I've stayed in The Glasshouse before, and like the first time around, I was once again delighted with the service. My room had a lovely view over the Garavogue river and with the Balcony door open I could hear the river rush by four floors down. The room was lovely and very clean and a personal welcome message was waiting for me on the TV screen. The bed was heavenly comfortable, there was tea and coffee waiting for me and the bathroom was spotless. There were plenty of towels there and bottled water to refresh myself with. The room was spacious and the staff had no objections to me bringing up my friends when popping up to the room to get something or to get changed or whatever else I was doing. Dinner was perfect and even though we made the booking quite late we got a table for eight and the food and wine was superb. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast the next morning was perfect. The food was extremely good and the staff was very helpful when I checked out later that day and inquired whether it would be possible to leave my bags for a couple of hours. I can honestly say that the staff at The Glasshouse know how to make one's stay as enjoyable as ever and I'm definitely intending to return to the hotel on my next trip to Sligo.

Absolutely fantastic, we had a lovely welcome, we had a great dinner, great waitress, great service, the room was perfect, looking out over the Garavogue River. Breakfast service was lovely, staff was extremely helpful and nice and didn't mind us having guests up in the room for the afternoon or in the evening. Special requests were catered for, all kinds of information avaiable in the room. I would definitely recomment the hotel to anyone and will stay there again for sure!

I stayed over the weekend in the Glasshouse with my Fiancee and we had a lovely time. The staff were great and the location brilliant. Would definately recommend to all. We had drinks in the upstairs bar on the Fri night where it was a little quiet but that doesn't say anything negative as it has to be seen. We had food in the bar on the Sat and it was lovely. The staff from check in to service to bar were very friendly. My aunt has her upcoming christmas party there and I told her she will have a lovely stay while there. Next time I come back to Sligo, I will definately stay here. So funky and fresh, ideal for both the older traveller and the young person and no problem I would imagine for families. Speedy check in which is always a help. We had driven from Galway. Quiet, spacious rooms. The only thing I could say which is very minor and controllable is that it was very warm in teh room but just turning down the radiator, it cooled down a little. Great choice on TV to if you want to stay, I have never seen so many channels with a range of things to watch in any hotel I have stayed in which again is a bonus. You are also able to take advantage of Free Broadband but make sure to bring your laptop as you pay otherwise. All in all, a fantastic hotel.

Ideal for a b&b visit,comfortable and well located for business in Sligo

We stayed for a Saturday night only. We loved the modern look to the hotel, its very convenient to the centre of Sligo and easy to find. The rooms were perfect, very quiet and very clean. The breakfast buffet was perfect also and even though it was busy it was very relaxed. Only one small downside was the upstairs in The View Bar on Saturday night was cool - could have done with a bit of heating! We would highly recommend this hotel for absolutely everything and will be going back! Excellent value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff we encountered are the best asset the hotel has, helpful and friendly, nothing was a chore. Breakfast was relaxing overlooking the river and a very helpful taxi man organised to take us to Sligo Races (he even managed to give us a good tip on the day).

We really enjoyed our stay, even though very brief. The decor in the room was really funky and refreshing. Cleanliness appeared to be of a very high standard. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The underground car park was very convenient, and would be perfect for anybody planning a shopping trip to Sligo.

i stayed in the glasshouse from the 15-17th feb 2008,i have to say i would highly reccommend this modern and cool hotel!from the lime coloured retro room we stayed in to the great breakfasts we had i will definitly return,if there was one fault it would be that the bed we slept in was way too hard but it wont stop me from going back.

Ideal location, as we have just secured business within the Sligo area. This was my second stop at the Glasshouse Hotel, along with current work colleagues. Excellent service with a smile, food superb (Evening / Breakfast)both times. The only point in holding back from offering a "Superb" score is the building work currently being undertaken in the hotel area. This will end at some point in the near future, which will no doub't offer better parking facilities. Please note, I change employment as from the 1st February 08, I confirm that I will not hesitate to utilise the Glasshouse Hotel in the future.

I recently stayed in the Glasshouse hotel while sitting exams in the local IT. My room was decorated a funky lime green with a fabulous view over the Garavogue river. The hotel is clean, spacious and warm with very friendly and helpful staff and is right in the heart of Sligo which is great for shopping. The only down side to my stay was that I was too comfortable on the king size bed watching a movie on my flat screen tv to do any study!

The hotel has very different decor but it is absolutely beautiful, we had a lovely room, very quiet considering we stayed a saturday night in the middle of december with the christmas parties in full swing. The hotel is located within a short walking distance of the town centre and great for shopping. The staff couldn't be more helpful and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely with a great selection from traditional to modern. I would recommend this to friends, in fact I already have!

7 of us went for the weekend for a 40th birthday party. What a location. The hotel was gorgeous and minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the bed was huge. Internet access at your finger tips, Lovely food, helpful staff... and the river roaring past the windows, what a relaxing sound.. As one of the group said when you stepped out unto the bridge..very refreshing sound for body and soul..

We had an amazing weekend in the GlassHouse Hotel, Sligo. The hotel itself is fabulous, the bar and restaurant are welcoming and relaxing. All staff from the receptionists to restaurant managress were extremely helpful and pleasant. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and decorated to a very high standard. We left the hotel promising to return early in the new year for a longer weekend break.

I stayed in The Glass House in Sligo. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and extremely clean. The hotel is in the centre of Sligo so We were able to park our car free of charge in the hotel carpark and go shopping for the day and there was no need for taxis when we went out at night.
