The Edgewater Resort is over a mile from the town centre and unsuitable unless using a car. Against that it is in a lovely secluded area right on the side of the lake. Our first floor room had a magnificant view of the lake and the mountains on the far side. It is really picture postcard scenery.
Reception is both efficient and friendly and the room clean and comfortable. There was a balcony to take in the view and the setting sun in the evening.
Unfortunately I did not dine in the restaurant either morning or evening so I cannot rate the food.
Still the grounds of the resort are very well maintained and the walks along the lake shore were safe and attractive, even for the less experienced walker. The trails are well signposted. There are many water sports available between the resort and the town and the lake is very large and can accommodate everyone, no matter what their sport.
Secure car parking is available and the rooms are two floor chalet type.
