Customer Reviews for Ramada Tamworth Hotel
Our Customer stayed here in May 2008
The hotel is modern and clean, well located and easy to find. Bedroom was adequate, bed comfortable although the pillows were the usual ridiculous solid lumps you often find in hotels! There was a sofa bed, however this was very badly stained. Shower was rather difficult to operate, but once we'd worked it out all was fine. On the whole, the room was above average, and certainly excellent value for money.
Staff were all friendly and competent. Wi-fi access in the room was extortionate at £4 an hour, so we didn't bother! Breakfast was good, although we arrived towards the end of the breakfast session and several of the items had run out. There's a handy McDonalds just across the road for anyone who misses breakfast! Didn't try the restaurant or room service, but the menu was simple and reasonably priced compared to others I've stayed at.
The worst aspect was dodging the massive cloud of smoke, and picking your way through the carpet of fag-ends at the front door when entering or leaving. The reception area is actually at the back of the bar so you've got to walk through a covered canopy filled with smokers every time you want to go in or out of the hotel.
