The hotel was very comfortable and relaxed. It's ideal for family or a relaxing holiday. Staff are very helpful. The bedroom was large and thankfully had air-con. We didn't dip into the mini-bar but prices weren't too expensive. There is a mid-sized pool, perfect for lazy lenghts but beware, the deep end is very deep. Owning to the fact that the hotel is located almost on top of the mountain there is a slight and welcomed breeze. Enjoy the table tennis!! We didn't eat dinner there but the food we did have was up to standard and well presented. Prices were reasonsable - drinks are along the same prices as Ireland (outside Dublin). Access to local buses from the hotel is excellent - do check the timetable before hand and arrive about 10 minutes early. The local bus, SITA, is great value and you also have the option of using the courtesy bus. The timetable for this is displayed in the lobby and you must book in advance. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk, slightly uphill, from the town which hasn't been totally taken over by tourists... Some really nice resturants. One tip, Don't take taxis - we were charged 75euro for a 25 minute trip!!! No matter when you go to the Grand Hermitage Hotel you will enjoy yourselves.
