Hotel Am Zoo is located in a big shopping district and is easily accessed by the train from the airport and has the underground station right beside it as well so its a good base from which to get every where in Berlin . The hotel itself was comfortable but could do with some updating of the common areas and the bedroom fixtures and fittings although everything in the room worked well (we were in a twin room ).The beds were very comfortable and the staff were attentive when requests were made. the room was very clean and the shower was very powerful, house keeping came once a day and refreshed the room and the rooms were very warm. Downside for us ( four lads )was the lack of a late bar in the hotel. this was not too much of a problem as there is a bar right accross the road. Did not have food as on a room only rate but plenty of cafes restaurants and starbucks right on its doorstep.its a good average four star hotel but not for a romantic getaway.
