Location

This hotel is located in the grounds of Howth Castle, in north County Dublin, overlooking its own parkland golf courses. It enjoys breathtaking views of Ireland's Eye and Dublin Bay. The kitchen in the Castle Cookery School and The Transport Museum are also located in the grounds of Howth Castle. There is an 8-seater courtesy coach which is available for free to bring guests to and from Howth (subject to availability), where they will find public transport links into Dublin City Centre by DART (train) or public bus as well as restaurants. It offers guests an ideal location just 14 km from Dublin city centre and 20 minutes from the airport and is set high on the hillside of the Howth peninsula, which forms the north side of Dublin Bay.

How To Get There

Guests arriving by car from Dublin City Centre should take the Howth Road through Sutton Cross for 2 miles. The hotel is located on the right-hand side.

Room Description

The rooms are well proportioned with large comfortable beds and tasteful interiors. The majority of the rooms command fabulous views of Howth, either out towards Ireland's Eye and the Mountains of Mourne to the north or across Dublin Bay to the city. This latter view comes into its own at night when the lights of the city reflect off the water. All rooms come with a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer. They are equipped with a direct dial telephone, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an ironing set.

Meals

The Four Earls restaurant, named in honour of the Earls of Howth who lived in the castle, serves food at prices which many expensive city restaurants would be hard-pressed to match. The emphasis is on fresh ingredients, sourced locally where possibly and cooked with imagination and flair.

Sports/Entertainment

Guests can enjoy the excellent amenities including a gym (charges apply), a spa with a sauna (charges apply) and massage treatments (for an additional fee). There is also an indoor, heated swimming pool. Last, but not least, this hotel features Ireland's largest golf complex.
