The Hotel rooms are very spacious. All rooms have super king size bed, underfloor heating in all tiled areas and a balcony. All room have excellent view of the Remarkable's mountain range and the lake from the balconies. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated with European fittings and have a walk-in shower. LCD tv's are standard and have a broadband connection. The furniture is custom built by a local company and is a real feature of the hotel. The restaurant on site showcases local produce and the menu changes on a monthly basis. Choice of either the True South dining room, or Bordeaux the wine lounge. This property has a very substantial international Wine cellar. Modern exterior utilising local Otago stone and timber built in 2008. The large lobby is styled as an alpine lodge with exposed beams and stone walls, leading form the lobby is the lounge with plenty of very nice seating, sofas and lounge chairs. A large painting of the properties namesake Mr William Rees dominates one wall. A floor to ceiling panoramic window takes up the entire end of the lounge area. The Rees is a stunning new property with a real emphasis on beautifully designed interiors and furniture, as well as excellent service. The Rees is located in Queenstown on the Lakefront edge of Lake Wakatipu. It's positioned so it has breathtaking views of the lake and of the Remarkable range of mountains.
