Location

The hotel is located directly on the promenade, around 10 minutes' walk from the centre of St. Julian's where guests will find restaurants, bars, pubs, nightclubs, links to the public transport network and the seafront. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel on the promenade and the tourist centre is located in Valletta, which is around a 15-minute drive away. Some 30 minutes' walk from the hotel guests will find Sliema whereas it is around a 25-minute drive to Mdina and Marsaxlokk is about a 30-minute drive away.

Room Description

The Standard and Deluxe rooms have stylish and contemporary décor, warm colours, comfortable furniture and soft furnishings, spacious bathrooms with separate showers and separate WC. Rooms are available with either one king-size bed or two single beds. Views vary from sea views to terraced country fields, valley or inland views. All rooms feature either a balcony or terrace and come with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set, centrally regulated air conditioning and heating, a safe and a seating area.

Meals

Separate from the hotel, the 19th century Villa Brasserie with its grand staircase entrance, offers a number of dining options in a setting of modern and traditional design. The Villa Brasserie offers contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, a concept created by Michelin-starred Chef Michel Rostang and presented by Executive Head Chef Andy Gaskin and his kitchen brigade with French finesse, resulting in a creative mix of La Dolce Vita and Savoir Vivre. The Villa Terraces & The Villa Barista combines a traditional bakery/ grocery with an Italian coffee shop, selling a carefully selected range of everyday products, a tempting selection of sandwiches, salads and fresh breads and pastries. Service is on terraces overlooking the picturesque bay or just as a take-away for a picnic on the beach. Ku De Ta Lounge & Bar offers a light menu of salads, sandwiches and wholesome snacks. Enjoy the stunning sea views while listening to smooth tunes with a choice of seating from various lounges, outdoor terraces or the bar. The Ku De Ta also features an indoor smoking lounge. Scirocco Restaurant, the name of the famous wind, reflects the hot colour scheme of the restaurant and its contemporary Mediterranean theme. The Scirocco Restaurant is the main breakfast venue of the hotel, offering a wide choice of fresh products with a focus on healthy living and a balanced diet. In the evening, the buffet serves modern western Mediterranean cuisine, specialising in exotic hot dishes. La Bajja Pool Bar & Grill offers grilled meat and fish dishes, salads, snacks, and freshly squeezed juices, served at Malta's highest restaurant with stunning views over Balluta Bay.

Sports/Entertainment

The hotel is fully equipped with the approximately 1600 m² exotic Lotus Spa & Health Centre to ensure clients can relax and treat themselves to a Wellness experience during their stay. Guests are invited to take advantage of an indoor pool, an open air pool, a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a solarium as well as massage and spa treatments. It is also possible to enjoy squash, aerobics and a work-out in the gym. A host of water sports activities can be booked nearby the hotel such as water skiing, jet skiing, sailing, diving and deep-sea fishing. The Marsa Sports club is some 10 km away, featuring a par-68 golf course, tennis courts, cricket, 10-pin bowling, minigolf, and horse riding.
