New Hall Hotel Birmingham

4 Star Hotel
Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, United Kingdom

Hotel Description

The rooms are of a medium size and are very tastefully decorated. Due to the historical nature of the building, rooms do vary in size a little and many have beams and fittings dating back hundreds of years. All rooms are equipped to the highest standards offering tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones with access to Sky satellite television. The hotel has 2 dining options. The a la carte restaurant is formal and the food simply divine. The restaurant seats up to 19 people and is cosy, intimate and highly recommended. For a more informal dining experience, there is a popular brasserie to the rear which looks out on to the acres of private grounds. The brasserie has wooden tables and is all the more relaxed than the a la carte restaurant. This 12th century hotel is the oldest inhabited moated manor house in England. Quite simply stunning, surrounded in beautifully landscaped gardens with ample car parking at the front of the property. An elegant long drive way provides the utmost privacy. This is small in size and just has a small reception desk. There is a reading room to the left side, with a log fire, newspapers and comfortable sofas. The health and leisure club provides a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and steam rooms, gym with state of the art fitness equipment, aerobics and treatment room. There is also a 9 hole par three golf course, tennis courts, a croquet lawn and acres of grounds to explore. Fishing is also a more recent possibility now available to guests. Excellent property for a leisure weekend with a roaring log-fire in the Winter and sumptuous gardens in the Summer. (KB 02/08)

Customer Reviews for New Hall Hotel Birmingham

Our Customer stayed here in October 2008

Wow this hotel is amazing. It has tons of character and charm and as we were informed is fully booked for weddings until 2012! I can see why! The room was comfortable and a good size, the bathroom was good and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the Terrace restaurant on the evening and also had breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was by far the best I have ever had at a hotel, lots of choice and good quality ingredients and what a view looking out of the window at the ducks on the moat! The restaurant was very nice and although the price of the meal and wine itself was reasonable the drinks we had before our meal and after were rather pricey totaling £31 for two gin and tonics, two amerrettos and two coffees! Nevertheless it was very enjoyable and the staff were very friendly. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone - I didn't want to leave!
