It is a brightly lit and pleasant room. There is no restaurant on-site. Just few miles away from the hotel will take you a place where you find a wide range of fabulous restaurants. The hotel is a typical Parisian building. This charming property of the XIX century is classified Historical Monument in Paris. The lobby is small, but open plan with a more spacious seating area. Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge. This 2-star hotel is considered a Superior tourist-class property. The hotel was entirely re-looked in 2008. The hotel is situated in the historical heart of Paris, Le Marais, a few steps from Place des Vosges, the Picasso Museum, Opera Bastille, Pere Lachaise cemetery & the Beaubourg center. The Hotel De Nemours is ideally situated in the heart of Paris. It lies between the historic neighborhood of the Marais with its museums, and the typically Parisian atmosphere of bars and restaurants of Rue Oberkampf. Today it's the liveliest area in Paris.
With nearby Parmentier, Oberkampf or Republic Metro station connected to lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11 of the underground network, you should find it easy to get across the city.

The hotel overall was a disappointment. Although I found most staff to be helpful and accommodating, I had a dispute with the Manager about taking a take away meal up to my room to eat. He made my 14 yr old daughter & I eat it outside in the gutter in sub zero temperature in the dark. I believe at the very least he could have made the breakfast room available. I tried to reason with him that I didn't know, as there was no instruction abouting not being able to eat a meal in your room,(in the motel or on the net) but in the end it was out in the gutter. This was a disappointing end to a wonderful holiday in Europe. The rooms are very small but reasonably clean. A plus is it close to the metro. It would appeal to those on a budget if you can keep away from the manager. All the best.
