This was myself and my partner's second stay in the Ramada encore. Our first visit was pleasant, but unfortunately this is not a review of that stay. The evening we arrived we found the double room we had booked was in fact a twin room, with no hope of pushing the beds together to make a double. We went to reception to change roms but were informed that the hotel was booked out that night, but that we would certainly be accomodated in a double room the following evening and could have a free drink at the bar the following evening to make up. The next day we went to reception to change rooms. The lady behind the desk (who had the air of a manageress) was rude and unaccomadating and informed us that the hotel was very busy as a tour group had decided to stay, that we had no hope of switching to a double room and that we were "lucky to have a room at all" and then went and busied herself in another room.The friendliness of the other staff was also quite variable. I will not be returning to the Ramada Encore.

Rooms are nice, but hotel is very basic. No food (except breakfast) availiable at the hotel, instead they only offer "dine out" experiences - which is not great in the pouring rain when you just want a sandwich!!!

The Ramada Encore in Oranmore is very well situated in relation to the town's amenities. It was also relatively easy to find, and had very easy access to Galway City (10 minutes in a car). The room itself was well appointed. We had a lovely small balcony (great for the smokers!) and the amenities provided were more than adequate. The bar/restaurant area is very basic, however - there isn't much ambience (it's like an airport lounge). However, the breakfast was pretty good, and the menu looked well-stocked. All in all, a very good stay for a reasonable price.

We were very impressed with the ultra modern design of our room. Possibly the best we have encountered with a lovely walk in shower as part of the large en-suite. Staff were most friendly & customer-focus was top notch. We had evening meal on one night which was tasty & good value. Just one cause for complaint - the wi-fi was not working in the bedroom although it functioned all right in the foyer. We would definitely return here again if visiting Galway area.
