Full marks for check-in; it was quick and easy, my request for a quiet room - since I was travelling on business - was readily met and the fact that I arrived a little earlier than normal check-in time wasn't a problem for the pleasant young woman on Reception. My room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Minor quibbles were that: * The room was a little chilly and the air con/heating unit seemed set to automatic and air con rather than heat. * The Bath taps didn't seem to produce hot water but I managed to fill the Bath using the shower instead, so this wasn't a big deal. Breakfast was typical of the hot-food-sitting-under-heat-lamps type. Staff were fine. The central location is hard to beat, if travelling by train, and I would return to this hotel.

Stayed here on numerous occassions and each time has been very good. Reception staff are very efficient. Our flight gets in very early and we have been allowed early check in on each occassion. The rooms are good, very modern and clean and also free wifi which is a big bonus. Location of the hotel is great but downside is at weekends can be very noisy if you have a room facing onto main road due to hoards of people on the streets 3 / 4 am when clubs close. Would stay here again.

We had 4 rooms on different floors , 2 had been revamped and 2 that had not. The latter 2 rooms were looking a little tired but could not complain considering what we had paid.

This is a good hotel to go and see Birmingham from, which I have to say was much nicer than I had been led to believe. People were very friendly and courteous. The Hotel staff were very friendly and the room was quite large and comfortable. Breakfast next morning was very good too. The hotel is within a short walk of both the town centre the Bull Ring and the Mailbox, all of which are worth a walk around.

We stayed at the holiday inn for a long weekend. Savage value at only €155 for 3 nights which included breakfast. Rooms were great size unfortunatly two single beds joined (and don't you just hate that) but sure you'll get over it. Tea and coffee in the room another big bonus point and the bathroom was spotless (pity the flourescent lamp in the vanity mirror couldn't do anything for my looks. Had to queue big time for brekkie on the sunday morning too many bodies going for the full english but it was worth the wait. Great facilities, literally 5 minutes walk from New Street Train Station, centre of the city, ideal for any traveller going to see King Martin and his Villans at Villa Park

All in all nice comfortable hotel. Staff friendly, we were able to leave our bags in storage on the day we checked out as we were not flying till that night so that was great. Rooms nice size, clean and tidy. Breakfast good. Very central hotel in the city close to all amenities. Would stay there again...

At Reception I was quickly and pleasantly processed on a prebooked arrangement My room was warm, comfortable, well insulated against outside noise and well equiped, the pleasure of a warm towel after a temperature controlled shower was lovely. The bed was comfortable with an additional pillow available. My morning call was on time and the breakfast was great with a wide selection on self service and with waitress service for Coffee /tea In all I had a very pleasant stay and will be glad to repeat the experience in December. The only criticism I can raise is that on arrival there was no instruction, notice or indication that my room swipe card had to be inserted into a slot on the wall in the room to activate the lights. This I only discovered after a return trip to reception which was a bit embarrasing !
