Malmaison Belfast Hotel

A lovely hotel complimented by good food and friendly staff. A perfect location for a short break.

Very clean and well decorated hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel short walk from the Train Station and to the Odyssey Arena. The room is well stocked with everything you need. The one complain I would have is the fluctuating water temperature in the shower in the morning. It wasn't hot enough when turned to its highest temperatire and occasionally the water would go very cold for a few seconds. Breakfast was also fantastic and was included in the price.

Bathroom floor not fully clean. No air conditioning. It was really warm at night. Noises outside from 7am on a Sunday morning! Food and bar really nice and very helpful staff.

My stay at the Mal was a brief but enjoyable one. I ended up booking the Mal 2 days in advance of staying as an extension of my stay for a conference in Belfast. My hotel for the first night was full so I went in search of another place to day nearby. I got a price of €90 B&B for the room (for up to 2 people) which was less than half what I was quoted a month previous. The room was on the top floor and thankfully not facing out on to the busy main road at the front. It was clean, comfortably, plush and had a touch of class to it. The bed was fantastic for my dodgy back and the flatscreen TV and DVD would have been welcome had I had any down time. The en suite had a full sized Bath and a rainfall shower with plenty hot water. The complimentary toiletries were far better than the usual bog standard supplies and towels plentiful and clean. Breakfast was superb with lots of dishes made to order including the Eggs Benedict which were wonderful. Service in the bar (which went into the very week hours with lots of residents), in the restaurant at breakfast and at reception was top notch. The only criticism I have is that my room felt like an attic room with a very small window high up on the wall that I couldn't open. As I was only there for a single night, it wasn't a big deal but the lack of natural light made it a bit dark and slightly prison-like! Really great spot right in the heart of Belfast, will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel with friendly welcoming staff. Very comfortable room and the shower was fab. The breakfast was delicious. Ideally located for attending the Odyssey Arena and within 5mins of Victoria St shopping centre. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and would recommend to a friend. Thank you.
