The room was so small that we didn't have room for our suitcases. There was no cups, knifes, plates for breakfast.
My friend and I arrived at the hotel to check in at 1.00pm on the first of our two night stay and we were told that our twin room was not ready until 2.00pm. We said that was no problem, we would go for lunch and come back later. When we returned later, we were given the key to a double room and we immediately said that this was not satisfactory, as we had booked and paid for a twin room and the staff were fully aware of this fact. We were told by the staff member as a compromise that if one of two parties did not check in by 8.00pm we could have a second double room free of charge and if not, he would arrange for a refund of one night. Upon our return, after 8.00pm. we were given a second double room. This room was by far below standard. The curtain was hung on two hooks either side of the window and the bulbs in both lamps were broken. However, we accepted it as by this time it was very late and we had been travelling for 16 hours. When we returned to the hotel for our second night, we were given a twin room. However, the window handle was broken which made it impossible to open and the showerroom extractor fan was on constantly all night. We will NEVER stay here again. Photographs of all rooms available.
Hotel very small!!! Room was tiny not even enough room to unpack bags! Hotel was clean though which is tha main thing. Clean sheets & towels every day! Bath in the room, no facitily for a shower. Breakfast was very basic, consisting of a crossaint and coffee. Hotel within 5 mins walk of the nearest metro station. Perfect for getting to all areas of Paris. Hotel is perfect for people who are going to be out exploring all day and simply need somewhere to lay a head at night. Would not be suitable for families or people who plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel. Staff were always very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay!!!
Hotel was excellent. Rooms were well decorated with comfortable beds. Staff at the hotel were excellent, very curteous and helpful. Hotel is very central, excellent for getting to the shops on foot. Would definitely stay again.

THIS HOTEL IS FANTASTICLY LOCATED JUST OF THE RUE ROCHETTE, WHICH IS FILLED WITH A NUMEROUS ARRAY OF WOUNDERFUL CAFE BARS, RESTURANTS AND QUIRKY LITTLE STORES WHICH GIVES THIS AREA AMAZING CHARACTER AND BUZZ. THE IS A METRO STATION THAT IS LITERALY JUST OUTSIDE ITS DOOR THAT BRINGS YOU DIRECT TO THE CHAMPES ELLISE AND THE EIFFLE TOWER. ON ENTANCE INTO THE HOTEL WE WERE GREETED WITH A PLEASANT DECOUR AS WELL AS FREINDLY STAFF WITH EXCELLENT ENGLISH. WE WERE SHOWN TO OUR ROOM, WHICH AS WE EXPECTED WOULD BE SMALL, AS MOST ROOMS IN Paris ARE. HOWEVER, THE ROOM WAS BEAUTIFLY FURNISHED AND IMPEACABLY CLEAN WITH A WOUNDRLY COMFORTABLY BED WITH GOOSE DOWN DUVET AND PILLOWS. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT ON THIS HOTEL WAS THE CLEANING MAIDS KNOCKED AND WALKED IN AT 9AM IN THE MORNING WHILE WE WERE STILL ASLEEP AND WITH NO 'CLEAN MY ROOM' INDICATOR LEFT ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM DOOR. BUT THIS WAS A SMALL ISSUE IN AN OTHERWISE VERY ENJOYABLY STAY

This hotel is absolutely great. The staff is incredibly hospitable. The breakfast buffet is very good as well. Whenever I am to go to Paris I will definitely stay in this hotel.
excellent and very friendly. could they organise proper tea making facilities for english visitors including proper english breakfast tea bags?
Hotel was in a very good location, although any location is good once you're beside a metro stop. If I was to stay in Paris again I'd probably stay somewhere near Notre Dame, but I think a Best Western is in that location. As for B.W Ronceray Opera Hotel, it was what i expected. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast each morning was a handy way to start the day. The room itself however was very small (I've stayed in larger rooms for cheaper the price previously) although that may just be the nature of hotels in Paris. There were awkward back spiral stairs leading up to our room which weren't the easiest, and the room was a bit dirty, especially the bathroom. I also found the doors and walls to be very thin, as I could hear the people in the room next door, even when casually talking. I do feel that there are better rooms in the hotel and so overall it met my expectations and was a great place to put the head down after taking Paris in for the day

We stayed only one night in this hotel but when returning to Paris I will book it again. It was very central near metro and lots of resturants. The hotel itself was spotless and the beds were comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, bathroom was a bit cramped but clean, bring your own shampoo it is not supplied. Booking through Roomex was great value. As we had to leave early to catch a flight we did not get to sample the breakfast room.
