fantastic staff, very clean and great for shops and bars.
Very helpful on arrival, room ready, friendly staff. Room spotless and had everything I required. Breakfast O.K. not very hot and not a great variety basic.
No problems at all and very central for the social side of thinks in Limerick
VERY ENJOY STAY, STAFF EXCELLENT BREAKFAST EXCELLENT WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
stayed for midweek break after XMas, woh, what a treat, on 14th floor, with fab river views, food amazing, even had thai menu, bar lively and staff so helpful and friendly, cudnt say more but will stay there again and have recommended it to friends already, thank you 4 a really enjoyable break away.
The stay was OK, just a few issues: 1) Room had no mini bar, or even a bottle of water 2) Air conditioning was faulty, the room was very hot so I had to open the window. The room was on the upper floors (12th) and the lift lobby / hallways were a little shabby. Staff were helpful and friendly, shame about the few small things to spoil this 4 star hotel.
Clean. Nice beds. Perfect for stop over and good night's sleep.
Nice clean room.

We have stayed here on several occasions, and I think speaks for itself! Very clean and comfortable room, to accommodate two adults and two children. The rate was very reasonable. I was glad to have a room on the ground floor this time-no lugging bags up the stairs. The only thing I was unhappy about is both internet machines in the lobby were out of order, and went to use my own laptop, I found it wasn't possible to have free wireless connection as I'd been told. Overall, another good experience, and will definitely be back.
Staff were very helpful - but rooms were very old fashioned - there was scuffs on the walls and the ceiling had marks on it - around the light fitting was not painted - there was rust in the bathroom and arms of material chairs were filthy. bed was very comfy though - linen and carpet were clean
Hotel is convenient to Limerick with a regular bus just a few yards away. The room was very good and facilities for our business activities were fine. The food at lunchtime I found to be very poor.
The Absolute hotel was very clean and in a great location. I was a little disappointed with the restaurant as I had emailed in advance to see if I needed to make a booking. The reservations manager informed me that I did not. However, the day of our trip the restaurant manager called me to inform me that the restaurant was "fully booked". With a little gentle persuasion she accomodated our party of four. That night, the restaurant was clearly not fully booked as there were empty tables for the entire night. Also the offer of a '3 course meal' was a little mis leading as it was really only a 2 course meal with tea / coffee. Also, pay per view movies were due to be included in the 'Roomex Deal of The Month' but on check out, the receptionist charged us 9euro per movie. When I pointed this out to her, she removed the extra charge from the bill but I feel this shouldn't have happened in the first place. Our friends, who were also availing of the deal got a phone call from reception at 12noon wanting to know why they hadn't checked out...even though a late check out at 1pm was also part of the deal! Despite these few problems and obvious disorganisation I enjoyed the night in the hotel.
Hotel lovely bright anc cheerful. Rooms lovely also. Breakfast couldnt be faulted. Have to say didnt really like Kellys Restaurant or the food. Having said that the people who were with me had steak and said it was lovely. The plastic white table cloth a big turn off. Polish girl serving us was brilliant and cheerful.
we had a very nice stay sadly it was only for one night as we were there for a wedding. The hotel was very comfortable and was made cosy by the welcoming open fires. The breakfast was superb especially the scrumptios scones.the beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It all lived up to our expections and more.Thank you and we hope to visit again.
Beautiful hotel with a lovely personal feel. Staff were very helpful especially the bar staff, who had a very friendly manner. Room was very spacious and clean, food excellent. Would love to go back and spend more time as we had just one night for a wedding.
We have stayed at The Strand Hotel now several times and the hotel cannot be faulted the rooms are spacious and comfortable the views are just superb from most angles of the hotel. It is only a 5 minute walk to the local shopping district bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Loved the room. Clean/ Airy/. Dinner was average but there was the little matter of a rugby match on so it was to be expected. LOVED the breakfast!! (one downer about breakfast, difficult to get a cup of tea! we were sat in the area off the resturant) All the staff were friendly except for the one bar lady who could have asked were we residents instead of the brusque this is your last order but maybe she had a hard day!. Overall 7/10 and will definitely stay again.
The hotel was very clean but i found the staff to not be very helpfull when i checked in they never said where breakfast is served and we had to figure it out ourselves. Their info book in the room was not great but i enjoyed my stay as hotel was close to centre of limrick and near shopping centers.
We made a brief but glorious stay in Limerick this July, to sample the sights of the city and take in the JP McManus Pro AM. Our hotel was perfectly situated on the main road to Adare, as well as Tralee, Kerry and Cork. We checked into a spacious twin room which turned out to have an extra bed to store our gear. The beds were comfortable, and almost got a hold of us before we tore ourselves away and made our way down to the bar for a quick drink before we made the 2 minute journey into the centre of Limerick. We had an early start the next day, and the ample choice at breakfast the next day gave us more than enough nourishment to traipse the fairways of Adare following the worlds best golfers. Alas, we never got to sample the gym or swimming pool, but I have a feeling that when the JP McManus Pro Am 2015 rolls around we will be booking in to an extended stay at the Patrick Punch.
