Hotel Description
All rooms are of medium size and they have been refurbished in a very elegant style with black furniture, striped carpets and wall tapestry. The bathrooms are fully marbled. Rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition. The hotel's restaurant Le Fouquet's is on the ground floor. It is decorated predominantly in burgundy red and leads on to the hotel's terrace. There is also the beach restaurant, which is open for lunch during the summer months. This is an opulent hotel in grand tradition with an Art Deco facade. The large lobby is truly grand with gilded pillars with Greek style finishings at the top. There are comfortable dark brown sofas and armchairs. The hotel is an excellent deluxe hotel which has been very tastefully renovated.

The reception area of the Majestic is very impressive. The staff were very friendly and the check in was efficient. The room was, in my opinion, small for a couple. For a 5 star hotel the room left a lot to be desired. For example, nails were sticking out of the wall where perhaps there had been a fitting. Having said that the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. In my experience it is usual for bottled water to be left on the bedside locker in the evening. This was not the case at the Majestic. A bottle of water from the room bar cost €7!! Even by Irish standards that is a rip off.
