Hotel seemed ok at first. Good location and friendly reception. Decor a bit functional; room a bit small but adequate. I ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was a little pricey but tasty enough. Breakfast the next morning was ok. The real drawback with this hotel and one is that it is part of a complex that is mostly given over to student halls of residence. At 2.30 a.m. I was woken by loud music, laughter and shouting from the room next door. I rang reception and was told that this was students and if I wanted to sleep maybe could move to a different room. At 3.00a.m. the receptionist moved me to a room at the front of the hotel and eventually I got back to sleep. At reception next morning, complaining about the disturbance didn't really elicit anything apart from an apology and an admission that some guests had been allocated rooms away from the students quarters in anticipation of end of exam celebrations but for some reason, I was given a room directly next door to the students. Would definitely not stay here again.

Room quite basic but clean, staff responded reasonably promptly when one of the bulbs in the wall lights blew, the room was very dingy without this light as there were only two lights and even with both working the room was quite dim. Bed comfortable and clean, nice pillows, flat screen TV although heating switched off every time max room temperature was reached and then room cools and temp has to be manually switched on again. Walls paper thin and could hear everthing both above and below as well as next door and in the corridors but generally OK for the money and staff quite friendly and room service and breakfast fine.
