I have just returned from New York staying at the Edison Hotel 47th street. I had stayed there a number of years before and found it very satisfactory, thus I booked again this time. Unfortunately I found the hotel had changed. I found the staff abrupt, and unhelpful.(reception) We felt that due to the position of the hotel in 47th west they had a captive audience and didnt have to bother.It was disappointing, as i had recommended it to the friends i was with. The room was clean, but very noisy. I will definately not be returning .
