Good business hotel, comfortable clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. I would stay again.
Good comfortable clean rooms, adequate breakfast, location is a disadvantage, I would stay again at these prices.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms and good breakfast. I would stay again and have recommended it to others.
I have mixed feelings about the Hawkell House Hotel as on my arrival I was told that they were having renovation work hence they rebooked me to- HOTEL BARCELO, Oxford. I was irritated that they did not bother to inform the same prior to arrival as I have booked a month ago and I was made to stay for more than an hour before they could sort my other Hotel. But I had a pleasant surprise as this new hotel turned out to be a 4 star and had excellent facilities. So in a way I suppose I should thank them for more than making up for their mess up.
I realy enjoyed my stay here.It is set in beautiful estate and plently of wild life around in the grounds. It is a place that you could only dreams about. The manour and grounds are beautifully kept. The bedrooms are a little small but adequate.Food very good. Swimming pool difficult to access. Excellent place to take a brake very comfortable.
We stayed at the Randolph in October for one night. The room was 'intimate' to shoebox depending on your perspective with a relatively big bathroom. If you like your bedrooms big avoid this hotel unless you are willing to pay the bucks required. That said, the room was extremely clean with high quality sheets and fluffy pillows etc. We had a great time in Oxford and loved the Randolph which cost us around 250 Euro for the night including a fabulous buffet breakfast. If you are a Morse fan then this is the hotel for you!
very pleasant stay, in Oxford Belfery hotel. Staff and general ambiance were welcoming. Although i didnt use the fitness suite myself my son reported that it was well appointed with modern equipment, he felt a little claustrophobia however as the various hen parties invaded! Many thanks
Overall the holiday break was very very pleasant. The only 'gripe'/'complaint' is that the room -AS PER THE ROOMEX OFFER- was 'bijou'/'compact'/'minimilist'/'functional [aka 'SMALL!'] - too 'tight' for two people over an extended stay. The room was bright, well laid out but no closed wardrobe and/or drawer space, with a very pleasant view but ...small. [Irish solution to this problem - leave the luggage in the car!!] The accomodation was/would be/ could be ideal for an overnight - a place to 'throw down the head' - but for a 4/5 night stay...??? Apart from that the setting is magnificant - golf course [if that is your 'thing']spa, sauna, pool ,excellent food and fabulous grounds. The building itself is a 'place to die for', spacious, classical and extensive. For us the thing that makes a holiday break is the staff and at this Hotel they were excellent , courteous, willing to help, friendly - what more could one ask for. Perhaps if Roomex had highlighted the fact that the accomodation on offer at the price was so small we might have made other arrangements. However we were not down-hearted, the weather was great, the area delightful and we would be willing to return some time - but not to such a small room
Very nice hotel. I asked for the big bed and got one! Only minus point was no air conditioning and the room was very hot. Good breakfast.
