New Hall Hotel Birmingham

Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B76 1Qx

Exterior

This 12th century hotel is the oldest inhabited moated manor house in England. Quite simply stunning, surrounded in beautifully landscaped gardens with ample car parking at the front of the property. An elegant long drive way provides the utmost privacy.

General

The health and leisure club provides a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and steam rooms, gym with state of the art fitness equipment, aerobics and treatment room. There is also a 9 hole par three golf course, tennis courts, a croquet lawn and acres of grounds to explore. Fishing is also a more recent possibility now available to guests. Excellent property for a leisure weekend with a roaring log-fire in the Winter and sumptuous gardens in the Summer.

Lobby

This is small in size and just has a small reception desk. There is a reading room to the left side, with a log fire, newspapers and comfortable sofas.

Location

This hotel is situated in a charming green and leafy suburb in one of Birmingham's most sought after areas. It is near to the National Exhibition Centre and ICC. Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham International Rail Station are about 20 minutes' drive away.

Restaurant

The hotel has 2 dining options. The a la carte restaurant is formal and the food simply divine. The restaurant seats up to 19 people and is cosy, intimate and highly recommended. For a more informal dining experience, there is a popular brasserie to the rear which looks out on to the acres of private grounds. The brasserie has wooden tables and is all the more relaxed than the a la carte restaurant.

Rooms

The rooms are of a medium size and are very tastefully decorated. Due to the historical nature of the building, rooms do vary in size a little and many have beams and fittings dating back hundreds of yards. All rooms are equipped to the highest standards offering tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones with access to Sky satellite television.
