Fantastic hotel, extremely helpful staff. We were unfortunate to stay the weekend the Government buildings across the street were being cleaned - throughout the night! The noise was dreadful but we were moved to a quiet room without any fuss and all the staff we met were really great. The hotel itself is spotless, rooms are very well appointed, beautiful public areas with a wonderful bar and beer garden. Also it's location is ideal, within walking distance of all the main attractions, shopping etc., yet not in a noise location (with the exception of the cleaners across the way of course!). I would recommend this hotel to everybody.
Hotel is small but friendly and homely. Great location. Did not eat in hotel but everthing else was superb.Room spotless with very comfy bed. Concierge extremely helpful. Will def stay there again.

The Hotel was very well located, Central to everthing. Lovely inside. Very Clean. Petite Room is quiet small but was fine.
Excellent location central to everything you want to be near. Rooms are excellently decorated and maximise space available. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
Really nice hotel is in a great location. Room we were in(family of 4) was a good size and was very nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
My mother and I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt New York. This hotel was excellent! And the rate which we received through Roomex.com was unbelievably good!! The hotel is quite plush, particularly in the foyer area. The room itself was perfect - you couldn't complain. We had two double beds which were extremely comfortable and we were looking out over Grand Central Station and 42nd Street. We were on the 20th floor and although the sounds of New York city go on all night we were largely unaware of them and they did not in any way disturb us. The room was large with a huge television, a very nice en suite with bath/shower and very nice decor. The beds were made up and new towels toiletries etc provided daily. One of the best things about this hotel is that Grand Central Station is accessible without having to go outside - you can walk through the station to get to the hotel. As we made much use of the subway this was particular good for us. Whenever I go to New York again I will definitely seek to stay at this hotel. I recommend it highly. (I also recommend Pershing Square across 42nd Street from the hotel for breakfast!)
It was my first visit to NY and the hotel was well situated, four blocks from Grand Central Station, NY City Library and quite close to the Empire State Building. The whole hotel has not been renovated yet, but they are extensive renovation floor by floor. We booked a standard room which was perfect, large double bed and newly renovated bathroom. With all the walking you do, it was great to have a bathtub at the end of the day. I would not book breakfast at the hotel has there are plenty of deli's all within easy distance and they are much cheaper. The hotel offers airport transfers but again if you are on a budget they are pricey. There is a direct bus transfer from Park Ave, just one street over direct to JFK and its only 7 dollars one way, with no stops.
Room was a bit small and the window was right up against a wall, so no view or natural light. Location was good and hotel was clean.
The hotel was amazing, the location was perfect and central the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious and it was perfectly cleaned each day.
On arrival we discussed our booking options re room configuration. This was dealt with very well and we agreed to upgarde to suite. This came at an extra cost but was worth it. We have stayed in the Waldorf Astoria over the last 6 years as we normally come to NY once per annum. I will return hopefully again this year and will book the Walforf again.
It is a nice hotel, location is not very good (20 minute walk to times square). The staff appear to have a rehearsed cheesy service and staff will ignore you until you present the tip first. If the hotel could charge you for the oxygen you consume in the hotel, then they would. This is not a nice ambiance or atmosphere in any hotel. This over charging permeates through all services like internet($10.95 per hour in the lobby).
Nice clean hotel within 15 minutes walking of Times Square and many other attractions. The room and shower/toilet was very small but adequate and clean. Note - some other rooms used shared facilities. Would use it again.
