If you want to be in the heart of the action, i.e. right on the "strip" this hotel is a good location. Its not too far from the beach either although Albufeira is hilly so expect to do a bit of climbing! At first glance the hotel looks good, the lobby and reception area are fine - its only when you live there a little that the cracks start to appear! The whole place could really do with some refurbishment and updating. It wouldn't take very much - a fresh coat of paint, some modern bedding and curtains, maintenance around the gardens and pool area i.e. a bit of weeding and maybe some new sun loungers!
I was travelling with my mother and we stayed here because we were meeting some people from the states who were also booked in here. We dined in the buffet one evening with the Americans and the food was dreadful - there is far nicer food to be had outside of the hotel and much less expensive too.
The breakfast is nothing to write home about either - again its a buffet but very limited. Not even a piece of fresh fruit to be had. As soon as our friends left we decided to cut our stay short and left this hotel.
This hotel could be so much more with a little attention.
