New Hall is a very special hotel. It is very old, has its own genuine moat, spacious grounds including a walled garden and ancient trees. The staff are friendly, engaging and professional. It is the best of all worlds! Informal and historic, comfortable, elegant peaceful and where you can really relax and escape. I first visited over 20 years ago, when my company booked me there when no ordinary business hotel rooms available in Birmingham because of the Motor Show. So when, my husband and I were visiting Birmingham I suggested we treat ourselves and stay somewhere different and unique. We were delighted with our weekend. We were in one of the recently refurbished rooms and so it had all the modern features one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The oak pannelling, antique furniture and artwork, beautiful stained-glass and latticed windows, many varied-sized rooms were there to enjoy in the in the public areas and walking in the gardens and watching the ducks in the ponds was a real joy. The restaurants offered superb food with varied menus and were good value for money. The breakfast was the best ever! It is also near to to several National Trust Houses which we enjoyed visiting and Birmingham itself was only a short journey away. We had a wonderful weekend and I am sure that my husband and I will be remembering New Hall for many years to come and we hope to visit again sometime. So, if you are going to splash out for a special treat or holiday this is a hotel you will enjoy and remember forever and you do have the moat and ponds to view as well!
