Our Customer stayed here in December 2007
The room was fine and comfortable, it had been very recently refurbished. The hotel offered a very good breakfast, including some hot dishes and the desk staff were very helpful and pleasant.
If one was using the hotel for visiting NYC (we were there for 4 nights/5 days) using the JFK 'Airtrain' could be expensive (we thought the 'Airtrain' charge of $5 each, per ride was excessive) just to access the subway (E line, or LIRR). In fact it paid us to buy a 7 day MTA pass for $24 each, so, forgoing the hotel shuttle in favour of a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the nearest bus-stop for a 'Q6' bus which ran direct to the Sutphin Blvd/Jamaica station - and return.
When we were at the hotel a 'new management' team were putting themselves in place - hope they don't change too many things.....if a thing 'aint broke !....
