Hi, Just back from our stay at Everglades , Cannot recommend enough, SUPERB comfort, We had Sunday lunch in restaurant and breakfast, and food was excellent,Service topped it off, James is a fantastic MD. We stayed in Slieve Donard last summer but would definitely prefer EVERGLADES for Comfort, Service and overall standards better !! Definitely deserves the four stars Standard of cleanliness excellent and room was perfect, we had to bring my 4yr old daughter as couldn't get babysitter and hotel just gave us bigger room and included her in Lunch booking no hesitation. Hotel is close to road but heard no road noise and even though hotel full was not disturbed by any noise during night, Location close enough to city as needs be . Compliments to management & staff very friendly ,clean and comfortable hotel.

The location of this hotel was good, on the main road and about a mile or so from the city, however you would need transport. On arrival the hotel looked lovely with beautifully maintained borders of shrubs and flowers. The reception and lobby area are really comfortable and welcoming and the staff were friendly helpful. We had a twin room and there were two bedside lamps but only one was working. I had to swap bulbs with another lamp. There was only one coffee and a couple of herbal teas. All the little envelopes for shower cap, vanity accessories, shoe mitten were empty. We stayed for two days but our room was not touched or replenished. The Everglades is a lovely four star hotel, however the low standard of housekeeping let it down.
