Customer Reviews for Marriott Warsaw Hotel
Our Customer stayed here in June 2011
On arrival at 11.30am we were told our room wouldn't be available until 4pm; having been on the road since 4am that morning, this was a long wait for us to be able to rest. If we wanted to check in earlier we could avail of an executive suite for an extra cost of around 40 euro per day. A considerable mark-up, considering we were staying for 4 nights. After 3 trips back to the check in desk, at 2pm we were finally able to convince them there must a room available somewhere.
Once in the room we discovered that we could only access TV or music stations for an added cost - this is something I have never come across before! I'm aware you generally have to pay for movies etc but the normal stations are usually available. So it was a quiet stay in the room as after feeling like they were trying to push a more expensive room on us, I was not paying for basic amenities like television.
When leaving, friends we were travelling spent 20 minutes attempting to check-out; we still don't know why it took so long as no bills had to be settled but it took two staff and when my friends explained we had to flight to catch and were running late so needed to leave ASAP, the staff kept reassuring them it would "be fine" and continued to work on the phantom issue what was delaying the check-out!
Other than that, everything was as expected - clean hotel, nice lobby/gym/spa. The breakfast buffet was brillant , they have everything you could ask for. If only the check-in and out process was as good!
