Customer Reviews for Glengarriff Eccles Hotel Cork
Our Customer stayed here in March 2012
We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights, but because of an illness in the family we had to cancel the first night's stay. It's a good thing, too, because I don't think our backs could have handled two nights on the mattress in our room. The hotel staff were nice and courteous, and our room was pleasant and clean, but the mattress was not acceptable. It was supremely uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. Every time either of us moved to try to find a comfortable position it squeaked loudly. If that weren't enough to make a poor night's sleep, the room was stifling hot with no way to adjust the temperature, so in the middle of the night when we couldn't take it any longer we had to open the window. We were up early, as our backs couldn't take it anymore, and had a mediocre breakfast, albeit with pleasant staff. No one asked us how our stay was, nor were there comment cards to note these unpleasantries. We would not stay there again.
