4 out of 5Staff very obliging. Clean hotel with good facilities. The only downfall was that there was no airconditioning making the rooms we stayed in rather stuffy. Plenty of parking although they were going to charge us 4euros a night, when on the hotel brochure in the bedroom said complimentry parking inclusive. Good access for Dublin City.

4 out of 5Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food I bought in Kudos bar was really delicious and reasonably priced and the lesiure facilities were excellent. On the downswing, the noise from my motorway facing room was very difficult to achieve much sleep by and it was only when I arrived onsite that I found out that I had to pay for parking (I thought it was included). It's in a great location for city commuting though and the price was quite good compared to other hotels nearby for what you get.

5 out of 5Being from the West, myself and my sisters find The Clarion an ideal place to stay when in Dublin. We stay here 5 or 6 times a year since it opened. We had a lovely room with three single beds in and was quite large. The room as usual was spotless . We had room service which was very tasty and a good sized portion and very reasonable. As this hotel is close to the city and a quick trip on the bus to the airport [the bus stops at the hotel]I would recommend it to anyone going for business or leisure.

1 out of 5Was worken up at 3.00 am by a noisy bunch; Complained to reception and initially nothing was done. After another 30mins contacted reception again and it took another 15 mins before anybody arrived. Would not stay there again.

3 out of 5Reception was friendly but not very efficient. I had asked for a non-smoking room and despite that I was put into a smoking room, not once, but twice. Rooms were clean but somewhat stuffy. Thankfully a fan was supplied after I requested it. Overall it was good value for money

3 out of 5I could not fault the hotel in general but the room was very poor. We had no fridge which was advertised in brochure. The shower head was broken, no soap and no hair dryer.

4 out of 5Had a great break in the Clarion Liffey Valley. Friendly, efficient check-in. Room clean and bright and comfortable beds. Particularly liked that it was quiet and a good temperature at night. Best of all there was a fridge in the room in which to store water, milk etc. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but at €10 per adult and €5 per child we paid for it and it was good value, the choice and quality was very good. We were there during Easter holidays and the kids loved the pool when they had giant inflatables during the afternoon. There was an unsupervised games room and an unsupervised kids movie in the evening but my kids were too young for this. Found the hotel very child-friendly which was very important for me. This was about the 4th time we have stayed here and I would definitely recommend it for families. Great location beside Liffey Valley shopping centre and near the m50, giving good access to all of Dublin by car. About a 5 minute walk to public bus stop but I would be a bit wary of this if I was on my own after dark. Only criticism I can think of is that the bar-food menu in the evening is all Thai food and I would prefer more choice, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and a take-away pizza menu is given in each room too. Hoping to go back with the kids in the summer.

3 out of 5As expected the hotel was clean and friendly. However it was not without some faults. At registration I asked the receptionist not to put me into a room adjoining another. This was because it of the noise that comes through when the television is on in an adjoining room. Guess what? When I arrived at my room I found that it was an adjoining room. Luckily there was no problem in changing rooms. However this was the third time this happened to me. Toiletries in the bathroom are basic and sparse. For example no bars of soap. Just liquid soap at the washbasin and liquid soap/shampoo over the bath. Not easy to work up a shaving lather using liquid soap. The electric kettle in the room showed very definite signs of wear and tear. Breakfast is expensive and not very appetising. Food is cooked earlier on and left in warming trays. This leaves gives a leathery quality to the rashers. Strangely the plates for the breakfast were not even lukewarm. As usual the table was not set fully: the usual teaspoons missing.

4 out of 5We stayed for one night in this Hotel and found it to be very welcoming and comfortable. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

3 out of 5The hotel is quite large so we had to walk through long corridors to get to room from reception. Room was nice and clean and quite but the was smell of smoking coming through by morning.

5 out of 5Had a wonderful stay in the Clarion Liffey Valley with my husband for Mothers Day. Arrived late on Saturday night to the Hotel and everything was ready and waiting. Room was fantastic and very spacious. Had room service and it was superb. Looking forward to staying there again very soon and will definitely bring the kids next time.

2 out of 5I booked a room for three. the smell of the room when we arrived was desperate. The smell seemed to be coming from the plug hole in the shower. It was a room "suitable" for a disable person as it was a walk in shower. The room number was 465. The toiled was falling off the wall. You were afraid to sit on it incase it would fall on the floor. The room was freezing we rang to reception to tell them that said they would send some one up. An half hour later we got a call from reception to say they had located a heater if we wanted it. We told them not to bother. Also there was only 2 bathtowels and 2 mugs to make coffee. We had booked and paid for a room for three. It was not a very nice stay we told the receptionist when we were checking out, we might as well have complained to the cat on the street for all the attention she gave us.

4 out of 5Nice simple room, but noise could be heard clearly through a door to an ajoining bedroom. Room was clean, bed comfortable, restaurant downstairs was excellent.

3 out of 5stayed for one night because of a social event nearby. so didn't really use all the hotel's facilities. checkin was fine; the room was a good size - double and single beds - and had all you'd expect. the hotel was fine, though has the strangest arrangement for residents' bar ever. so don't expect a relaxing late pint in the bar, it'll be a can in the foyer! when checking out, found they had a charge for 'corkage' on the room which didn't apply. the girl checking us out was great and sorted it out, though without solid explanation. if you find yourself in 'quarryvale', and you need a hotel, you'll be happy enough with this place.

4 out of 5Hotel room was very nice and comfy, bit of a walk to the room tho. Food was lovely when they eventually got the order right. Staff were very nice. We were there as had been to a party in the Arc bar so wasn't too happy when someone from hotel rang room at 8am and it was wrong room. My 1st and only lay on as i've 4 children, but over all was a nice stay and would do it again.

3 out of 5I Stay at the Clarion normally, but I found when I asked for a different offering that was a caesar salad on the menu, they were not very accommodating and when I received it about a half an hour later it was not up to the standards I would normally expect for the Hotel .

4 out of 5Stayed one night with my daughter and choose the Clarion Liffey Valley as she was attending a Training Day at the Shopping Centre.Great location as she was able to walk over from the hotel. Our Twin room was clean and comfortable, and the leasure centre was great. We had breakfast in our room and it arrived on time, hot and very tasty.

5 out of 5We stayed at Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley for 1 night only. It was all we expected & more for the price. Staff were friendly, service was excellent, bedrooms were very comfortable & clean. The leisure centre is first class. If I could find fault it would be that the corridors look very drab, they need a bit of decorating etc. All in all we will be back, excellent location for shopping & we got a taxi to city centre for a very reasonable cost.

4 out of 5Hotel is very easy to get to when traveling from the west of ireland and is located beside an excellant shopping centre which made the trip so handy! During our trip we attended an concert in the RDS and a taxi back to the hotel was reasonable at €25. Rooms were very warm and though the hotel had provided fans in every room we still had to leave the window open all night. Overall I found the staff very helpful. I would definately stay there again.

4 out of 5Stayed in the Clarion Liffey valley Dublin on Saturday 22nd June. Weather was awful dark sky wind and rain, we soon forgot about that when we arrived in the Clarion. Reception was just buzzing they had three very capable young ladies on duty smiles all round. We were celebrating my wife's birthday with dinner B+B in the Clarion and shopping and cinema {sex in the city]in the Liffey Valley Centre. I with a cheeky smile asked for a nice room the young lady replied with a ckeekier grin that all their rooms were very nice and i must say ours was great the bed was massive and so comfortable the decor was realy nice and spotlessy clean. We had trouble managing the lights but a duty manager arrived and sorted it very quickly my own fault of course. We had dinner in the bar service was excellent there was a nice busy athmosphere, food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. After a hearty Breky next morning we tried out the leisure centre staff were great again greeted with a smile Chris Robinson gave me a tour i retired to the jacuzi, steam room and lovely pool came out fully relaxed and extremely satisfied with our visit to the clarion. I wont be waiting for another birthday to return.

2 out of 5This hotel is located in a disadvantaged area of Dublin, this is evident as the view from the breakfast room is over looking a haulting site. The lack of English speaking staff is frustrating. The hotel has not got air conditioning this results in the building over heating and lacking ventilation. The best time to get breakfast is before 9am as it is cold after this time. The facilities are satisfactory however i would not recommend this hotel.

4 out of 5A friend and I stayed here overnight and we were very happy with the room, it was very clean and comfortable. the breakfast was great, good variety and tasty only problem was that the tables were not cleared soon enough and we had to wait for a table. Location wise it was great, right beside Liffey Valley shopping centre and a great lively bar, definitly stay again

4 out of 5Excellent rate from this website for a one night stay in Dublin. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stop over its pretty close to the city and is a good standard hotel. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice in the buffet and good service. There is a gym and swimming pool next door which looked good and two very good restuarants to choose from.

4 out of 5My partner and I live busy lifestlyles and we decided to pick a night and pick a hotel. We chose the Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley where we were warmly greeted at reception and shown to our room. Our room was really lovely, very modern and comfortable but above all it was extremely clean. I headed to the spa cemtre for a bit of pampering and a dip in the jacuzzi, it was just what the doctor ordered !! Later that evening we headed downstairs for a drink at the bar, I have to comment on the staffs friendliness and effeiciency. They really were most helpful and you could tell there was a team atmosphere at play. We sadly checked out after our delicious breakfast and headed home. The topic for the jorney home was " when are free to go back " !!!

4 out of 5I have to travel to Dublin weekly for medical treatment. What is often a difficult trip is made easier by staying in this hotel. The rooms are always spotless and very comfortable. The food is very tasty and the two restaurants offer wide variety of choice and cater for all budgets. The staff are warm, friendly and efficient. There is a nice ambience to the hotel. It is also nice and quiet at night time ensuring a good nights sleep! What more could you ask for?

3 out of 5I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been satisfied. However, the standard seems to have slipped somewhat. My minibar had nothing in it. There was no stationary in the room so I have to go to the lobby to write a letter. The cleanliness of the hotel was less than usual. (grubby plates at breakfast, table not cleaned from previous customer, yet we were still seated and the table didn't get cleaned) I do hope it was only a temperory slip-up but I have stayed there in June, August, September, October, November and now December and this was the first less than average experience

4 out of 5We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The reception hall was nicely decorated for Christmas and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and was clean and tidy with the usual comforts. It was very quiet and though the hotel was full we did not hear any noise from other guests. We used the pool during our stay and this was very nice with a high standard of changing facilities. We did not have dinner but there was a good variety of hot food for breakfast and the hotplates were filled up regularly. All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

3 out of 5Beautiful hotel in a great location close to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre but was disappointed with the noise level in the corridor outside our room during the night. There were people going up and down the corridor ALL night talking and being very noisy. Also the room was extremely hot and we were unable to turn the heating down. When I contacted the reception they asked me if we wanted a fan! Also none of the channels on the TV were working. Breakfast was excellent and the pool facilities were superb. I would go back to the Clarion again.

4 out of 5The rooms were excellent and extremely clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends. One recommendation relates to service at the breakfast; it appeared to be understaffed or else those staff involved in serving the tea/coffee etc were not organised in a optimum manner.

4 out of 5had a very nice stay at the hotel, if i had any fault it would be the power of the water in the showers, otherwise great. staff excellent, staying there again in a couple of weeks so hope to use more of the facilities on offer

5 out of 5Upon entering the the front door we were met by a very professional and enthusiastic young man who bid us a warm welcome and offered to carry our bags to the check in desk. This attitude from the staff continued throughout our stay. We ate in the hotel on all 3 nights and found the food superb aswell as excellent value. Staff were honest regarding the choice of food and were only too happy to help. The room was spotless, spacious and secure. The card access worked flawlessly. Car parking problems were never a factor and, above all...... Free! The hotel has a fantastic leisure centre. It is perfect for a hard sweat or a total relaxing experience. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who visits Dublin.
