We booked this hotel as it was so close to the city centre. a 5 minutes walk and your outside Lime Street Station. Plenty of supermarkets and all other ameneties on the walk there. The staff were friendly and helpful, even ordering us a taxi when they saw we had a lot of bags. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of space. There had been a fire so the pool and gym was closed which was a shame but was being restored and couldnt be helped. Exactly what it says on the tin...excellent value for the location and facillities!

Overall I had a reasonable stay with the premises as the place was quiet which allowed me to carry out my neccessary works and the staff were polite as well as helpful.

As we arrived late to the hotel we were greeted only by a security guard. Although he was very pleasent he didnt know much about the accomadation and we waited half an hour while he found us a supposedly clean rooms. Although we booked and paid for a double and single room and requested that they be close to one another as it says it can arrange on the website we were given 3 single room on different floors. As these rooms were part of larger apartments and we were 3 girls we felt very unsafe and spent the first night all in one room until our proper rooms could be sorted out in the morning. The next morning we were again greeted by a security guard and told there was nothing that could be done until the staff returned on monday. In the meantime we had to go buy our own towel and toiletries as none of them were provided with the rooms as promised. The rest of the apartment (kitchen and living area) was full of rubbish and unwashed sheet and duvets. They had obviously not been cleaned before our arrival. The wedsire for the "hotel" indicated that the kitchen would be fully functional but the was no cutlery, cups or glasses in sight. Although they did provide us with tea making facilities they forgot to provide the cups. By Monday we had just accepted were we were staying and made the best of a bad situation. However by Monday afternoon the cleaners arrived and were not very friendly. Knowing we were in our rooms they made loud comment about the cleaniness of the apartment and the 'pigs' that must be living in them. When we informed them that the mess had been there on our arrival we were just given blank looks. The cleaners arrived back on Tuesday morning and asked what we were still doing there. As it was only 10 o'clock and we were not provided with a time to vacate the apartments we had had enough and left the keys in the room and departed. Altogether we had a great time in Liverpool but i think its safe to say we will never return to the Opal Court "HOTEL"!!!

Location was fantastic, 5 minute walk from Lime Street Station. My room was massive, ensuite bathroom, shared kitchen and sitting room, Receptionist and Security were very friendly. I don't think this accommodation is available during college term time as it is student accommodation but I will certainly be returning in the summer, at the price it is a steal.

super location, super room and shared kitchen, gym and swimming pool, all for that money. Very friendly reception, very good staff. One disadvantage: only possibilities in July and August, that's a pity! ....... price/quality more than perfect ........
