It was a beautiful hotel in a very central location. We had booked a twin room however at check-in we were advised that there were no twin rooms & they would upgrade us to a suite but it would be a double bed. They said they would transfer us to a twin room the following night or we could pay £20 extra to remain in the executive room. I thought this was a bit strange that we had to pay the £20 due to their mistake if we wanted to remain in the room. The next day I approached reception & they said we could stay for no extra charge. It was a beautiful execuitve room with a fabulous stand alone Bath. I will return to this hotel.

When we booked in building work was being carried out. I heard of this before I went by other reviewers and asked if we had a refurbished room, as the reviews of older rooms were not good. We were offered an upgrade to an executive room for £25 per night, which we paid, as this was still far cheaper than any other site prices. The room was overlooking Victoria Station so was quiet. Although small, it was well furnished and had a comfortable bed. We had a Bath with both a hand held shower and large overhead shower, but the latter didn't work. There were adequate beverages , replentished on a regular basis, air con and iron/ironing board. The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. I hope that when the building work is finished that the lifts will be improved, as, so far you need to take two to get to the 7th floor, and one was out of action when we checked out , forcing my husband to lug the suitcase down three flights of stairs. But, despite this , our stay was pleasant. We had booked this hotel because it was near Buckingham Palace as we were attending The Queens Garden Party and the location was superb. Thankyou.

We had an enjoyable stay in the Grosvenor. The rooms were very comfortable and on the first floor. The breakfast was excellent and well presented by friendly staff. definately would stay here again.

Large modernised Victorian-era hotel but with the transitory ambience of the mainline Victoria Train Station to which it is attached. Functional and roomy room a bit noisy because the window didnt close properly onto the busy street below . Breakfast a bit shambolic with a limpid lukewarm tea and shortage of plates. Staff friendly though.

we couldn't fault the cleanliness or food in the hotel but the room we were given was so small with a tiny bed that was supposed to be a double. we then had to pay an extra £60.00 to upgrade to an "executive" room which was what we would have regarded as an ordinary double bedroom. we were very dissappointed that any hotel would give such a small room/bed to any couple as a double room. The cafe was very slow to serve we spent 1hour 30minutes and only got a main course, the manager wasn't very nice when we said we needed to cancel our dessert order because we had tickets for a show on the other side of the city

A perfect location for the West End as it's right beside a number of theatres and a 2 minute walk from Victoria Station for the Tube and for access to Gatwick Airport. Spacious, clean and well equipped rooms if the decor is a little dated. The breakfast was good quality food, but because the hotel was so busy it took a while to get served ane there were not enough waiting staff on duty, but we did go at peak time on a Sunday morning when it was packed with all the theatre goers from the night before. All in all, a very good hotel for the price and one I'd stay in again if in that part of London.
