself was comfortable and clean. We were very surprised that there was no lift for guests and the fact that staff needed to be called to operate the luggage lift was time consuming and unsatisfactory especially for an early morning departure. The reception area and dining room were well decorated but the corridors of the residential section were in need of an upgrade. The carpets were well worn and shabby. It was a convenient place to stay with an early morning departure.

4 out of 5Location excellent as was our room. Food good, Only complaint we ordered a wake up call which we are still waiting on and never got. Wll stay at the Clarion again.

2 out of 5Not sure how anyone could rate this a four star hotel. My wife and I stayed there two separate nights. Upon arriving, you face an imposing set of stairs with your luggage. (A ramp to the side is not evident without signige. The first night was spent downstairs in room 136? in a tiny room facing a brick wall. There is no elevator evident and you have to again carry your luggage down steps. We were later told an elevator exist only for luggage. The beds were like a camping cots. Lighting was dim and poor. Shower fixture was damaged. Knowing what to expect the second stay, and asking for a room upstairs, 240, this room was not such a shock but definitely not four star quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Would not stay there again.

2 out of 5The main restaurant is closed on Sundays. This was not shown at time of booking. Generally the decor of the hotel left a lot to be desired. The walls of the rooms were so thin you could hear he tv next door and the bathroom noise was easily heard from next door. The very early risers next door could also be heard which meant that you might as well get up also. All in all a poor experience. We would not stay here again

3 out of 5We stayed here with our two infant children for one night. THe staff were extremely friendly. The hotel itself was very nice. We booked a family room which turned out to be quite small. The food was very pricey in the hotel. But other then that it was fine.

4 out of 5We had just arrived back from a two week holiday to Portugal, it wasn't our first time to stay in this hotel, we have been there a number of times. We just got the bus over to the hotel, checked in and headed down for something to eat. The meal was lovely and so was the room. Very clean, a little hot that night but the heating had been turned back on. All in all we enjoyed our stay, and will return shortly for another visit.

1 out of 5I would not recommend the Clarion Hotel at Dublin Airport. The room was appauling and badly needed to be redecorated.

2 out of 5We stayed at Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport. It was our first time to stay in this hotel because it being so close to Airport. Our flight didnt arrive until midnight 30th Sept. We notified the hotel beforehand and let them know of our late arrival at the hotel. We checked in and ordered a drink from the bar and was refused by the barman as he said he had the till closed and the bar was closed. we assured him we were residents and insisted on receiving. He hesitantly threw two drinks at us and told us there were no more. We were discusted and reported it to receptionist the next morning who was surprised and apologised profusely. We found the room very nice all be it very warm with a very heavy duvet. We decided on the night to remember not to stay there again but after the care and apology of the receptionist we will consider again.

4 out of 5Good value for the money Would be nice if it had an elevator

2 out of 5Very small room that smelled of old smoke.

4 out of 5We stayed here on our way to our holidays and enjoyed our stay, this was not our first time to stay at this hotel and we were not disappointed with the staff or the quality of the accmmodation. The only thing that would stop me from giving this hotel a mark of 100% would be the lack of after hours bar facilities for guests, the bar closed at 1.00 am and late arrivals were unable to partake of refreshments due to no fault of their own.
0.3
4 out of 5This was the second time we overnighted at the Clarion and parked our car there for our short trip away. The location is fantastic and the parking rates unbeatable. Parking was very tight both times, but we got proper spaces both times. The hotel is a bit like a labyrinth and there are only 2 entrance/exits, which makes it a bit awkward to get to the parking lot if you're parked in the back, but we will most definitely stay there again and again. The hotel is clean, the staff are nice, the facilities are excellent. We didn't eat there either time, but the restaurant/bar looked nice as well.

2 out of 5There was a smell in the room. It seemed as if someone had been smoking there before we arrived and the smell never left the room.
0.3
4 out of 5stayed there saturday and sunday. staff very friendly and helpful especially waiting and bar staff.rooms great, clean and comfortable, all we needed. only down fall was noise from upstairs on saturday night and when it got so bad after about 3 hours trying to get to sleep,we called reception who dealt with it promptly.will definately stay again as we used it as a base for our buisness in north side.thanks for the hospitality .see you again.

4 out of 5the hotel was very good. I arrived at 1.30am and they arranged a courtesy bus from the airport for me, which arrived very promptly. The room was very comfortable and I would definately stay there again.
0.3
2 out of 5I stayed here for 2 nights before and after my flights When I arrived the first night there was only smoking rooms left I got my room and the room was clean and tidy but there was no remote for the TV I did go to reception and they said they would send someone but they never did. On my return I did get a no smoking room but the telephone was not working and there was no milk jugs with the tea Again nothing was done to fix the problems. The best thing about this hotel is its location near the airport and the fact it has a 24hr courtesy bus

5 out of 5I have been going to the Airport Clarion since it was known as Forte Crest Hotel under the management of Paul Carty en ex student of mine. It may now bew umnder different management with a new nam, but it is still supberbly managed and I recognise many of the staff who were when I first stayed in 1991. I can say, without hesitation, that it is the best hotel in nthe airport area - mainly because of the friendly staff, great management and first class service. Great credit is due to Mr. Daly, General Manager. I shall continue to use this hotel innthe near and distant furute.

4 out of 5Friendly staff, Lovely bar food. Convenient to Airport and City, with a frequent bus service

5 out of 5The hotel room was perfect. The lady who checked me in was vey polite and courteous and the room was quite comfortable. I would definitely use the hotel again when flying from Dublin Airport.

4 out of 5Room clean, restaurant excellent, staff very friendly

4 out of 5Great for early flights!! Nice hotel, friendly staff. Only issue is no lift available for general use, there is a freight lift for staff to bring your luggage to your room.
0.3
5 out of 5a good nights sleep and early rise great 1st class hotel
0.3
5 out of 5Staff were extremely friendly, room was clean there was enough linen and extra blankets, internet and tv were available. I slept well and in the morning I had the coach there immediatley to take me to the airport...overall I had a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel.
0.3
2 out of 5We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel, it in no way comes close to the standard that a 4* hotel should have. The family room was very bare with thread bare carpets no table or chairs, and the decor has not changed in at least 15yrs the windows were filthy as were the window frames. It also had the smallest bathroom we had ever seen, you had to almost step into the bath so you could close the door behind you, one could point was the that the beds were very comfortable, i'm afraid we were also disappointed with the bar food, i wont go into it, but it was awful and that is being very nice, breakfeast was very good, the staff very nice but needless to say we won't be using this hotel again, we were amazed that this hotel could pass itself off as a 4 star, I know that most people use airport hotels as just a stopover but we have used a lot of the hotels around here and this is by far the worst.
0.3
4 out of 5we stayed at this hotel as an over night stop over for an early flight from Dublin Airport. rooms clean and tidy overall very good.
0.3
4 out of 5Me and 2 friends stayed here the night before our flight to Cyprus and the night we came back. The staff were very friendly and the room was just what you could ask for. Comfy beds, cable TV and shower etc. Would defo consider staying there again. Would highly recommend it to others.
0.3
5 out of 5The room is good and the hotel is very convenient
0.3
3 out of 5Exceptionally convenient to Dublin Airport, room excellent, staff excellent, room rate very good too, and we could park in the hotel car park (for the going rate of €7 per night) while we were away. Only complaint was the hotel restaurant. Food of a mediocre standard but quite pricey, wine was bordering on criminal (price paid versus quality received). If you can find somewhere else to eat, I'd definitely recommend staying.
0.3
3 out of 5Clean, well located. Staff not overly receptive at the reception. Don't like to €1 charge for the "courtesy" bus to the airport terminal. Price and location are key.
0.3
4 out of 5Room was comfortable , staff were very friendly, bus to airport to and from was on time. We used to use the hilton but there was always a problem with the airport bus. Would highly recommend this hotel to others. As this was our first stay in the Clarion we will use it for all our trips out of Dublin Airport.
0.3
5 out of 5Very friendly staff, very clean room, great service, very relaxed homely atmosphere on entering the reception area.
0.3
4 out of 5Superbly located for anyone flying out of Dublin Airport on an early morning flight or travelling up to Dublin from further a field in advance of their departure. The hotel is very much geared to this market providing, parking facilities for anyone who wishes to leave their car on site whilst abroad, a shuttle bus service to and from the terminal and an extension to hours during which breakfast and evening meals are served. We stayed in the Clarion two nights, the night before we left on holiday and the night on which we returned and found the staff extremely understanding, patient and helpful. Also both rooms we had experience of ensured we had a good night sleep with absolutely no disturbances of any sort. It was also a nice touch to get you in the holiday mode with the presence of a live band playing in the foyer for a couple of hours at night. I would highly recommend the Clarion on these points alone.
0.3
4 out of 5Good bedrooms. Public areas fine. Bar was fine. Transport to depatures was efficient.
0.3
3 out of 5I rated this hotel satisfactory because of its location and convenience to the airport for early morning flights. Also the triple-room price booked through Roomex was excellent value -61 euro for 3 adults is unbeatable. There is the added fact that you can leave your car while you are away for 7euro per day. The downside to the hotel is the lack of cleanliness in the corridors to the rooms - not our first time to see empty plates and glasses left there for the full duration of our stay. My family all agreed that the showers are very difficult to operate as the turning mechanisms for the settings are old and difficult to grip.
0.3
5 out of 5Hi I have stayed here several times . I really like it especially as it is at the Airport. The resturant is just super I always have a meal there and it is so reasonable and the staff are very friendly nothing is to much trouble I always tell people if they have to stay over night in Dublin for a early flight to stay at The Clarion Hotel. The shuttle service is great.
0.3
2 out of 5This was the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed in and I am a world class traveller. Situated at the airport, it had a niche market and didnt need to try at all. The room was dark, noisy, without even a mirror, and very difficult to negotiate the corridors. No room service except external pizza delivery - ridiculous for an airport hotel - food in the bar was appalling - a toasted sandwich resembled a piece of cardboard and other travellers sitting next to me in the bar said their food was of the same expensive, ridiculous standard. Bar staff were surly, unhelpful and I will never return to this hotel again. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel took 8 guests and there were always 20 guests when I waited for it so some tired guests were just left behind to wait another half an hour. All in all, give this hotel a very wide berth.
0.3
3 out of 5Issues we had with the Hotel did not seem to have lifts at least none where visible to us, had to carry a {20kg] case up two flights of stairs. while the room itself was fine but we found that a noise of a motor runing just above our room noise as a result of the motor stoping and starting every 15mins or so did not allow us much sleep during the night the hotel itself was nice as was the staff and we had nice a enjoyable meal
0.3
4 out of 5Great, just what we needed.
0.3
3 out of 5On a friday night 'the night we stayed' They have a fantastic offer for celebrating a 21st birthday bash. Great!!!!! If it is in a function room that is not in the reception area. The Clarion 'which we thought is an airport hotel' has only one function room and it is in the reception area. The problem we found was that once the partygoers were in the room the music and and the noise was fine . But sixty to hundred people consistly moving in and out to the main doors for a smoke caused disruption to people that are chilling out in the bar before their journeys ahead.
0.3
3 out of 5Nice & clean! Ideal for the airport - food was basic but expensive, room clean, bathroom very small!!!
0.3
5 out of 5you could not fault this hotel. This is my tenth time to stay here, staff excellent
0.3
5 out of 5My wife and I always stay at the Clarion Hotel when we go away, especially when we cant get a bus connection home, We find that the Hotel is very close to the Airport. The Hotel itself is very nice to stay in, The rooms are very comfortable, the staff are very polite and helpful, and it is very clean, it is our favorite Hotel to stay in and we will keep coming back when ever possible. All in all we cannot say a bad word about this hotel
0.3
4 out of 5Very nice hotel. We stayed here as we were flying out on a 6am flight next morning. Got our wake up call on time and the bus took us to the airport - had to pay 1 euro each for this.
0.3
5 out of 5Grand stay if short. Arrived around 8.45 with my 15 year old daughter. We were sitting down to a meal by 9pm. Twin room great and up at 3.30am for early flight. Shuttle bus was so convenient. Would definitely use Clarion Dublin Aiport again. No fuss,no hassle, a lovely smooth visit.Thanks.
0.3
4 out of 5Accommodations were very nice and we enjoyed our stay, no question. Would suggest that you look into providing hairdryers in the rooms as almost every US hotel does so here. Americans generally expect that there will be that service provided and they do have them permanently mounted for use so that they are not taken as well. Will definitely stay at the Dublin Clarion in the future.
0.3
3 out of 5My first night in room 250 was awful because it was to close to the service elevator and I was woken up too many times. I requested a room change in the morning and they did accomadate me. They even helped with the bags. The second night was great. Breakfast was 15 Euro instead of 9 Euro. I assumed this was because I didn't make reservations for breakfast in advance. The restaurant was wonderful.
0.3
4 out of 5Our two night stay in the Clarion was very comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and temperature just right. The staff members were helpful and courteous. Thank you.
0.3
3 out of 5Initially I was offered a room in the lower ground floor. I told the receptionist that I was nervous to stay in this room as it was situated a very long distance from reception and I felt it was in a very lonely part of the hotel. I asked to be moved. after some discussion the receptionist agreed to move me to a double bed room...initially I had booked a twin room...I duly accepted this room which was relatively centrally located in the hotel.
0.3
4 out of 5Stayed here for 1 night with my wife and young child as we had an early flight the next morning...free shuttle bus to and from the airport which is very handy..check in and out was fast and friendly and the receptionist very kindly put us on a reception level room as we had a buggy with us which was handy...the room was very comfy and clean and even housekeeping called to make up our sofabed for us...a few small things were missing ie some of the light bulbs for lamps, spoons for the hospitality tray,a few complimentary biscuits and fridge was not working...but very small faults and did not bother us as we only literally needed a bed for the night..overall the staff are very welcoming and friendly and even though it is a well kept up market hotel we didnt feel out of place as we have often felt in other hotels with our small child in tow!! Good value and a comfy nights sleep highly recommended

2 out of 5Stayed in the hotel the night before an early flight. When arrived at the hotel they could not find our booking, it took 30 min to check in. NOT ACCECPTABLE. Then the internet connection was incredibly slow. The printer was broken and when asked to send a fax there was a issue made of it. Very unprofessional. The room was basic. Clean but old and well worn. Rang reception the night before, to ensure that there was a 5.00 o clock shuttle bus, they assured me there was, I arrived at the lobby at 10 min to 5, (adequate time for the bus) only to be told that the bus will be full. This was again not acceptable, the hotel should cater for it occupancy. Unhappy Camper.

4 out of 5Very happy with this hotel and would definetely use again

4 out of 5Have stayed in this hotel many times and have always had a good experience.
0.3
3 out of 5Had a short stay at this hotel as I arrived at 12 and left early the next morning. Had a porter to help me with my luggage so that was nice. Just did not know where to wait for the transport to take me to the hotel from the airport. Had to go back into the terminal to call for the transport again. Comfortable room.
0.3
5 out of 5An extremely pleasant stay at The Clarion Hotel, Dublin Airport. Excellent standard in all areas. However, due to ongoing roadworks it was almost impossible to find entrance to hotel......very frustrating. I also feel residents should not have to pay for car parking. Will return.
0.3
2 out of 5Rang ahead to get directions to the hotel and receptionist was unable to give them. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and was met by a very rude woman who addressed us in a very rough and rude manner and told us to sit and wait for a table even though the dining room was empty. The fold out bed was very uncomfortable and the edge very dangerous for children.
0.3
3 out of 5We stayed at the Clarion before an early flight. The room was OK, the long corridors reminded me of being on a ship. A word of warning, have your €1 ready the next morning for the ticket for the bus. I know it's a short journey but we had to stand (4.30am). I wondered would the driver return if he had no room for everyone, because the shuttle is only every half hour. Overall it was a convenient place to put the head down before a flight. Wouldn't rave about it.
0.3
4 out of 5Ideal as we had an early flight next morning, rooms clean and tidy, staff very helpful and courteous, would recommend and would stay there again
0.3
5 out of 5Couldn't ask for anything more. Had avery enjoyable stay. We will be back.

3 out of 5just stayed overnight. Booked a double bed but when I arrived I was told only a double bed in a smoking room was available. Perhaps the Roomex site should include a request for a non smoking room. !. Roomex site stated that there was a minibar in the room but when I enquired about this I was told that the rooms do not have a minibar. Hotel is like rabbit warren in trying to find your room. Hotel has no people lift but has a very old luggage lift which you are asked to seek help to use. Hotel needs to be refurbished. Not up to the standard of the Clarion in Limerick or Cork. Location very good just a few minutes from hotel. Hotel charge 1 euro for the courtesy bus trip from hotel to the airport. Tea coffee facilities in the room. Bed comfortable.
0.3
1 out of 5couldnt sleep as tv next door was on loud all night. We rang reception around midnight but no action was taken. We were up early next morning to catch an earlyflight exhausted and fed up. The whole point of staying there was to get a nights sleep as we live in Galway. The walls in this hotel are wafer thin and in my view this hotel is not suitable for someone who needs a nights sleep ahead of a busy day.
0.3
3 out of 5Staff were friendly on check-in and bar - also the shuttle bus driver. Served the purpose of being close to airport for next day connection, but room was quite small and bed uncomfortable. Bathroom floor and wall tiles had a black and white appearance that gave us a slight dizziness - and that wihout the Guiness.
0.3
5 out of 5Very good airport hotel. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable with good facilities. I enjoyed a lovely meal, reasonably priced in the bar. A very good shuttle service is available to and from the airport. I enjoyed my short stay at the Clarrion Airport hotel.
0.3
4 out of 5The hotel was ideal for a short stay and good value. Parking and shuttle to airport was easy. Lobby was suitable for travellers.
0.3
5 out of 5This Hotel is a gem in by Dublin Airport, Staff are friendly and courtious, efficent and really to out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. It is a pleasure to stay there, be it for business or pleasure. Anything I have to say about the Hotel is positive. Great place to stay, it is convenient to the Airport, the Suttle servive is good, rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast is good.

4 out of 5We had an early flight from Dublin Airport the next morning. To be welcomed and looked after following a days travelling was very reassuring.

5 out of 5Was very well treated, fills all my needs location was brilliant, would be good if parking free, as you stay in hotel, liked the choice of smoking room,

4 out of 5My wife and I stayed 1 night at the start of our holiday and 1 night at the end, and everything was very good, no complaints.

4 out of 5Yes, I like this hotel for it's convenience to the airport and the friendliness of the staff. Would stay again and I have before on several occasions.

2 out of 5I WAS NOT HAPPY.I WAS CHARGED FOR CAR PARK.THERE WAS ALOT OF FRIENDS STAYING THE SAME NIGHT AND NOBODY ELSE WAS CHARGED.PLUS I DIDN,T GET A RECEIPT FOR THE CARPARK.
0.3
4 out of 5We have stayed in the clarion on a number of occassions and it is always a great experiece.
0.3
3 out of 5I had to adjust my expectations somewhat as I am accustomed to having Wi-fi access in the hotel room in the majority of the hotels at which we stay. Also, the garbage and recycling available in the room were extremely small. As I was travelling with an infant diapers fill up a waste basket quickly. Beyond that the room had air conditioning which was fantastic. One other side note the bar fridge was very poor.
0.3
5 out of 5I checked into the Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport ont the 3rd of June. Immediately, I was impressed by they efficient staff. Not only were they staff polite, but they were also, warm and friendly. I requested a nice quiet room, and that is exactly what I got, I had a view of the pond with the ducks win it. It is definately the best Airport Hotel I have ever stayed in. Well priced, great location, for travelling, literally five minutes from the Airort, yet quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was good, all in all I would recommend this hotel as a gem in the heart of the hustle and bustle at Dublin Airport

5 out of 5excellent quick check in , lovely room , great service and great location for the airport

4 out of 5Really enjoyed our short stay at the Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport. It was very welcoming and staff very friendly. We had a lovely 3 course Meal which was very reasonable and tasted excellent. The bedroom was most comfortable and the bus to the airport the following morning was a welcome addition. All in all a most pleasant experience
0.3
4 out of 5Hotel staff very friendly, hotel nice and clean and room was perfect. Great value for money and it's almost in the airport. Will def stay here again!!
0.3
4 out of 5I have stayed at the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel three times in the last twelve months. I have always found it to be clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The bedrooms have everything you need and the food is good. I will stay at this hotel again.

4 out of 5MY WIFE SUFFERS FROM REDUCED MOBILITY AND I WAS PROMISED AV ROOM ON THE GROUND FLOOR, HOWEVER IT WAS QUITE A WALK TO THE DINING ROOM AND LOUNGE. WHEN I EXPLAINED THIS TO RECEPTION WITHIN 10 MINUETS WE WERE GIVEN THE ROOM NEAREST TO DINNING ROOM. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS A FIGHT BETWEEN 2 MEN WHICH WAS VERY QUICKLY DEALT WITH BY THE MALE STAFF WITH NO DANGER TO GUESTS
0.3
4 out of 5All the staff here were very friendly and helpful--a great advertisememnt for the Clarion hotel! Our only problem, on arrival at Dublin Airport, was how to know where to meet the courtesy coach--and at what times it arrived to pick up passengers? (When we found it--eventually--there was a small notice to phone back in Dublin Airport; but if we had gone back in there to phone we could have missed the coach that we were about to phone for!!) That really needs to be sorted out for incoming guests. It was difficult enough for us (who speak everyday english)but what about overseas visitors, who would be really confused by these arrangements? If we want to improve our offeer for tourists into Ireland, then we need to put ourselves into the shoes of incoming visitors. I trust this criticism is seen as intended--a positive suggestion. And thank you again for the Clarion Dublin hospitality. We hope to return again soon. Kind regards xxxxxxx

2 out of 5Room 149 was dirty. particularly the carpets. The linen was clean but the spare blanket in the wardrobe was very dirty. There was also noise through the night from young people (volcanic ash stranded) in rooms on the same corridor. The shower in room 181 was not working properly, Due to time constraints leaving the hotel we didn't have time to register our complaints.
0.3
3 out of 5Clarion Hotel has the best location at Dublin Airport. You can walk quickly and safely to the terminal, especially early in the morning when you don't have to wait for the next shuttle.
0.3
4 out of 5Hotel was clean, roomy and friendly staff with excellent breakfast.
0.3
2 out of 5The hotel is in the grounds of the airport, which is convenient if you need to catch an early flight. However, the hotel is in an old building, with no elevator, so if you have to get to a room which is not at ground level, you have to walk your way through the stairs, which is not suitable if you have a baby or, as in our case, an elderly with you. Furthermore, when we arrived there was one person working behind the counter, who appeared to be also the shuttle bus driver; we were left with the thought: is reception unattended when this person goes to the airport? Then we were first given a room which had not been cleaned, then moved to a room which had a double bed instead of twin bed, and finally to a room which met our original request made at the time of booking. In saying all of this, the personnel present one person only i repeat, was as helpful as he could be, and helped in moveng between rooms and in carrying baggage to the rooms.
0.3
4 out of 5The time at the reception was very short, despite the fact that it was late and there were other people to be checked in. The clerk was couteous and well-trained. The room was clean and well prepared for use. The only problem I had was the shower. There were no instructions of how to use it and I couldn't figure it out myself. Next time, I shall ask someone. I was very happy with the whole experience.

2 out of 5Due to Dublin Airport doing road works the bus stop has moved temporary when we called the hotel to advise them we were at the airport at 2am in the morning we asked for the shuttle to pick us up, we were never advise of this. After waiting nearly 30 minutes in the cold and rain we called the hotel again the night porter told us the bus had been at the airport twice for us!? We then decided to go back into the airport to try ad get a taxi on route we spotted a mini bus and proceeded towards it. It was the Clarion Hotel shuttle bus, we were greated very abruptly by the driver who grunted at us. On arrival at the hotel he threw our bags at the bottom of the steps and drove off without offering to assist us with the bags up the stairs(aprox 10/12 steps). My husband suffers with parkinsons in his 70's and im in my late 60's. The night porter who checked us in was pleasent but again no offer of assistance with bags and he pointed us in the direction of our room. After wandering the corridors we finally got to our room at nearly four am. Our room was nice, clean and warm. The receptionist the following morning was courteous and explained why the bus stop had moved and we suggested they move their sign untill road works are complete. The driver of the bus created a very bad first impression of the hotel for us and although we have used this hotel in the past and family members have also, I dont beleive we will be availing of their services if this is how they treat weary, tired guest who just expect a friendly smile and a kind hello. Thank you.

4 out of 5Disappointed by the Kudos restaurant. Really enjoyed it last summer, but has turned into bar food and over priced.

4 out of 5I found the room to be lovely and spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The meal in the hotel was really lovely. A great start to our holiday.

4 out of 5This is the second time i've stayed in the Clarion Dublin Airport and I look forward to staying again. The rooms are very clean and modern and the staff are extremely helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. I enjoyed my stay.

3 out of 5Room nice and clean. The restaurant unimpressive, there should be more variety on the menu. I got my wake up call from reception which was great as I had to be at the airport at 5.00 am.

4 out of 5Stayed here for 1 night on 28th april. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern clean and spacious and very reasonable (60euro p/r). Bar and lobby area very comfortable and good atmosphere. Didnt eat there so cant comment on food. Used shuttle service to airport which cost 1 euro. It leaves every half hour. Hotel very close to airport bout 7 minutes walking distance. Left car in hotels carpark for few days while I was out of country and only cost 7 euro a night which is so reasonable for short breaks.

4 out of 5Hi. My Stay was very good room great staff great food at the bar good. BUT BUT Had to pay 7euro for parking overnite in the hotel car park???? Very disapointing.

4 out of 5Have been in the Clarion a few times, and found it very satisfactory. Welcoming staff, and very convenient to the Airport.
0.3
4 out of 5stayed in the snow excellent best website for booking hotel is roomex.com.
0.3
3 out of 5Room was very satisfactory. Beds could be more comfortable. Best way to start a long flight. Staff were very friendly and restaurant very good. Overall quite good. Need a lift to ground floor. A lot of stairs if you have large suitcases.
0.3
4 out of 5An unavoidable problem with computers meant that there was a queue at the reception desk. This was not needed after a tiring journey and a we were anxious to get to our room and bed. Staff were courteous and as efficient as they could be. We have stayed in the Clarion many times mainly for its convenient location to the airport and the knowledge that we will get there in a few minutes. However the €2.00 charge for the shuttle service was unexpected and caused delays when passengers had to return to the reception desk to get their ticket. We will stay again though and will be prepared next time for the shuttle bus fare.

3 out of 5Clarion Dublin is reliable, the Roomex rates excellent, and you can walk to the terminal in 6/7 minutes if you don't feel like waiting for the bus!
0.3
4 out of 5Stayed here with extended family before an early morning flight from Dublin Airport. Check in was conducted in a friendly efficient manner. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Anything that would be required for such a stay was provided. We were able to eat at the bar with a good choice of menu. All in all I would recommend this hotel as a very convenient place to stay before or after a flight or for any other occasion.
0.3
5 out of 5Very satisfied, got big room, breakfast wonderful, perfect service. The only thing we found very expensive was 2 glasses of wine in the bar costing 8 euro each, they were just poured out of a big bootle.
0.3
2 out of 5Room was cold, smell of stale smoke. Wont be staying there again
0.3
4 out of 5The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff are friendly and courteous. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and my only criticism is that room service has been suspended at this hotel since January, which was disappointing to a fan of room service. Overall, however, the value for money is excellent.

5 out of 5We recently stayed two nights in the Clarion Hotel at Dublin Airport. Firstly, the room rate was extremely competitive. The room was modern, comfortable and everything we needed was there. Tea & Coffee making facilities were very welcomed after a long journey. We stayed again on our return leg of the journey. This time we got an even nicer room which was very spacious. We had a beautiful dinner in the resturant. My mum had steak and I had duck. I would say that it would compete with any high quality restaurant. The most important factor was the excellent service in each department. This included the friendly greeting from the hotel porters who drove the hotel coach. The friendly staff on reception and the exceptionally nice ladies in the resturant and bar. They really made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend this very comfortable and excellently run hotel.

2 out of 5we stayed one night at the clarion hotel,we found the room on the small side the radiator was very noisy which the staff turned off for us and we had a electric heater plugged in.the restaurant opened at six twenty pm which meant poeple were waiting around until this time.this was our first time to stay at the clarion and sad to say our last.

5 out of 5had a lovley stay and i have rebooked for my return trip in april
0.3
2 out of 5Found the room cold and was very far away from the reception dragging my case
0.3
3 out of 5Entrance to hotel all road works and quite difficult to navigate into. Bar food service poor; slow service, food cold, no cutlery or sauces then once food arrived. Further delay in waiting on these items. Not great value for money. Room quite small and poky. No shower gel. Had to request more. Bathroom quite small and claustrophobic. No room service, no mini bar. Didn't expect to pay extra for car parking overnight. Should have been included in hotel price. Frosty weather next morning. Would have been nice to have defrosting hot water available.
0.3
4 out of 5I enjoyed my stay at the Clarion hotel (airport)......room and breakfast were superb. My only criticism would be the poor lighting in the bedroom (not very conducive to bedtime reading). a light over the bed for reading purposes would be welcome.

5 out of 5we had holidayed in Egypt and were seriously tired so had booked this hotel to try to recoup ourselves before we headed on our 3 hour train journey home the following day..the lady who checked us in was pleasant and very helpful, the room was comfortable and had the best stocked tea and coffee tray i have ever seen!! Even when we couldnt get the radiator in the room to work within 10 minutes a very pleasant young girl from housekeeping had it sorted..the breakfast was unbelieveable there was something for everyone..and as much as you wanted..we had our 5 year old son with us and we were a tad worried we would be out of place in such a hotel but we neednt have worried..overall a wonderful hotel with pleasant helpful staff and we left for the last leg of our journey refreshed and well fed!!! Highly recommended

3 out of 5Room was warm and facilities fine. Food in bar was ok. Shuttle service was excellent. Staff at reception were nice.

5 out of 5I needed to book at room in a hotel at Dublin Airport at the very last minute on New Years day, due to adverse weather conditions. All in all the service you provided from start to finish was quick. great value for money and not a bit stressful. The hotel itself was suberb. Staff were very friendly and extreemly helpful even though they were snowed under with guests due to airlines cancelling flights and putting their passengers up in this hotel for the night. The room itself was very clean and very comfortable and the breakfast provided was enough to keep me filled up for the whole day. ( I did not eat again until 8pm that evening) I will definatley be back to rebook with you again very soon. Many Thanks

2 out of 5Very disappointed with this hotel. I can understand an upgrade of the hotel is currently taking place but I would never classify this hotel as 4 star. I would barely rate it as being 2 star. The room was small, cold, crammed with way too much furniture. Moreover the mini bar was not even stocked and there was no lift in the hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory but I would not stay here again if I had a choice.
0.3
4 out of 5Very clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff.

4 out of 5A group of us were travelling on a very early flight, and decided to spend the previous night at an airport hotel. Through Roomex I was able to get excellent rates in the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel. Both rooms (1 x 3 people and 1 x 2 people) were very suitable - although a little awkward in terms of luggage as there was no lift. The hotel had been renovated since my last stay and was noticeably improved. Service was excellent and I will certainly consider this again in the event of an early check in.
0.3
3 out of 5Overall clean and friendly. The lobby is attractive (which is more than can be said for the rooms and hallways, which are very dated, but clean). Receptionist staff are very cuteous and professional. The shuttle bus driver not so much, wouldn't get out in the cold to help a lady with her luggage. Room for improvement: The steps at the main entrance. I saw no wheelchair access. The doors at the main entrance. Difficult to push the revolving door and pull your luggage through at the same time. Automatic anyone? Most important point for me: The Guinness in the bar was easily the worst pint I have ever had in Dublin. This is Dublin, the home of the "black stuff" and this hotel is the first stopping point (watering hole) for many visiting Dublin, so please clean your lines and have them checked!
0.3
5 out of 5Lovely hotel. Very comfortable and relaxing! Staff are very helpful and friendly! Savage buffet breakfast - can't ask for more!
0.3
4 out of 5Well managed hotel. First class service from staff. Clean, warm, quiet. Fantastic shuttle bus service to & from Dublin Airport.
0.3
4 out of 5Our stay was all that we wanted it to be. We stayed the night before flying out from Dublin and again on our return and availed of the shuttle service and parking facilities.Staff were friendly and helpful.

5 out of 5We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again in the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel. We arrived circa 4.00 p.m. and check-in was very quick. We requested a smoking room and were given it. We were impressed by the size of the room and it had all the usual comforts. We went down to the bar and had a few drinks and the staff were very friendly there. We had food in the bar which was very nice and reasonable. We had breakfast the following morning which had ample choice and fully satisfying. We also used the courtesy bus to the airport which is a great service and always on time. Overall this was a great stay and would have no problem recommending the hotel to other users. I would definitely stay again.
0.3
3 out of 5Hotel was to a good standard and the staff friendly and pleasant with the exception of the courtesy shuttle bus who was anything but courteous and in fact walked away in the middle of a conversation. The information on the complimentary shuttle bus to the city centre is somewhat misleading. There is no shuttle directly from the hotel it is in fact from the airport terminal to which you need to get the hotel shuttle. The hotel gives you a complimentary ticket for the trip to the city centre but you have to pay €7 for the return trip.
0.3
3 out of 5I had a comfortable and generally well appointed room. Information at the airport collection point showing the frequency of the hotel shuttle bus would have helped. Also internet access in the rooms, even if charged for, would be a great help. Generally the public areas especially in the bedroom corridors and stairwells needs upgrading - carpets, paintwork etc. The general experience was positive.
0.3
3 out of 5I checked in late at night so I just showered and went straight to bed. Next morning I discovered there was no remote control for the tv and when I went to ring down to reception I found there was no telephone either! I reported the missing items at Reception when I checked out. Otherwise the room was fine.

4 out of 5We stayed at this hotel prior to an early morning check in at Dublin Airport. As the saying goes "First impressions count" and they certainly did for us. We were greeted in a genuinely friendly manner that set the tone for our stay.I have stayed in many hotels (mostly good), but would say that the manner of the check in here was one of the best.We proceeded to our room which was spotlessly clean and equipped with every comfort needed for such a stay.We then had a nice meal in Bar/ Lobby area which again was very pleasant. In the morning we had a very efficient Wake up call and were able to avail of the complimentary bus to airport.Overall we had a very pleasant experience here and would have no hesitation in recommending the Clarion Dublin Airport hotel to anyone. We will certainly return!
0.3
4 out of 5Hotel and staff very good. Had a major problem with the shuttle bus as we all had to wait a half an hour for the bus to arrive, it was so bad that a driver from a nearby hotel took all of us that was waiting to the hotel. Every time that this driver arrived to take his guests to his hotel we were all waiting, so he kindly told all of us to get into his bus out of the cold.
0.3
3 out of 5Hotel looks old and dated. The rooms are old and dated. standard airport hotel ok for one night.
0.3
4 out of 5Overall a very satisfactory stay. Shuttle driver was very corteous, also desk staff. A fairly lenghty wait for meal in the bar in the evening(a bit understaffed, I feel) but someone came to the rescue after 25 minutes wait & then I was served promptly. Food itself was excellent. In the morning, again greeted with courtesy by desk staff at 4am & shuttle back to airport was without incident & baggage was expertly handled by driver
0.3
3 out of 5good standard of hotel, bar is fine with reasonable food, did not try restaurant, rooms are good size, clean and quiet in night, there was no remote control in my room which seems to be something that is becoming common in hotels probably due to pilfering but its a little annoying, parking in the hotel is the biggest issue, its hard to get spaces and when you do someone usually parks behind you on double yellows or on grass so it can be difficult to get out.
0.3
4 out of 5This is are third stay at the Clarion Hotel, and as before we found it excellent. The Hotel was bright, room clean and comfortable, and staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was most enjoyable.
0.3
5 out of 5Great hotel, great service, professional staff. I always stay here when going to Dublin Airport and always book with Roomex.
0.3
4 out of 5Very nice Hotel, use it all time. Excellent valvue for meals in the dining room. I had an early flight so didn't have breakfast.
0.3
4 out of 5My wife and stayed overnight on our way back from holiday in August,we arrived very late in the morning,The Staff were very helpful and professional, our room was very close by so we did not have to drag our cases to far, we enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was excellant, and we will stay again when we travel in 2010

4 out of 5Stayed at the clarion Dublin aiport as we had early flight Monday morning and late return following Monday night. Rooms fine beds comfortable, wont drown in the bath but there you go.Early moring suttle Drivers very helpful, also late return soup, sandwiches and drinks until 3am...just the job.
0.3
3 out of 5There were no elevator and our room was not very conveinent to resturant or main desk. The room was clean but hair dryer didn't work and room temp.was not easily adjusted. Getting luggage out to cab was difficult because of stairs and at farthest room from front desk.

4 out of 5We have stayed at The Clarion on a number of occasions during the past year whe travelling through Dublin Airport to visit our grandchildren in Basle Switzerland. Having previously used other hotels in the airport area we are delighted we changed to The Clarion. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. Rooms ample and very well looked after, always spotless. The restaurant offers excellent value, with a dinner menu for two people including bottle of top class wine for 60.00 euro in total. We will continue to stay at The Clarion whenever we pass through Dublin Airport.
0.3
3 out of 5Good staff, reception and resturants. Very good standard of rooms. Clean and fresh air, also in rooms for smokers, good tea and midle coffe.
0.3
4 out of 5I was very satisfied with the service evening meal and friendliness of staff, room was adequate and comfortable ideal location for early morning flight and also for car parking
0.3
4 out of 5Quite easily the best hotel we stayed in in Ireland with friendly attentive, yet unobtrusive staff.
0.3
4 out of 5Excellent room and great value for money.Glasses of wine a bit dear, as were the restaurant prices, but good bar snacks at reasonable prices. The ambience and decor were warm and inviting.I will certainly stay there again and recommend the hotel AND your website.

4 out of 5We stayed overnight before flying to Spain early the next day. The check in staff were prompt and courteous. Our room was down two flights of stairs... maybe not suitable for everyone, and there is no lift. However, our room was clean and modern let down only by the very small bathroom. Breakfast was included in our rate and again the staff were helpful and very welcoming. The food was delicious. Checking out was speedy and we found the staff very helpful about our car, which we chose to leave in the hotel carpark for our week away, due to the competitive parking rate on offer for guests of the hotel.Overall I would definetely recommend The Clarion Hotel to friends and colleagues.
0.3
5 out of 5we really enjoyed our stay,it was only for a few hours because it was a late flight in to Dublin.the room was lovely clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great plenty to eat and good quality the staff were very helpful and pleasent the only problem was that our stay was to short to enjoy it more.
0.3
4 out of 5Excellent bus service to and from airport, pleasant room, good breakfast and lovely staff. What more could you want? Oh, and the price for two of us including breakfast was under €100!
0.3
4 out of 5Efficient service from friendly staff make this a good location for an overnight stay before or after your flight.
0.3
4 out of 5Despite late (after midnight)arrival, the hotel coach arrived promptly to take us to the Hotel.Check in was prompt and uncomplicated, the room was fine, the breakfast was good.
0.3
4 out of 5Very good, efficient and clean hotel. Breakfast was good without being great - the usual buffet cooked breakfast under heaters.
0.3
4 out of 5The hotel was very well presented with a large reception area from which the bar and resturarant flowed. There was no waiting around at reception and our room was allocated within minutes. Whilst there was a little distance to walk to the room our cases were brought to our door by a member of staff. The room itself was very pleasing and very clean and comfortable with all one would expect in a four star hotel. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the shuttle bus to the airport was on hand to and from the airport as needed. This is a hotel I have since recommended to friends.
0.3
3 out of 5Enjoyed our stay in Clarion hotel Dublin Airport, staff friendly and helpful, would stay again and would recomend this hotel to my friends
0.3
2 out of 5Ground floor room, rooms above very noisy, creaking floorboards. Plug stuck in bathtub showering had to be quick. Breakfast saved the day!
0.3
4 out of 5The pick up from the airport was no problem, their in a couple of minutes. the check in was great all sorted no need for credit cards etc. all done in advance.I feel as do the room which was clean and tidy as you would expect, but it was in the basement area beside the service area (a bit like it was booked on the net so that will do)but no noise or anything so it was fine......as for including the breakfast in the booking it was very good top class, but if I had to pay in the morning it was 16 euro other than that I would rate this hotel very good and roomex was great!!!!
0.3
4 out of 5Enjoyed the stay staff nice, rooms nice, food nice what more does a customer want.

3 out of 5We stayed on 19th Sept. The room was very small and downsteps, not very satisfactory. We stayed again on 27th Sept. I asked for a large room and was given abeautiful one so this was very satisfactory. Yes we were happy. The breakfasts were very good. The only other complaint was when we arrived of our plane at 10.30pm, checked in and came down for a drink, there was a birthday party on ,there werw kids running all over the place. no comfort with all the noise.
0.3
5 out of 5Very friendly receptionist on arrival, very helpful re times of breakfast, courtesy bus etc. The room was spotless and very comfortable and welcoming, what I liked was the supply of bathroom products in individual containers, in other hotels the soap and shower gel is in a container attached to the wall and needs muscles like superman to access them. The breakfast was superb with a large choice of cold and hot food, my only regret was that I was only there for one night.
0.3
4 out of 5The room very old fashioned, needs updating, especially the ensuite. Other than that, the hotel in general was great, breakfast very nice. Shuttle great, reception staff there when I needed them, other than when I asked for advice regarding Dublin, ie where do I get the bus for Guinness Brewery? They hadn't a clue and didn't know how to get me information. I feel advice for tourist would be appreciated or at least make an effort to get the information. I would stay again in the Clarion but not until all the rooms are modernised, please let me know when they are completed.
0.3
3 out of 5Overall stay was ok but it was for only one night. i had requested a non-smoking room but while i know this is'nt always possible, i thought a better effort could have been made to locate one. breakfast was very good with wide selection and dining area was clean . if i had to stay here for more than one night, i would have requested a change of room. otherwise quite satisfactory.
0.3
4 out of 5Really enjoyed our stay at The Clarion and found the staff very helpful and will certainly reccomend your Hotel to anybody wanting to get an early morning flight as we did. thank you
0.3
5 out of 5My wife and I arrived at night for a 1 night stay, everyone we met in the Hotel were very nice and friendly, our room was perfect with everything we needed. The Breakfast was also very good. We will use the Clarion if we travel through Dublin airport again.

4 out of 5I stay regularly at Dub Clarion. Excellent food (dinner & B'fast) - very helpful and friendly staff. everything very clean and welcoming foyer. I did find a very noticeable smell of smoke in my (non smoking) room this time however and mentioned on comment card? this did not take from pleasure of my stay with my 3 colleagues. will be rebooking as I find this hotel most convenient and coach transfer really swift and drivers very helpful and courteous. Thank you

5 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were there for a Birthday Party. The reception hall was designed and set up beautifully, everything finished off to the highest quality. Rooms very clean, staff very friendly & helpful.

3 out of 5I have stayed at many airport hotels but I was not that impressed with the Clarion Dublin Airport. The room was downstairs (seemed like the basement). It was a small dingy room and cramped with uncomfortable beds (it was booked as a double or twin but there where three singles squashed into the room and 2 of them where fold put-you-up type beds. The mini bar was empty although we had been asked to leave a credit card in-print incase we used the minibar in the room? Just didn't feel as comfortable as other airport hotels which I have paid less for. Luckily Roomex.com included in the cost a full irish breakfast and to be honest that was the best part of the stay the breakfast was good. Most of the other guests were hotel only and seemed to have to pay extra for the breakfast.
0.3
5 out of 5This was our second stay and we loved it. Breakfast is still delicious! :)
0.3
5 out of 5This is the first time to use Roomex and the Clarion Hotel at Dublin Airport. It will not be the last! Roomex offered a suberb service and was most cost effective. The Hotel's location at the Airport facilitates Business People with tight schedules. The accommodation was most comfortable, food was excellent while the ambience second to none. The stay was enjoyable in every way and we have every intention to return.
0.3
5 out of 5Stayed recently, had early flight, found the whole experience stress free. Loved the room, hotel, restaurant and especially the nearby carpark. Staff were very helpfull and the wi fi in the lobby was really a bonus. Definately will be back
0.3
5 out of 5On arrival at the airport the courtesy bus was there. the hotel was superd and the stff very helpful. It was cold and wet and they made us feel very warm. Breakfast was great and overall 9 from 10.
0.3
4 out of 5enjoyed stay at hotel.room very comfortable and clean. staff very friendly and most helpful. food very tasty.
0.3
4 out of 5I found my stay there very relaxing and the staff were excellent and very helpful. I had a slight disability and requested a Ground floor room, which was granted without any fuss. Room service was very efficent too. They also got me a taxi within minutes! An all round good experience.
0.3
3 out of 5This hotel has had many names over the years and many front entrances it seems. But, behind this, the rooms have been the same all the time with a few cosmetic improvements. They're fine for one, tight for two. The main problem is with luggage which has to be dragged up or down stairs unless you are on the entrance level. But, to be fair, they do ask if you want help! Breakfast was was good for the all inclusive Roomex rate, but would be expensive otherwise. Wireless broadband only in lobby, not rooms.
0.3
4 out of 5We stayed on our way back from a hectic visit to Ireland for business. The rooms were exactly what we were looking for - spotless, quiet and with all the comforts and extras you would expect from a top class hotel. We found the staff to be friendly and ameneable at all times. Overall a thouroughly enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back :)
0.3
4 out of 5A very good experience. We arrived well after midnight - due to flight delays. The receptionist was welcoming and provided a rapid and efficient check-in. Everything worked well the next morning, including the shuttle bus back to the airport.
0.3
5 out of 5staff very friendly, all in all, a very enjoyable stay will be back.
0.3
4 out of 5hotel accommodation which included full irish breakfast was great value for money for the 3 of us. the hotels own website was charging more for the accommodation with no breakfast than with roomex. the breakfast was advertised as 19 odd euro and thus with booking through roomex we saved around 60 euro for one night. the rooms we very good with everything you would expect for a 4 star hotel.
0.3
4 out of 5All in all very happy with my stay. The room was very confortable and relaxing. The bathroom was a bit small but otherwise perfectly good too. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The TV reception was quite bad, which is odd since I assume it's cable. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to try the breakfast as was leaving for an early flight but looking forward to it next time. Great value for money.
0.3
4 out of 5The location is handy for early check in's at Dublin Airport. Worth booking via you instead of directly with the hotel as your rates included breakfast and were very good whereas the hotel rate was 20euros more without breakfast.
0.3
4 out of 5We found the staff in the hotel very friendly and naturally courteous - the evening meal was very good and the room was excellent, just right for our requirements. The courtesy bus to the airport the next morning was excellent, a fantastic start to our holiday!
0.3
4 out of 5We arrived late, after midnight - but we needn´t worry, the room was waiting for us. The room was very good with chocolate, fruit, water, newspaper etc waiting. The cooridors were a bit worn down but signs told us they were beeing renovated. We slept well and after a great breakfast(loads to choose from and helpful staff) and we were away the next day.
0.3
3 out of 5The room was a little musty and the bed was too soft. Breakfast was good and the location is excellent for an overnight stay before an early flight.
0.3
5 out of 5I found the whole experience very enjoyable. The staff were great, the food was excellent the rooms clean and the courtesy bus service excellent. Q Well done. I would certainly use this hotel again when passing through Dublin.
0.3
4 out of 5spacious, comfortable, with great access to the airport
0.3
2 out of 5No elevator reserved a twin room but was given a double, this was rectified inadequate signs to indicate wheelchair access / ramps I hurt my back carrying my suitcase up and down stairs insufficient information available in the room - for example I couldn't find any information on the airport shuttle The restaurant is excellent. With an alternative hotel a few feet away, I would have expected better service. I have stayed at the Clarion a number of times, and have recommended it to others. I will be staying at the Radisson the next time I visit.
0.3
3 out of 5Room was abit small for 3 beds. And resturant closed at 10pm, only leaving a very basic menu. Not very good advertising for Ireland. A hotel at a so called international airport should be of better quality.

5 out of 5Thank you for a very pleasant stay at the Clarion. The reception staff were extremely pleasant and heplful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The courtesy bus to the airport was most welcome. I will be recommending your hotel to my colleagues who are frequent flyers from Dublin Airport and I will certainly stay with you again
0.3
4 out of 5After a good but busy ferry crossing, good to get to a hotel that made you feel "wecome" staff were polite and the room v, good despite not having a double and single we had three singles (our fault for not specifying ) but no problem, The food especially the breakfast was first class as was more everything about the hotel and staff. Only thing room didnt have was a soundproof cage for our 9 year old who moaned about the function we attended and everything that didnt please his mood. But we will return in the future just the two of us for "our" weekend. Not only the service v, good from the hotel but also yourselfs at roomex and will definatly use you both again. Stayed in a lot of Dublin hotels, this one fitted the bill.

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. would advise anyone to stay

5 out of 5This is the fourth occasion on which I have stayed in the Clarion Dublin Airport Hotel which is in itself an indication of how satisfied I am with the Hotel. The courtesy bus service is fantastic. Having arrived into Dublin Airport at 12.40 a.m.which was 2 hours later than scheduled (my flight was delayed) I was looking forward to staying in the Clarion once more. Check-in was quick and painless. The room, the breakfast, and the overall service in the hotel, was far superior to the hotel I stayed in while I was on holiday in Italy during the previous week. I will stay in the Clarion again in the future and I have recommended it to people who have asked me where to stay in the vicinity of Dublin Airport.

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay. Four of us travelled to see a football match at Croake Park and our stay at the Clarion was just right. This is our third time so we are very happy with the comport of our rooms the friendly service and of course the food which is of a high standard. Yes we look forward to going back again to the Clarion

4 out of 5Always feel welcome on arrival. Ideal place to start the chill out process prior to a foreign holiday. All staff most helpful and lovely breakfast to set one up for the flight. Enjoyed bar food on night prior to holiday and even returned for more on return . Car parking so convenient and pick up from airport is almost immediate. Now I have convinced my 2 sisters that a stay in Clarion is a must before our hols.

5 out of 5great location near airport our flight was at 8.15 in the morning and it was great to get up have a superb freshly cooked breakfast with happy cheerful staff and still be at airport at 6.30. The restaurant staff manager was,on duty at 6 in the morning although we left her with a full restaurant after a great good value meal €75.00 for two three course meals and bottle of wine. This was our second time to stay there and although the meal had gone up by 10.00euro and car parking was charged for the night of stay at 8euro and not charged on previous visit and it was 10euro per nite while away I would still stay there again for the convenience of location.

4 out of 5All staff polite and helpful, dining facilities very good. Good proximity to long stay car parks and the airport. Shuttle service excellent

4 out of 5Very helpful and friendly staff. Although the room was small it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Both breakfast and dinner was excellent. I would stay there again.

4 out of 5We had booked in for one night as we had a late flight coming back from holidays and didn't arrive until after 11 pm. The staff were very welcoming, pointing out all the facilties available even at that hour. The room was clean and tidy, and for a hotel airport was very quiet. There was also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The only problem we faced was that the shower was not working properly but as there was a bath also in the bathroom, we were not too put out by this. The following morning the breakfast was lovely and hot. Checkout was very quick and we would definitely stay at the hotel again.

4 out of 5A very well located hotel. Warmly welcomed, efficient, helpful, friendly staff in all departments - excellent value.

3 out of 5Check in at hotel satisfactory. As I was checking out very early next morning at 04.45am and breakfast was included in my stay, the information provided in the room was not clear so I left without ordering same. As I informed the check in staff on arrival my early departure a suggestion of "breakfast coffee and muffin to go" would have been appreciated.
0.3
3 out of 5Hotel lobby and bar area very nice, rooms and corridors a little tired, but rooms clean and tidy.

4 out of 5I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Considering its proximity to the airport the room was sufficiently sound proofed so that I was not awoken by the sound of flights overhead. The room was clean and tidy, with soft towels provided. The reception hall was beautifully designed, everything finished off to the highest quality. Drinks were reasonably priced. I had dinner that evening in the hotel which one could only rate as first class, staff were friendly and the food tasted great - all meat supplied was Bord Bia approved (Irish), which is very important to me. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

4 out of 5Everything great with the hotel. The early check in was brilliant, didn't think we would get a room at 9:45 a.m. in the morning, but they had one ready. Easy hotel to get too as well.

4 out of 5A very pleasant Hotel. Excellent dining facilities. I particularly enjoyed the value Dinner wherby you get a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for the very good price of €30. If there are 2 of you Dinner costs €75 with a complimentary bottle of Wine. My room was well appointed. I stayed 2 nights and had an excellent sleep each night. I would recommend this Hotel very highly.

4 out of 5Good hotel, closest to Dublin Airport. Hotel nice, breakfast lovely, rooms quite good. Restaurant is Thai/Chinese. If you want something else, bar food includes burgers, sandwiches etc.

2 out of 5we wre not happy with the room wanted a non smoking double and got a double smoking which was discusting to say the least. the room was not clean.
0.3
3 out of 5The new lobby area and initial welcome was great. The room standard is not much beyond that of a travelodge and fairly small, but nicely decorated and potential for minibar if you pay to have it stocked. The food snacks and bar range was good plus a nice facility to check in online for free. The courtesy bus left every 30 mins but did so on time and the walk, if you missed it, wouldn't be that far. We had problems in the morning as breakfast wasn't served at the time we left. They have a handy grab and go bag to take if you preorder but they tried to charge us extra and then only gave us half of what we asked for.

5 out of 5Stayed in the Clarion in Sligo a few months ago and was so impressed that I chose the Clarion at Dublin Airport fro my overnight there. I was not disappointed. The cleanliness of all parts of the hotel was exceptional. The room was cosy and well equipped. As breakfast began at 6 am it meant I was able to avail of it before my nearly morning flight. The breakfast was superb with a wide range of delicious, fresh foods. It kept me going until I reached my destination in London.I liked the shuttle service which got me to the departure section of the airport in less than three minutes. The price was the cheapest of all the airport hotels I had checked out on the internet. Complaints and downsides? None.
0.3
4 out of 5Although I didnt get to use the gym/pool facilities at the hotel (so I cant comment on these) - I felt the hotel itself was very comfortable and the renovations to the lobby, restaurant and bar are very good. The room was as on a par with most other good hotels I have been in with trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc readily available. As for previous reviews about lack of wakeup call - this should no longer be a problem as there is now a facility to set this yourself on the television (which I didnt use myself as I was only there for a short break and didnt need a wakeup call).

4 out of 5After initial confusion regarding our reservation we were allocated a very nice room. However when we went for somethig to eat in the bar we were billed for items we did not order, this was rectified once it was brought to the attention of a senior staff member. We had a super breakfast the following morning. Overall our overnight stay at the Clarion was very enjoyable.

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our evening and night at the Clarion. We had a very long flight the next day, so it was especially nice to relax in the lounge, have a lovely meal(very good menu)and later to retire to a very confortable quiet room. The staff were charming and very helpful. we shall definitely use this hotel again and again.

4 out of 5We stayed overnight for an early morning flight and found the hotel very good. Everything was very clean and in order and would recommend this to anyone wishing to stay near the airport.

4 out of 5I really enjoyed my stay at the Clarion Hotel (Dublin Airport). I used this hotel as my base for my weekend visit to Dublin. First impressions aren't the best but the interior is much more modern than the exterior. Beautiful lobby and bar area on entering the hotel. Plenty of seating areas around the lobby as this is the only area to access WiFi. Probably a good thing otherwise I would be working away in my bedroom. Rooms a bit on the small side but very nice. Plenty of TV channels and no noise from the nearby airport getting in. All bedroom are on the one level so it can be a long walk but this only burns off the excellent choice of breakfasts. All the staff I met were very friendly and I requested an iron and ironing board and I had one delivered within 5 minutes. Bar food also very good. I didn't get a chance to sample the restaurant. As I said, I used this hotel as my base for a weekend in Dublin. I availed of the complimentary shuttle bus to the Airport where there I was able to access many different buses into the city centre and I purchased a 3 day bus card which was very cost effective. I availed of the car park which I think is only €5 per day for hotel guests. A filling station and convenience store across the road. All in all a very pleasant stay and I will be returning

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at the Clarion Hotel. The check-in was quick and friendly and we found the room to be clean and very comfortable. We had no trouble getting the hotel transport to and from the airport. The very best thing about the hotel was that the breakfast was served until 11am which enabled us to have a good lie-in after sampling the vibrant Dublin night-life. It was great to be provided with extra good quality pillows. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We shall certainly be recommending this hotel to our friends and colleagues here in the Isle of Man.

4 out of 5The room was basic but the staff were very friendly and the food was good. Overall a good stay

3 out of 5Very convenient as I had an early flight. Food very expensive though, otherwise I had no problems with the accomodation. If you are staying B & B you are guaranteed a fine breakfast.
0.3
3 out of 5I think I expected more of the clarion I didn't think much of the room especially the bathroom as it was one of the smallest I have ever had. Other than that location wise you can not fault it for access to the airport.
0.3
3 out of 5Unable to read as there were no bedside lamps working and only one was working in centre of room. On inspection bulbs had been removed. Very noisy as there was a child's birthday party in building. Poor communication at reception desk. Only redeeming feature was the exceleent shuttle service to airport.

4 out of 5We were a party of four with two rooms booked,a double and twin, twin room had breakfast included which thay enjoyed,we didnt have breakfast as we had a four am departure for airport, Both rooms were comfy, had dinner in restaurant which was lovely, couldt believe the amount of food my daughter got on kids menu, meal was great value

5 out of 5My daughter and I were very impressed with the conditions of the room and ensuite. The linen on the beds was crisp and refreshing. The staff in the hotel were most courteous and helpful at all times. The shuttle bus to the airport was punctual both going to and returning to the hotel. The breakfast was perfect and the waiting staff were courteous and sang in tune to the season... which was important given that it was Christmas! Signage for parking was not explicit enough for someone arriving, as we did, in the late night. Our only quibble was the fact that there was no lift to the ground floor where our bedroom was. We had one heavy case. But, I must admit that we were offered help but were so anxious to get to bed that any delay seemed out of the question. But I still give my experience top marks and a superb rating for service, food and proximity to to the airport. Excellent!

4 out of 5Very enjoyable stay at Clarion. So convenient to airport. Very nice room and lovely atmosphere. Glad of frequent shuttle bus.

3 out of 5Had a nice stay in this hotel. Staff everywhere were very helpful and friendly. No lifts are a negative, the hotel is quite big and having to lug suitcases around the long corridors and up and down stairs is not really ideal, no offer was made to carry the luggage. Slightly disappointed with my vegetarian evening meal and feel more choice would be good, however can't fault breakfast it was lovely. Restaurant staff deserve a special mention because of their friendliness.
0.3
3 out of 5this hotel was just ok. nothing special whatsoever but ok for a bed just for the evening if you have an early flight like we did. staff were friendly but the room service food was very poor and overpriced. I would not choose this hotel again if i could get another for a similar price.

4 out of 5ON OUR LATE ARRIVAL [10.30 p.m.] AT Dublin Airport WE USED THE COURTESY PHONE TO CALL THE CLARION AIRPORT HOTEL. WITHIN MINUTES A COURTESY COACH PICKED US UP AND IN NO TIME WE WERE DELIVERED TO THE HOTEL. CHECK-IN WAS QUICK AND EFFICIENT AND WE ENJOYED A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP IN A COMFORTABLE BED IN A SPACIOUS ROOM. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW QUIET IT WAS SO NEAR TO THE AIRPORT. NEXT MORNING WE ENJOYED AN EXCELLENT BREAKFAST, CHECKED OUT AND WERE ON OUR WAY BY TAXI TO CATCH OUR TRAIN HOME. OUR ROOMEX VOUCHER HAD ALL THE INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR QUICK AND EASY CHECK IN AND OUT AND THE HOTEL WAS COMFORTABLE AND THE STAFF EFFICIENT. WHAT MORE COULD A TRAVELLER WANT. JEAN LIMERICK IRELAND

2 out of 5The best part of staying at this hotel was the location. We had an early flight so it was very convenient. We got a very good price and now I know why. The room was not very nice. Old, things not in good shape (furniture), cracks in the bathroom sink, small and dingy. It may have been considered the first floor, but it seemed to be in the basement. No elevator to the floor. The only reason I may choose to stay there again is if I needed to get to the airport at the very early morning hours. I would not recommend the hotel otherwise.
0.3
4 out of 5Happy with all aspects, apart from long walk from reception area to room, which was difficult to find.
0.3
4 out of 5We had a lovely stay everything went well, room location not very clearly directed would have been difficult for an older person to follow the directions eg room 128. We enjoyed our stay and all facilities would return again.

1 out of 5Decided to drive the 120 miles to airport evening before and have relaxing night in hotel.Evening meal in restaurant nice but pricey. Room 114,HUMMING NOISE OUTSIDE WINDOW ALL NIGHT!Got 2 hours sleep at most, extremely frustrating. Breakfast very good. Main purpose for staying in hotel was to feel refreshed in morning before plane journey. Reception said it was 'probably the lift.'Sons stayed in room 225 and had no problems. Rate hotel awful as I didn't get a night's sleep.

4 out of 5I was there to collect some visitors from the airport the following morning. The food in the restaurant was very good on the night and the staff were most plesant. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate. All and all a very nice hotel
0.3
4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed there because our flight was early in the morning. It was our second time there. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. The bar is really modern, the staff is very nice and friendly, and there's a nice buz all around. The best of it all is the breakfast, absolutely delicious! The staff is also very very nice! We really enjoyed it and I'm sure we will be back soon!

3 out of 5The hotel is still being redeveloped. The reception and bar area have been renovated, but the hotel rooms - or at least the ones I have used are still from the eighties. That said, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was decently equipped. Breakfast was substantial and included in the cost, but I was charged an extra five euro for parking. It's an airport hotel - you're there because you are going somewhere else in a hurry, but for what it was it was satisfactory.

5 out of 5Check in even though very late at night went very well and room was clean, breakfast brilliant, perfect

4 out of 5I find the hotel very good and convenient. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. I am a volunteer with a Charitable Organisation and have to travel quite often. Having the facility of being able to check in at any time is great. I also find the reasonable rates from Roomex super. The Charity are covering my expenses so it is great to be getting quality at a reasonable rate. If I was to say one negative it would be how early they finish serving hot food even as room srvice. 10.30 for those arriving from Airport can be a little early but overall very pleased.

5 out of 5We chose to stay here for our final night on an extended visit to the British Isles. The location on the airport with frequent free shuttle service to the terminals allowed us to rest for the final leg of our trip. The room was clean, well appointed, and quiet. The bed was the best we had slept in for our entire trip. Room service was quick and the food was outstanding and arrived at proper temperature--the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. Highly recommended without reservation.

4 out of 5I appreciated the convenience of staying at your hotel during an overnight stay and early morning departure at the Dublin Airport. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The bus service was very good.
0.3
5 out of 5The facilities the Clarion Airport Hotel offers are superb. Clean with excellent bar and room service. The breakfast was first class and the shuttle bus to the airport takes only a few minutes and runs three or four times every hour. Any time we travel by air early in the morning we find the comfort and ease staying overnight at the Clarion takes the hassle out of traveling, well worth the money.

4 out of 5VERY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT STAFF
0.3
3 out of 5The room as such was good, but very far from reception area. No concierge to carry the luggage. It was fine for me as i had minimal luggage, but someone with more luggage will find it difficult to carry it to the room.

2 out of 5Unfortunately this hotel brought a bad end to a great holiday. We went to Prague for a few days and it was great but when we got to the Clarion at Dublin Airport, we found the complete opposite. The staff were not helpful, we had no lift to the 3rd floor, the room was not clean and it was quite noisy. The breakfast was plentiful but not what I expected from a 4 star hotel.

4 out of 5Stayed here for one night , before departing for a weekend away. Staff very friendly (in a professional manner of course). Room located on the ground floor, nice decor & the shower a delight for a good wake up. Breakfast a delight to get before travelling for hours, even more so when the Airport food isn't the best. Would recommend it for a good night sleep & a hearty breakfast to suit all tastes.

4 out of 5Very nice room,clean, everything perfect.Breakfast super.Will book again.

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The reception hall was very welcoming and The Staff very friendly. Room had great big windows, although the room itself was a little but with everything essential in them sky TV, Mini Bar, Hairdryer etc.
