Within 30 seconds of taking off my shoes, the soles of my feet were really grubby and when I splashed some water on the bathroom floor tiles, it left a tide-mark, which suggests that they wash all the floors with the same bucket of water. We stayed for 3 nights and over the course of the stay, all the light bulbs fused. When I went to reception to ask that the bulbs be changed, the receptionist gave me a key to the room next door rather than sending someone to fix the problem! She clearly couldn't have cared less. The room next door was fine, but there was no wall fixture for the shower so you had to sit in the bath and hold the shower hose of your head. What both rooms had in common was an ill-affixed towel rail that jumped off the wall if you tried to dry your hands. The piece de resistance was that the bedroom door to the second room jammed and we were locked in the bedroom. I had to ring reception to be let out. No apology. If there had been a fire, we would have been baked alive. It is however, 2 minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station and the buffet breakfast was fine.
