i stay in this hotel quite often and find it clean, friendly & lovely food also

We were very happy with our stay . Breakfast was indivually prepared and was excellent. Staff were very frienly. The only slight downside was the car parking facilities

your hotel had everything one would want.

Greeted on arrival at reception, staff very prompt and pleasant, food was fab, rooms were nicely decorated, had a great nights sleep, bathroom was a bit small but very minor when compared to an overall good experience :)

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The reception area gave a very good impression of the hotel and the staff were very friendly. The room was very nice and hygiene standards were very good. We ate in the downstairs restaurant and the food was excellent. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. The leisure centre lacked an jacuzzi, but apart from that the pool area was very good and also very clean. All in all we would recommend this hotel.

I was disappointed as it was advertised that there was a morning kids club and there wasn't. Also no air conditioning and music below our room on saturday night till 1.30am which is unfair when you have a 2 year old child.

This was our second visit to Knockranny having been there two years previous. On both occasions stayed in different room types. First was a suite which was fabulous, this time round stayed in a standard room which was much smaller and much more basic but an upgrade can be requested at extra cost but the room had everything that you would require and housekeeping was very good. Check in and out were very efficient with no delays. All staff members are very courteous and pleasant. Food at the Hotel, ranging from bar food to the restaurant is superb, with spectacular views from the Bar and the Restaurant, both reasonably priced. We had previously used the Spa facilites and made a return and they were just as good as the first time, great range of treatments at reasonable rates, with use of the pool and steam room/sauna etc. The pool closes at 7 p.m some evenings which is a bit early especially if you have been out all day and would like a swim before dinner. The Hotel is located just outside the town of Westport on the Dublin side, easily accessible and close enough to the town with a selection of bars and restaurants (5 min drive)and a great base for touring the area, plenty of information to hand and staff will assist with any advice. Although the Hotel looked a a little "tired" on this visit we would consider making a return visit at some time. Thanks you for a lovely weekend.

We arrived late and they were waiting for us to check in. There was a wedding on that night so the hotel was very busy. We were given a bright clean and airy room in the old part of the hotel. There was no mini bar and the bathroom was a bit dated with a shower curtain on the bath. The shower deserves special mention, great pressure and heat. Excellent breakfast - food and service top class. No problem with parking and smooth checkout.

could do with a refurb, but room was clean and quiet. staff were good, bar music nice,food was good. location within walking distance if not raining!

We stayed there Saturday 28th Jan. Excellent Hotel and very relaxing. The room was spacious and bed was superb. The restaurant manager was very helpful and had a funny comment for everyone. If everyone was as cheerful as him the hotel industry would be booming. The leisure centre was top notch as well even if the jacuzzi was out of action. The staff here were all smiles too. Highly recommend the hotel.

On arrival we were checked in with speed and courtesy. we got a warm friendly welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast was excellent, the dining room staff were very warm,friendly and efficient. The only drawback is that the rooms don't have broadband internet access. wireless broadband is only available in the reception area. However, this is not a big problem. Overall our stay was very pleasant and I would be happy to recommend this Hotel to anyone.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room I stayed in.The carpet had not been vacuumed before our stay and the bathroom bin had not been emptied.I thought this was very odd.I mentioned my observations to the reception staff on departure.They apologised for this inconvenience.I would doubts, however, about staying in this hotel again.

Just stopped over for one night en route further 'into the west'. Found the staff very helpful, nice quiet room, and a fine freshly cooked breakfast, not the usual buffet type.

Arrived late - no issues checking in. Despite forgetting to include baby on original booking and only realizing and communicating post original booking there was a cot in our room - saved us having to go looking for it :-) Pints in the bar were interrupted by call from a friends wife saying people in room next door to theirs were being very loud and frightening their children. A word with the night porter and this was taken care of with no re-occurrence through the night. Room was comfortable and breakfast the next morning was more than adequate. Staff were all very friendly and professional. Thanks.

A nice hotel with (most importantly) friendly, helpful staff. The room was fine; clean and spacious, while the anscillary facilities - bar, etc. were adequate, if perhaps in need of a a bit of a sruce up. I would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone who would like a base around north Mayo.

I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel the staff were wonerful and helpful we had two small dog s which were made to feel as welcome as we were would recomend this hotel to any one thanks again ten out of ten.

The staff were great. The only problem I had was the wifi. I was situated on the second floor, but the internet wifi only went to the first floor. Overall, it was a great place.

Had a lovely weekend in Westport made all the better by being right in the centre of town in the Clew Bay, receptionist and all staff were very helpful and friendly, room was lovely and spacious, bright and airy and breakfast was perfect, great variety and no request was a problem. Staff very helpful in every eway, even gave us bikes for free so we had a lovely cycle out to the Reek as they call Croagh Patrick around those parts. Would highly recommend this hotel and even though we didn't use it we also had access to the spa/sauna/steam room, etc. facilities next door which is a great positive if the weather is not great as can happen, its the west after all.
