We had a fantastic time at the Jupiter hotel. It is ideally located on the main "strip"on praia de Rocha, across the road is the Tourist police station, two minutes walk to the fantastic beach and taxi rank just around the corner. The hotel itself is very impressive with superb spacious cool lobby and the staff are very helpful.A very good breakfast with a good choice in spacious surroundings. The room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea .We were slightly surprised that there was a 20euro charge to use the indoor pool and jacusi but it was January after all and it was very quiet. As a summary,if you want a quiet holiday with fantastic weather(20degrees)in a fantastic hotel then hotel Jupiter in the Algarve is the way to go.

We stayed 10 nights at this hotel (2 couples) - we were happy enough overall. The breakfast was fine (cereals, fruit (not a huge selection), Breads/rolls, selection of ham, cheese and hot breakfast), they also had good lunch options when by the pool. We didnt have dinner in the hotel. The hotel is as close to the beach as you can get, and near some fabulous restaurants (Dolce Vita, Sitting Bull, Atlantis, Titanic, Squash). These are very reasonably priced. The swimming pool is small enough, but there were always beds available and it was never too busy. There is construction work across the road, it didnt bother us at all. There is a late bar nearby, but once the window was closed, it didnt bother us much either. The hotel has a pool table, which was good to pass the time while the women got ready to go out! Staff were friendly. This was our second stay at this hotel, and we would stay again. (we did the speed boat dolphin trip, and didnt really see much, and did the cave trip - didnt think that was worthwhile at all)
