Our stay was for only one night in triple room for 3 adults. Proved to be 2 rooms[single bed in one and 2 singles in other] separated by short hall with shower room in between which was very convenient although space a little tight as several doors to negotiate. Beds comfortable ,rooms simple but clean and adequate.Breakfast: cereals, cheeses, meats and fresh fruit available more than adequate. Reception staff pleasant and helpful.Location quiet and 20 mins walk from main market square. Would be happy to return to this hotel when visiting again.
Atelier Hotel Apartments was clean and I had a good sized room. The breakfast was fairly basic but adequate. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise coming from either the next door restaurant or the common room in the Atelier(not quite sure as it was early hours Saturday/Sunday morning. A good base for touring the City and also very close to the Bus and Rail stations.Overall, I had an enjoyable 3night stay here.
This hotel is very convenient to the old town - no more than a 10 minute walk. It is also very close to the main railway and bus station and a large shopping centre - again about a 10 minute walk, so the hotel is very well situated. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, the ensuite large and everything was very clean. The tram did pass to the back of the hotel but the noise did not keep me awake. Only breakfast was served. There was a wide range of food to choose from in the mornings and the food was very tasty especially the smoothies! There was a small bar in the reception area. Overall this is a very nice, comfortable and well located hotel.
The Ascot hotel was nice. It does exactly as it says on the tin. The room was small but as I was there on my own, it really did not matter. It has a very central position in Krakow, the main railway station and a massive shopping centre are only 5 minutes walk away. The old quarter of Krakow is only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly. There has to be two sides to every story so on the down side, I had no drinking water in the room but I did have two glasses of which one had a crack on it. Also I thought that the bottle of beer in the hotel bar was expensive as I was paying less for imported beer in other pubs in Krakow. But overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Ascot.
We had a very enjoyable stay in The Bluebell appartments and would think of staying there again.
I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone going on business or a city-break to the city of Krakow. The hotel is very well located - on a nice quiet side street but just a short stroll from the main centre of Krakow. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of maps and guidebooks at Reception to help you plan your days sightseeing. The room I had was large and well furnished. Also spotlessly clean. There was a mini-bar and a good sized LCD TV set and plenty of space for luggage. My room was at the front of the hotel and was nicely decorated too with paintings on the wall and good sized windows. Breakfast was really good - they have a buffet with lots of Polish specialities (including their famous sasauges). Everything was fresh and well looked after. There was also a tiny shop kiosk in the hotel and some kind of spa treatment area where I think you could get a massage or whatever. There were a couple of respectable tour groups at the hotel while I was there (always a good sign), and no noise or anything to disturb sleep. From the hotel the main square is only a 5 to 10 minute walk, and there are plenty of shops, cafes and restraunts around the hotel. If coming from the airport - there is a local bus (292 I think) which costs only 3 zlotys, and stops pretty close to the hotel (much nearer than the train station which is the other option from the airport if using public transport). One other good point about this hotel - it is one of the "collect you from" hotels for the city tours. So if you are staying here the tour bus comes and collects you from the hotel rather than you having to make your way to another hotel to be collected (handy if you are short on time). I would definetly use this hotel again on my next visit to Krakow.
This hotel is pretty central to most locations. The staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean. The continental breakfast is good and they will make eggs and sausages if you want. There is complimentary shampoos and shower gels in the large bathroom. My wife asked for a hair dryer at reception and was given one right away. The restaurant was fairly busy each night and the food was nice. They have a good selection of cocktails at reasonable prices and my wife enjoyed the pina coladas. The only down side was that it can be a bit noisy but not so much to annoy us. We enjoyed our stay in Krakow and if we went back we would consider staying at the Spatz.
I stayed at the Alexander hotel from 12/3/2011 to 17/3/2011 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very good, rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was not to be missed, apart from the normal meats, cheeses, salads, breads, and cereals there was also scrambled egg and sausages. The location is very central and within walking distance of all attractions in Krakow.Staff couldn't have been nicer. Well done again Roomex.
We chose this hotel based on location, price and reviews from other guests. The location was good (10 minute walk to the old town square and 5 min's to the Barbican). We stayed for 7 nights, and the room we were given was quite small for that length of stay, (one small wardrobe and no drawers) but it was very clean, and the staff were generally friendly/helpful. We were woken at 07:30 every morning by the noise of housekeeping chatting away, and we did have quite noisy residents on a couple of nights, so sleep was limited, but the double glazing did cut out almost all noise from the street. The continental breakfast was quite good, but it is not always replenished, so don't leave it until the last minute if you want a good selection. We ate in the restaurant on a few occasions and the food was good, but I would suggest trying some of the many other restaurants in Krakow, as even the ones in tourist areas are not overpriced. We do plan to return to Krakow in the future, but would choose another hotel or apartment because of the noise issues.
We only stayed one night in David Hotel as we were only staying in Krakow for one night. The hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a very good location and we able to walk to most places. The breakfast was more than substantial. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other Roomex customers.
Ideal location - 5 minute walk to the Market Square. 2 minute walk to the nearest tram line. Hotel room was clean, fresh and with all the required amenities. The Reception staff were very helpful. If you decide to go on any of the tourist trails, this hotel is one of the locations where you can be collected and left off. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
