Customer Reviews for Holiday Inn Express Malaga Airport Hotel
Our Customer stayed here in October 2011
Not as easy to get to as some reveiewers claim. Easy to find on a 2nd or 3rd visit - once you know where the Holiday Inn is, but otherwise you're forced to get a taxi at a minimum fare of €19. Good for one or two nights, but there is very, very little to do in and around the hotel. Breakfast (free) is extremeley good but it's best to get to the restaurant early before it gets too busy. Hotel rooms are well equipped but the TV gives little choice for English speakers. Vending machines also very expensive.

we stayed in the express by holiday inn Malaga hotel as we had an early departure from Malaga Airport. The hotel was excellent value for money and perfectly satisfactory for a stay prior to a flight; I was impressed that a self-service breakfast was available (and included in the price) at an early hour in the morning. The hotel would really benefit from providing a shuttle service to/from the airport, even if guests were required to pay. Coming from the airport the hotel is located very near a bus stop (just over a pedestrian bridge and a short walk) but understandably other reviewers have raised the issue of being uneasy walking from the hotel to bus stop in darkness if you are unfamiliar with the area. It is difficult to avoid paying premium taxi fares to/from the airport to the hotel if you dont have your own transport, but overall it worked out the best availalbe option and I would stay here again.

our stay at the hotel itself was fine - the room and breakfast were of good standard for the price we paid. We found it very difficult, however, to get to the hotel from the airport in our hire car. It was poorly signposted from the main road, and it was difficult to find our way around the road system. In the end we had to go back to the airport and follow a taxi to the hotel, which cost us €20 !! This made us very late arriving, but the hotel staff were very good with directions to down-town restaurants and bars.
