Our Customer stayed here in August 2010
De France Et De Chateaubriand Hotel, St Malo, is a characterful, charming old world hotel, set right at the main entrance (St Vincent's Port) to the walled city of St. Malo.
The main reception areas are unique (including a parrot) and utterly French in style. Staff were pleasant and generally friendly. Our room, on the first floor, overlooked the entrance to the hotel but the heavily glased windows insured that all was quiet at night time. The room could be grealty improved with some nice wall paper of some brighter paint, but it was very spacious and clean. The bathroom appeared to have been recently decorated and was lovely. One comment - they do not have information about the hotel in the room, a folder detailing breakfast times etc would be useful. An iron would also be a welcome addition.
Breakfast was always fresh and of good quality.
This hotel is offically (as of 2010) a 2 star hotel, but I've stayed in 3 Stars that didn't have the charm of the F&C hotel.
We were so happy we booked here and would definately stay again.
