This hotel is located very close to the City Gate area (where all the buses arrive and depart from). This is particularily handy if arriving on the airport bus (number 8 , and a bargain at just 47 cents from the airport to the city centre).
The room I had was large and was on the same floor as the swimming pool. The pool itself was very nice, warm and clean, and had several marble islands you could swim out to and sit on. There was also a jacuzzi which was good fun, and I saw there was also a well equipped gym - though I didn't have time to try it.
The Breakfast was fantastic ! Loads of choices including all kinds of fresh fruits and things like black olives, capers, pineapples, as well as hot things like bacon and I think you could also request a omlette from a chef there. The breakfast room had spectacular views out over the harbour through giant panoramic windows. And the breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming each morning.
The room I had was large, with a good sized TV, dimmer lights, and a good heating system which I needed (as it was still a bit cool in early March in Malta). There was a good sized bath, and bottles of shampoo and bath gels.
From the hotel it is just a short walk up the hill to the City Gate area, and from there you can stroll through the beautiful old city of Valetta, or get a bus to anywhere.
I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice base from which to explore Valetta. Its a magnificent city and with a small airport it is really easy and nice arriving and departing from Malta.
