The grand hotel is an old mansion from the 18th century, totally renovated in a French classical style, and is located in the heart of the historic town of Bayeux. The hotel is located in the old centre of Bayeux, an historic city in Normandy, 12 km from the D-Day beaches (Omaha, Juno Beach), 30 km from Caen, 35 km from St Lo and 1 hour from Mont St. Michel. There are restaurants, bars, pubs and shops about 50 m away from the hotel. The closest train station is about 10 minutes' walk away and Caen-Carpiquet Airport which is 20 km away has 3 flights per day.

How To Get There

By road: From Paris take motorway A13, exit at Caen, and follow directions to Cherbourg then Bayeux centre (2.5 hours). By train: Arrival by Eurostar to the North station in Paris, departure by TER from the St Lazare station, travelling in the direction of Caen or Cherbourg then stopping at Bayeux station (3 hours). By boat: From Cherbourg (90 km) - RN 13 direction Caen, exit at Bayeux or from Ouistreham (35 km) D514 and D515 until Hérouville St Clair (near Caen), then N814/E46 to Rots and D613 - exit Bayeux centre.

The hotel has very charming and quiet rooms, in an old-fashioned building that features pure French traditional hotel comfort with 3 direct dial phones, a TV with satellite channels, an individual en suite bathroom (with shower or bath), a hairdryer and a WC.
